Here it is near a spoon, which is the closest I could get to it.

My evening internet surf is completed, so I'm heading downstairs and going to bed.

Good night!

I have been looking at the forthcoming Beatles remastered box sets, but they are so horribly expensive...

Anytime I find myself tempted by some of those "newly remastered" or "audiophile" reissues, I just remind myself that I don't have audiophile-quality playback equipment.  If I'm not able to get everything out of those reissues, well... I'm very happy with the "regular" product.

I'm happy to report a bear did not get into our yard.  In fact it wasn't a bear at all.  Something knocked the gate ajar.  The problem has been fixed and a heavy duty lock has been put on the gate.

What if a bear has the key?

I'm sure there are some DRs who wouldn't mind if a bear had a key from time to time.

Well, I have three loads of laundry to fold, and an overnight bag to pack before I head to bed for a few hours.

I hope everyone's tomorrow is better than today. (Even if you had a good day today.) :)

Goodnight.

I don't know. It is a "fishing spider," which may or may not cause problems. I will ask a professional tomorrow.

Back from a long day.  I finished proofing the book, then went to see the Harry Potter movie at the Grauman's Chinese, then grabbed a bite to eat.

Nothing exciting happens; I just taped until my memory card filled up. Elmore and Cillaliz find a shoelace:

DR TCB, I feel you pain. Tomorrow is supposed to be 99 degrees and 102 on Tuesday. My pampered pooch and petulant pussy-cat won't like that much, and neither will I.

Yikes is right.

I could have used a shoelace today.

I could have used a cup holder yesterday.  Did you know that in 1985, cars did not have cup holders.  What am I supposed to do with a car without cup holders.

Creepy thing happened today.  I went to see my friends new apartment and when I walked into the hallway I had this sensation of wanting to fall over.   Scared the heck out of me.  Seems the hallway's ceiling is a foot lower than the rest of the apartment, the walls are not straight for some reason, and Tom decided to fill it with low tables.  The sensation was the same everytime I had to walk through to go to another room.

Like being in a fun house at the park carnival.  Very creepy feeling.

It is 8:00 a.m. and it is already hot in the house apartment.  This is going to be a miserable week - weatherwise.

It's 11:00 at night and it's 94° up in my bedroom! :P

My very strong advice for anyone who's talked about or thought about writing a book or play is to sit down and DO it - it will be the most rewarding thing ever (as it's been for me) and even if it's not brilliant, that doesn't matter - it's the doing of it, the accomplishment of it, the YOU-ness of it.

Yeah!  What BK said! :D

I am eating raspberries for breakfast, which are my favorite fruit.

They are my favorite too

I never want to eat one again. ;D

The one time I got drunk (and it was on purpose) was on vodka and raspberry juice.

Next I watched the last chapter of TORCHWOOD: CHILDREN OF EARTH. What a tragic end! I have read many negative things about the last episode, but I had no problem with the ending with the danger or with the final scene. Seemed like the only recourse in both instances to me.

I thought that it was done well, but I'm just sad that it's all ending. :'(

Then I watched the final behind-the-scenes coda to TORCHWOOD. I hope they will do another series. I'd love to see them rebuild their organization from the ground up.

I'd LOVE to see another season (series), but with that ending...how could they do it??
