Morning all. That is all. I'm in DC & having a great time. Ii'm posting from my reader and it is not simple so this will be it for today. I saw Jose last night after the show. I did not read yesterday's posts because it's too much work. I'll read when I get back to the city. Bye for now!
And the word of the day is: MATERFAMILIAS!
DRs John G and Nursie, I send vibes for your travails, injuries and grief.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Me mum. ;D
My mom:
My mom (and dad)
And for Mother's Day, here's my unstable mother with a rowdy handful: me.
Here's a pic of my mother from my third birthday party. From left to right in that pic: an Auntie, my Uncle Bayani, my Auntie Sol, my Mom holding my brother Michael, my Dad, and my brother Don is sitting next to me wanting to blow out the candles before I do.
Me, too.And for Mother's Day, here's my unstable mother with a rowdy handful: me.
I am really enjoying all these pictures

Certainly An Adventure !
But this is actually one of my favorite pictures of us together. It was a mother/daughter Halloween party and her costume pretty much sums up her sense of humor:

Health VIBES for Jose's Mom!!
Attention, "Downton Abbey" fans and Titanic fans:
From an interview with author Julian Fellowes:
Since "Mary Poppins" premiered in 2004, Fellowes has been very busy. A sequel he wrote for "Downton Abbey" is on the way. (Part I aired recently on PBS.)
And the writer is now immersed in another "remake": a four-part TV miniseries for ABC about the Titanic. "We've found quite an interesting structure for it," he said. "We try to present a very rounded picture of the whole ship, with characters in first, second, third class, and with officers, servants, boilermen.
"Normally you have to sit through the whole thing before the boat sinks. We sink it every week. But only in the last episode do we find out who lives and who dies."
I had a lovely lunch out with my kids, and this cake wreck was awaiting me when I got home:

I have got to stop buying in used DVD store without taking lists. I just discovered i have two copies of MIDDLEMARCH. Would any DR like a copy?I almost bought a copy Thursday.
Thank You for all the VIBES for my mother. They seem to be working their magic again. She had a tooth extraction - well, two teeth - done last week. Once she got home, the meds she was put on caused her to bleed out a bit too much. Basically, the meds she's been on since her mitral valve replacement should have been considered when she was prescribed the meds for her dental procedure. My Dad had actually taken my Mom to the ER three times since Thursday, and the third time they decided to go ahead and admit her since she had lost too much blood. There's a slim chance she'll be released tonight, but we're all thinking that they're going to wait until the morning. In the meantime...More vibes for her and you.

I drove down with my brother, Don, and his daugher, Alexandra. Then my brother Michael and his kids - John Michael, Alyssa and Emily - arrived about an hour later. It was a Perfect Gift for my Mother. :)
We left the hospital about and hour ago, and are at my parents' house where my father had a nice dinner waiting for all of us: tenderloin steaks, chicken nuggets for the kids, salad, egg-drop soup, rice, and even brownies and ice cream for dessert!
I've been checking out the internet regarding the flooding in Memphis. Of course my mother said I'm crazy to go the day after the river crests, but it looks like it will be fine. Got the house/cat sitter all lined up. They moved the cooking contest and now have a great logo on the site "Memphis is cooking come hell or high water"http://www.memphisinmay.org/bbq (http://www.memphisinmay.org/bbq) The seminar is at the law school and that looks like it will be within a block of the flooding, but I think it will be fine
I'm glad your mom is ok, Jose.

Health vibes and Bubble Wrap suits to DS Bryan and his equally danger-prone mother - Jane!
I really loved WUTHERING HEIGHTS, which is certainly a much more convoluted and ugly story than the MGM film ever imagined. I wish the film hadn't been so dark at times, which I'm sure was intentional, because I often didn't know where the hell I was. The cast was quite good and very grubby and unwashed. Miss Bronte sure makes Thomas Hardy look like Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm. I think I'd like to read the book now.If only Miss Bronte could make Thomas Hardy disappear.
I've just watched the trailer for the new remake of THE THREE MUSKETEERS, maybe my all-time favorite novel, and I don't know what I think. On the positive side, the screenplay is by the trustworthy Andrew Davies but it looks as though the film will be a 3-D "action" picture as opposed to the highly romantic, and sometimes comic, story of a young man's coming of age. The Richard Lester 2-part film is hard to beat. The last remake was so horrid that I don't think I saw more than 15 minutes of it before I returned the DVD to Netflix.Oh, my, but that looks bad. Postmodern and cheeky with bad special effects and karate moves. time to return to Richard Lester.

Happy (very late) birthday to George. :-[
