Anne Cusack, Los Angeles Times
REDISCOVERY: Corina Boettger stars as J.M. Barrie’s perpetual boy in Santa Barbara Theatre’s revival of the 1950 “Peter Pan.” Not a musical but a play with music, it’s billed as the first production using Bernstein’s full score.
LATIMES (http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/news/arts/la-ca-peter-pan14-2008dec14,0,6797455.story)
For years, "Peter Pan" stayed buried in plain sight, listed under "Theater Works," that could be licensed for performance. In 1997, Alexander Frey, then the Rome Philharmonic Orchestra's U.S.-born principal conductor, came across a song, "Dream With Me," which had been cut from the original Broadway production.
"If there was one song cut from the original production, might there be more music existing that may have met a similar fate?" Frey wrote in the liner notes for the 2005 recording he conducted for Koch International Classics after years searching for the answer.
Amazing - buried until 1997 when that clever conductor "rediscoverd" Dream With Me.
I guess BK's recording, "The Musical Adventures of Peter Pan" the year before is just chopped liver.

Long ago DR Beekay (Brad) has broken his leg - falling from scaffolding whilst painting his house.
He will have quite a few weeks off work - I'll try and encourage him to make a return visit here. Usually he worked shift work at hospitals and really found it difficult to post much.
He lives about a four hour drive away from here but I shall try and visit in the next few weeks.

Well, my Son-in-Law has finished refurbishing the California house and is about to start his long journey home to his family in Maryland. He's driving a truck and towing a large trailer - and has never done any long distance driving. I laid out the whole trip for him and made all his Motel reservations. Hopefully, the weather will behave as best can be expected in December. (I warned him in Aug that he'd best plan on leaving no later than the end of Oct.)
The Itinerary:
Sunday - Claremont CA to Gallup NM - I210 to I15 to I40 [610 miles]
Monday - Gallop NM to Clinton OK (Outside OK City) I40 [600 miles]
Tuesday - Clinton OK to Brownsville TN (Past Memphis) I40 [610 miles]
Wednesday Brownsville TN to Roanoke VA I40 then I 81 [585 miles]

Travel vibes and music for DR ELMORE.
-
DR Laura - welcome home. I'm glad you were able to be with your sister.
-
Good morning, all! I am packed and rarin' to go. In about 2 hours, I'll call my car service and head out to LaGuardia. Keep them vibes coming!
The PETER PAN publicity really irks me for several reasons, some personal and some scholastic, but when I was working on 1600 PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE for the Bernstein estate in the late 1980s, I wanted to edit a new edition of the PETER PAN music but I was told no one would ever be interested in it. Given what Alexander Frey recorded, I think I would have done a better editorial and scholastic job. Much as I like a lot of his recording (not, however, the Captain Hook!), I find its notes vague and an insult to musicology. As to the wonderful "Dream With Me," he records an inflated version of the song created for the Chelsea review BY BERNSTEIN from the 1970s, later scored for full orchestra by Sid Ramin, and passes it off as the song from the original production. The version BK recorded is exactly what exists on the original manuscript, not an expanded concert piece, which is all wrong for the songs written for PETER PAN.
Now I've vented, once again, on my wrongs by the Bernstein office. Come back, Charlie Harmon! They need you.
DR DearReaderLaura, welcome back! I've missed you and your photos. I'm glad your sister is doing better.

Well, he was supposed to officiate today, so had to make a decision Friday in order for them to make other arrangements. He had his sermon all written, too.

I'm off to do some errands before places get too crowded. Bye for now!

Among other things yesterday, I attended a Edgar Allen Poe reading titled, "Bleak December." It's really quite fantastic HEARING the words aloud and not reading them off the page. Quite an experience and wonderful descriptions.
I'm going to title my next book, Arabesque of Unskilled Limbs."

One of the books that arrived in the latest Jessica's Biscuit delivery is Bruce Aidells's Complete Book of Pork. I'd take it in with me to work, to set next to my register, but something tells me it would be intemperate to do so, this close to Hanukkah.

