DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES was a lot more desperate this week and much less funny than previous episodes this season. The storylines have all taken darker turns, and of course there were some genuine surprises along the way that DH always manages to spring on the viewer.

DH?  Dear husband?

Any more absurd than Delta Burke tackling William Shatner - twice?

No, but everything Shatner does or is involved with on the show is absurd. It's a given with his character.

The funny thing about amazon reviews is that, unless you write a lot of reviews, anyone can just check your profile and notice that you've given reviews only to specific products.  If you get my drift.

I've just crawled back home from a day of cleaning, painting and hauling stuff. I think I'm getting too old to be doing this, or else my cleaning muscles are very out of shape. Ouch. I agree will DR Cillaliz...tomorrow will be an easier day because UI'll only be doing the hard work at night!

Goodnight, all!

Just looking at the LA Times online and I see that they have our film listed in their calendar of new releases. Yay! But the price they quote is quite exhorbitant. Wonder where they got their info?

I made peanut butter cookies with Reese's Pieces tonight, for my dad's birthday. (He turns 60 tomorrow :o)

Speaking of Dad, I'm kind of disappointed in him at the moment, but I'll leave it at that.  :-\

Had a rather nice thanksgiving... There were quite a few relatives miling around my parents place with lots of memories, stories and hijinks...

Some embarrassing moments never cease to go away and now my male friend is teasing me about them... sheesh!!!

This morning (after I sleep and then wake up), my niece and I are going to the movies, but I forget which movie she wants to see.

My niece and I saw "Casino Royale" with Daniel Craig.  There are action scenes galore, a little bit of a story and I actually enjoyed it more than I thought I would...and Daniel Craig is definitely worth looking at. ;)

At 5:00 pm, we start our final week of rehearsals.  We open on Friday!!   In between the movie and rehearsal, I have to get some make-up.  The last time I did a show was four-and-a-half years ago and I haven't used my make-up since then...AND it's packed away in storage and I don't know which box it's in. :(

After the movie, I went to Fred Meyer and bought some new make-up.  Just base, blush, lipstick and eye-shadow.  I'm sure that that'll be enough.  It's a small theater and I have one semi-quick change where I have to take off the drag make-up and one real quick change where I don't have much time to put it all back on, so it can't be too detailed. ::)

DR VIXMOM - the cubes are actually crystal, the battery operated stand has a light inside it that changes colors and so the cube color "changes" too.

Of course a cube & stand would be available for you, if you wish.

Getting ready to watch GERTRUD on TCM.

I hope any DR who was unfamiliar with said talent was able to watch Mr Arch Hall Jr in WILD GUITAR and THE SADIST on Friday night/Saturday morning on TCM.....

If so, I am sure you now have a monkey in your hatband.

From what I've seen, Dreamgirls should at least get a nomination or two for art direction and costuming.

I'd read that there were four six new songs written for the movie.  Does anyone know who wrote the new songs??

I just read Michael's Post #41.  He posted the complete song list. :)

Oh, yes he is. I was hoping he'd be Lupin in the HP movies.
(But after I found out Gary Oldman would be playing Black, I started hoping for Tim Roth, hehehe.)
More lookies at Daniel Craig, see this:

Oh...I almost forgot the best news:  my sister called me during rehearsal tonight and told me that her house sold!!!! ;D She got an offer (and at the full asking price) and she acceped!  It was officially on the market for only seven days.  I'd seen something on TV a few weeks ago about the declining home seller's market and they said that the average house is on the market (now) for 64 days!  So this is wonderful news for my sister!! ;D

Saturday- The Fountain: went knowing almost nothing at all about it, weird and odd and maybe a bit slow at times, I'm not really sure what it was all about, but I'm still pondering over it

Sunday- Stranger Than Fiction: great performances by Will Ferrell and Maggie Gyllenhall, kind of a Charlie Kauffman type storyline, I really liked it

My niece saw "The Fountain" and didn't quite get it, although she liked it.  She wants to see it again so I'll take her...sometime.