-
Happy birthday, Tomovoz!
-
We watched HORTON HEARS A WHO! last night. Very cute. Marvelous animation.
Today, we're going to go see FROST/NIXON.
-
The angel won -- and my little devil is none to happy about that -- guess the director in me would never mess with someone's show (plus I really like the director) -- but I guess my speech (I didn't get to that part yesterday) to the cast the day before closing (basically that we're a small theatre, directors and crews talk, so if you want to get cast in future shows, you best not get the reputation of being a trouble maker or diva) did the trick because none of the costume stuff went missing during matinee or closing and the Bad Seed was sickeningly and overly sweet and obliging (the little devil couldn't resist and blurted out "I know you did it" as I carried the box of the gingerbread costume pieces past the Bad Seed as she was heading out the door ...) and the two adult divas were also kissin' up ...
-
... of course, she made a beeline for her parents and they came up and wanted to know why I was accusing their daughter of stealing things (let me count the ways) -- I said not stealing but hiding the costume pieces, and that I had told them three times it had to stop, the Bad Seed starts denying it, and the dad says how do you know she did it, so I start to give examples of what her and her cohorts were doing, she's denying it, so I quickly tire of the her word against mine game and finally said, "Trust me, I know" and walked away (I hadn't even gotten to the one about one of the other parents who helped wrangle them confirming who the guilty ones were ...)
-
Time to let it go, Karen -- except I wonder if they'll be at the clean-up/strike the set ... which means I gotta scram -- gotta load of the clean costumes to return...
-
It's snowing in Portland!

I'm off to Ohio! My next post will be from there. God bless you all and have a great day!

Good morning. What a night! I slept very little, and spent a lot of time trying to find a workable sleeping position for a miserably stuffy little baby. At 5:30 we gave up, got up, and came down to the recliner. Both of us have slept a bit more, but not much. I am now gulping coffee and researching humidifiers to buy for our bedroom. DH Jed hates the idea of one, since he hates humidity, but we're out of other options to help Toby get over this stuffy nose. The cold outside is making it worse, I'm sure. We have a light dusting of snow outside, and the temp is barely reaching 30. But, after reading Cilla's post, I don't feel like I have any right to complain! :D

-
How can it be ten o'clock already?
-
elmore, go the the LA Times site and write a letter to the editor AND the author of the article - records must be set straight.
I think the article is just plain vague, although, I think it actually implies that the conductor did not come across "Dream With Me" until 1997 for himself, by himself, not that the song was "buried" until then. But...
bk - Just write the letter to the L.A. Times yourself. You produced the album, so you're most definitely an "authority" here. Do you ever read the Letters to the Arts Editor in the New York Times? They're filled with comments, corrections and clarifications from composers, conductors, performers, scholars and producers. And the "credit" is always given in a post-script after the body of the letter - free publicity!
-
And even though, at this point, it would be a little over five hours belated...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DR TOMOVOZ!!!!!

It might not have been so bad if the woman, who must have been too scared to stay in the car, got our while they moved up the road again. After going a few feet they stopped again to let her back in, and that was it. Now they have slid backwards into the ditch.

All the children are arriving next week making six of us. God I hope the weather is nice. We can't use my car with snow or ice on the road & there are only 5 seats in the SUV. I also hope I'm not sick. I have too much to do, plus I want to hug my boys without making them sick. Bryan has mid-terms to study for & take after the break & Craig has to continue his search for a job. Going into an interview sick has got to be a definite disadvantage.

Thanks DR JOse. The car going down made it out, with some difficulty. The car going up is waiting for the expensive tow truck.
We know it is expensive cuz we used him yesterday. I should have expressed to Keith that driving my car up the road is very different from driving his SUV with the studded tries. In his car he drives up slowly....My method is to go as fast as possible & pray the entire time. While there is no guarantee my method would have worked yesterday, we know his didn't.

DR Der Brucer - Be sure to warn your Son-in-Law that there are lots of mountains - steep grades coupled with some long-winding stretches - during the last two segments of his trip. I81 through Virginia is also a longer - and hill-ier(!!) - trip than one would think, and it's best to fill-up the gas tank "ahead of schedule" in order to avoid being trapped on top of one of the mountains trying to find an open gas station far off one of the exits. -And since he'll also have a trailer in tow..

I am taking up an offering to buy Portland a collective brain to use when natives need to drive in the snow. The nice thing is, they'll only need to use it once or twice a year, so it should have a good shelf life.
-
at 63 I am very much over the hill and on the slope.
Oh I wasn't implying anything. ::)
another two decades and some major body work and MBarnum will be interested!
-
Our street, for instance, probably has 8-10 abandoned cars just left in the middle of the street because their drivers saw a flake or two of snow and had nervous breakdowns.

Back from the long jog - even though the sun is out, it's really quite chilly and I just don't like jogging in cold air. But, I did it, and now I shall drive about in my motor car for a little while, after which I shall return with some food and watch some DVDs.

Well, I've gone through the "you can't predict your gas consumption solely based on miles driven" and "there is not a filing station wherever you need one" lesson at least three times; he thinks 20 miles of highway without roadside service is desolation. To compound the problem, he keeps toying with the idea of skipping the Roanoke layover and continuing the last leg of the trip through the night.

Sometime I'd like to take VA drive as a passanger so I could enjoy the scenery

Sorry I have been E&T but I have been putting in extra hours at work due to the library being open for 24 hours for Dead week and Finals week.
However, I have today off since the library is closed due to inclement weather....

I'm sorry I missed DR Vixmom.
It is snowing here.
DR Tomovoz, what is the weather in your part of the world. I hope it has been perfect for your birthday.

The windchill right now is 22 degrees below zero and the winds are gusting to 50 mph. Think I'll stay inside today. Wonder how Dakota is doing. It's really cold and snowy in Fargo
I am basically drifted in... nice place to be and that is at home... THere is not travel advised up here and the two interstate highways are closed along with several key US highways.

So...
I'm currently watching "West Side Story" on Channel 13, WNET, and I'm wondering...
Were the gangs back in the late 50s, early 60s always that well-dressed, well-tailored, well-coiffed and well-choreographed?
;)
You're not going to ask about their ability to sing while dancing and in perfect harmony, too?
-
Not much on here.... Listening to the Mormon TAbernacle choir and orchestra christmas concert
-
Page Six Dance!!!
-
I ate lunch while watching the rest of SCROOGE. The score is so splendid that I find myself enjoying it more every time I watch this movie. And, unlike the WHITE CHRISTMAS transfer, this one looks really good upconverted.
-
I had a little less than two hours left of the afternoon so I watched TOMORROW NEVER DIES. I hadn't watched this upconverted on my "new" TV (which is now 15 months old), and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing it again.
I remember seeing this in the theater and was SO disappointed by the soft picture and very washed out color. Not so the DVD which is sharp with excellent color saturation. One of the reasons I no longer enjoy going to the theater much is that we don't have excellent cinemas here. It's really a roll of the dice not only with projection and sound but also with the prints they send our way. Oftentimes, the prints of even new films look as if they've already been running for months.
-
After I finish the remainder of my Sunday chores when I go back down (cleaning my bathroom and putting away the folded laundry), I'll fire up THE DARK KNIGHT. I'm really looking forward to finally seeing it.
-
I also have the DVR set to record that TCM documentary on Disney's live action films, the DEXTER season finale, and P.S. I LOVE YOU on HBO-HD so I can see the whole thing. All of this while I'm watching THE DARK KNIGHT.
-
Happy, Vacation, Ron! When do you fly home?
Tomorrow night, 11 p.m. Arrive in Columbia SC somewhere between 9 and 10 a.m. Tuesday (with a one-hour layover in Atlanta).
Will be posting throughout my South Cackalacky sojourn!!!

Complain away... This is what winter is on the plains. You just stay inside and tell everyone how cold it is outside.

Cilla,
You floor exploits remind me of my first major home re-modeling effort.
We had purchased an old house in Norfold Va and the door to butler's pantry was missing its frame. I bought the proper lumber, a miter saw box, etc. measured three times and cut once. I made what I would consider a near-perfect door frame.
Then I discovered the ugly truth - no way was that door way square!
So I had a perfect frame surrounding a crooked dooway and it looked like something from a fun house!

Wait until you try and tile an un-square floor!

The Bagley recordingwas around 1983 or so, as I recall, and I suspect Ben used just the song - I find the album for the most part too painful to listen to so I have no memory of it - and my friend Kim Criswell recorded the Sid Ramin concert version, which was first used in BY BERNSTEIN, and then later scired by sid for conceret orchestra. When I arranged the song for the NYCGMC and publication by Boosey & Hawkes, my starting point was the original manuscript copy from PETER PAN, which is what Glory recorded on BK's recording.
I'm in Ohio! Still learning the ins and outs of my rental car. Randy was a big help.
Thank you all for the vibes.

Well that was a pointless venture. A friend of mine had invited me up to Seattle to see a show, Black Nativity, that is currently showing at the Intiman Theater. She's about to take over running the lights, so she'd gotten two comp tickets to see the show first. Anyway, in spite of a bit of snow on the ground, I decided to drive up. I had to pick her up at her place in south seattle, and that's where the trouble started. Although the freeways were dry and bare, her streets were icy and horrible. She lives halfway down a hill towards the water, and I made it to her house with a few scary moments, but I made it. Then we tried to leave to get up to the show, and I couldn't get back up the hill. I tried and tried and kept spinning out. We gave up, and went back to her house to wait for the sand trucks to come out.
By the time they came out, it was too late to catch the show, so I just came home.
Meanwhile, Toby was having a horrible day here. He's still not feeling well, and he just wouldn't stop screaming for Jed. He wasn't hungry, wasn't wet, wasn't tired...just wanted me. As soon as I got in the door he nursed a bit and is now totally sacked out.
I should have just stayed home. Ugh.
-

'WALL-E,' 'TORINO' WIN BIG FOR '08
The American Film Institute's list of the year's best in film and TV also includes 'The Wire,' 'The Shield.'
By Susan King
December 15, 2008
The American Film Institute named its best films for 2008 on Sunday afternoon and the big winners were " Wall-E," the Disney/Pixar animated romantic comedy about a lovable robot, and "Gran Torino," Clint Eastwood's drama about a widowed bigot who faces his own prejudices.
The AFI Awards 2008 also recognized a pair of television programs, both critically acclaimed cable cop dramas which concluded this year: FX's "The Shield" and HBO's " The Wire."
Besides "Wall-E" and "Gran Torino," AFI rounded out its 10 outstanding films of the year with the fable-like "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button"; the Batman adventure "The Dark Knight"; the historical drama "Frost/Nixon"; a tale of illegal immigrant smuggling, "Frozen River"; the comic book adventure "Iron Man"; the portrayal of slain gay-rights activist Harvey Milk's life, "Milk"; a drama about a woman and her dog, "Wendy and Lucy"; and a drama about an aging athlete who won't quit, "The Wrestler."
Joining "The Shield" and "The Wire" in the television category were NBC's workplace comedy " The Office," HBO's psychological drama " In Treatment," NBC's cop drama "Life," ABC's drama-thriller " Lost," and two AMC dramas, the Emmy-winning "Mad Men" and the off-kilter " Breaking Bad."
Two HBO mini-series also were honored: " John Adams," based on the bestselling book by David McCullough about the nation's second president, and "Recount," based on the events surrounding the 2000 presidential election.

Just home after a long day of music making, and I'm too pooped to pop. Why I would want to pop is anyone's guess. But I'm pooped, nonetheless. I'm tired of "making" Christmas for everyone else. I need some time for myself! :P

Yesterday, I did nothing but watch TV (and deleting shows off the DVR), perform in Reefer Madness! The Musical! and go to a cast party afterwards. :) I didn't get home until about 2:30 am. A good time was had by all!
-
Today, I eventually woke up after a long night's sleep and was supposed to help my sister go and cut down a Christmas tree from a local tree farm, but FORTUNATELY we didn't have to do that. It's been snowing here ;D and too cold to go through the hassle of our own tree cutting, so she got one from a local place that helps to raise money for a charity.
It was much easier and a good deed was done. :D

Schools will be closed tomorrow. Our particular street, which is quite hilly, is now a total sheet of ice (coldest overnight temps tonight in over a decade--probably only 15-18 degrees). I'm concerned, as I'm supposed to play a rather large memorial service tomorrow and am not sure I can get off my hill to sanded streets.

How is your cross country sking?
-
OK, I think the HHW Board is Gaslighting me. Before I posted that last tidbit, TCB's comment was ABOVE my comment about it still snowing.
What did you do with the brooch?
-
Have them bring the service to you, DR JMK.
-
I still have to ketchup on most of today's posts and just about all of yesterday's posts, but I have to leave now for the theater. We haven't had sold-out audiences, like we've had in previous years, but it's making money. :) After tonight's show, we'll have four more performances. And whether we've had a lot or a few in the audience (we had 26 people on Friday), we put on a good show. It's been a lot of fun!
-
DR George, I looked at our trees & they have a bit more snow on them than yours do. We can still see the bark like you can, just less of it.
-
That's beautiful, George.
Thanks! Here's the other picture that I took at my sister's:

Cool!
It's stopped snowing here, though. :-\

Is your sister's house, the little blue one?

The Grand Cross Moon from Friday night......

Almost 50 degrees here with some rain.
Safety vibes to the DR's who are dealing with Snow! Remember, you can wash your hair in it!
Well, I'd avoid the yellow stuff.

Is your sister's house, the little blue one?
Fortunately, no.
;)
-
And now, I must be going. It's supposed to be a VERY cold week. Right now (according to www.weather.com), it's 29° F! I'd better bring my remote car door opener. I only use it when it freezes, because it's big and bulky in my pocket...and that's not a euphemism...or a good thing.
Until later!

Is your sister's house, the little blue one?

I do not enjoy snow before the holidays. It makes it difficult to get out & do the things that need doing, and it makes traveling very difficult. We can not afford any travel delays this year!!! The boys must arrive on time!!!

I'm back just in time to wish our dearest Tomovoz a Very Happy Birthday!

Edisaurus, did you see my comment about "The Closer" yesterday? If not, I'll repeat it.

Thank DR Edi.
(and King Parrot)
-
Thanks for the card, DR Vixmom. My mom went to college at Ashland, so I know she will enjoy it, too!
Vibes to you for a restful night.
-
I was off decorating the mantle and missed DR Vixmom - continued vibes!!!
I just decorated my mantle, too! Since we haven't had a tree for about 5 years, I decided I had to do something. It just looked too depressing. So I decorated the mailbox, door and mantle, and it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
-
December is just flying by!

Last week I walked to church in the snow. A first for me!
A person's first steps are a real milestone. Congratulations!

-
Happy, Vacation, Ron! When do you fly home?
Tomorrow night, 11 p.m. Arrive in Columbia SC somewhere between 9 and 10 a.m. Tuesday (with a one-hour layover in Atlanta).
Will be posting throughout my South Cackalacky sojourn!!!
Wish you were in Atlanta for longer, Ron---we could show you the town!

A few hours ago there was just a light dusting of snow on the ground...and now....

This is in the downtown area where I live...out south it is much worse...and my friend Mustafa is stuck at work with no way to get home as the cabs are not running due to the snow out there.

Yes, but I'm still catching up. I haven't even found the porn yet!
-
Poor Mustafa. Is there someplace for him to sleep?
-
OK. Now I have! "Game Show Orgasm", LOL...
-
Can someone tell me how to find the notes from previous days?
-
Edisaurus, to directly to haineshisway.com - and then the archive and you'll find what you need.
Now, I have no idea what's going on here, so someone needs to spell it out for me so I can do something about it.
-
To the left of today's notes you will see "unseemly linkage". Under that, second from the left, is column archives.

Bruce go to the "newest member" under forum stats & remove that guy. You will know it is the right person when you click on his name.

I have no need to look up the "newest member", nor his resultant spam/porn. Who knows what types of other spam you could end up attracting by clicking through? -Remember: Don't Feed the Animals.

I have deleted everything I found - thanks to Der Brucer for making it easier. I have banned the person who did it, and the newly registered person. Please keep your eye on the new members and let me know if I need to ban anyone else.

Earlier I did warn not to open anything. I don't think reading his/spams posts will open anything dangerous.
A new name? I do see it, is this the 2nd or 3rd once Bruce deleted the first name?

So...
I tried to buy a new winter coat today, a more "dressy" one. I had spotted a couple at Banana Republic that I really liked, and since they were offering 40% off all of their outerwear this weekend - "Three Days Only". Well, I tried on the jacket I really liked, and, sadly, the sleeves were a bit too long. -And having it tailored would have negated any of the savings. So, I tried on another jacket, and, again, the sleeves were still too long. The salesman who was helping me then told me that a lot of people were complaining about the sleeve lengths this year - which probably explained why they had so many coats and jackets still on their racks, and why some of the "new models" which just came out a month ago, were already being marked down.
-And that was my semi-vent. ;)
-
-And I then tried on jackets and coats at The Gap - also part of the Banana Republic family - and all of their coats were too long in the sleeves too.
-
I've written to Bakalor and also to the software people to see what can be done about this. I think it's time for me to become a proper admin so that I can actually remove these creeps rather than ban them. They're all coming from gmail accounts - and I may report each one of them to gmail.
-
Well, didn't everyone back then sing and dance already?
-
Watched the Dark Knight last night/
People will complain about the smallest things.
Switching from IMAX to the standard size.
I had to point out to the other people who were watching when it happened.
???
What happened?
If you had to point it out, then were you the one complaining?
Were you in a theatre?
???
-
We got the first of our next crop of rain storms tonight. It wasn't heavy, but looks like it's going toi be on and off for the next four days.

About as much as they were well groomed.

I certainly agree wholeheartedly with the AFI's choices for the year's outstanding series programming. I don't watch every one of those shows, but shows like THE OFFICE, LIFE, MAD MEN, THE SHIELD, LOST are certainly tops in their fields and worthy of many, many accolades.
-
I began my evening watching THE DARK KNIGHT. I enjoyed it very much even though I did think it was too long.
The switching between IMAX and 2.39:1 was mostly effortless, and one gets so drawn into the movie that it's really not noticeable. I did notice the stunning picture quality, though. The Dolby TrueHD was excellent, too, but I didn't quite get the sweeping encompassing sense of surround with this that I got with BATMAN BEGINS.
-
Page Eleven Dance!!!

! ! ! ! ! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DR TOMOVOZ ! ! ! ! !
-
Next, I watched the Disney documentary from TCM. No, it wasn't (and couldn't have been) all inclusive, but certainly the high spots were all hit, and what a pleasure to see so many actors associated with the era still alive and kicking. And some like Kurt Russell, Nancy Olsen, and Michele Lee look very good. Nice to see hearthtrob James MacArthur still hale and hearty. Good for him!

Then, I watched the season finale of DEXTER. Though it couldn't possibly match the breathless excitement of the last two years of finales, it still had some really tense moments and was well done. A satisfying season all around.
-
To conclude my evening off, I watched another episode of HONEY WEST. In this one, a collection of gowns was stolen and held for ransom on the eve of their unveiling. Slick little caper but nothing great.
-
Tomorrow I'll be back to work on THE DUCHESS, I guess.

well, my mother was supposed to come up from Eugene, OR this afternoon. As of right now, chains are still required to get through Portland, so she hasn't left her home yet. She was going to try late tonight, but I talked her into waiting until tomorrow afternoon. Jed can cancel his dentist appointment and he doesn't work on Mondays anyway. I hope the roads are better tomorrow. But with the bad weather and her night blindness, I really would not have felt safe with her driving overnight.
-
To night I watched a movie I had Tivo'ed yesterday on TCM--REMEMBER THE NIGHT. Not quite the Christmassy movie it promises to be, but it was okay.
Afterwards, I popped in AMAHL AND THE NIGHT VISITORS, which instantly wrapped me up in its simple sweetness.
-
Yes, DR Ann, all you peeps in the great white northwest should stay safe in your homes, make some popcorn, put a fireplace dvd on, and sit and snuggle close together for the night.

Thank you DRs Penny and Dan.

I had a busy Blu-ray weekend. Watched "Wall-E" and LOVED IT.
Watched "The Dark Knight"...and found myself fidgeting a lot. I didn't enjoy it as much as "Batman Begins", but I'll concede that I have other things on my mind that, this afternoon, have had me a bit on edge as tomorrow grows closer. My flight is, actually, just under 26 hours from right now.
Last night, I watched the "Smile Box" version of "How the West Was Won" and I was STUNNED at how much better it was in Blu-ray than it was in Standard. And the curved image was quite a treat as I've never seen some of those scenes with the left and right images "in focus" and looking "normal" until now.
I will be packing first thing tomorrow. When I'm certain I have everything I need all together and ready to go, I'll probably begin "relaxing."
It rained all afternoon here. And it was COLD this morning, too.

I just finished watching GHOST TOWN.
I saw it a couple of months ago in a theater and it was just as funny this second time around.
The outtakes were LOL hilarious.

Good night Cilla... My dail up connection has been downright challenging at times.
