My dinner with Debby is on.  Hallelujah, as I am starving.  She'll be here in about ten or fifteen minutes and then off we shall fly to a restaurant to be decided upon.

Whilst I am gone, keep the home fries returning.  For example, feel free to discuss the word "falafel" amongst yourselves.  I shan't be home too too late and then I will post with renewed fervor.

Yes, I actually saw a picture of Cheney bundled-up like a lumberjack on the internet.  I think it is just another example of this crass, insensitive, uncaring administration.  How many examples do people need before it penetrates?

My heart goes out to pet-owners td & Jay. It is so tough. I need to go give Tewkes a hug and cat Mosby as much of a hug as he'll let me.

I had shrimp with garlic sauce and spring rolls.  They bounced a lot.

I have been enjoying my CD of THE FANTASTICKS which includes one of my all time favorites songs.  I must say no one sings SOON ITS GONNA RAIN  as well as Bruce.  If CP is correct that Guy Haines sings better than Bruce, than it is the song I want to hear Guy Haines sing.  I need proof.

Thank you, Dear Reader Laura.  I am reminded now that you and Dear Reader Sandra actually met Roller when you were here in December.

DR Jay, I'm so sorry to read about Roller, but I know it means a lot to you to have been able to be with him in his final moments. I'm sure that made him very happy.

I checked my laserdisc, and DEEP IN MY HEART is indeed in stereo. In fact, it's mastered for Dolby DIgital 5.1 if one's receiver can decode the laserdisc. Otherwise, it's Dolby Surround. I looked at a bit of it after I finished checking. The cameo musical spots are lots of fun in this film. The bio itself is pretty stiff and bland.

Oh, dear, they're calling for a terrible snow, sleet, ice storm for here tomorrow, so if I don't log on, you'll know I lost power. And it was in the 70s two days ago!

I walked to the store today.  I carried my bags home with me.  I misjudged the weight a bit...I was a hurting puppy by the time I got back.  But now I am rested and all is well.

DR Jay, so very sorry to hear about Roller.  When my parents put our basenji to sleep when I was 12, he put his nose in my father's coat as he died.  It means a lot to be with them.  I hope time and vibes will help ease the sorrow.

Jay, as I told TD yesterday, I know it's hard to think of such things right now, but down the road a little bit, think about getting a rescue dog.  Getting BeeGee has been a wonderful "happy ending" for us after having to put both Ethel and Sasha down within a year of each other.  Somehow knowing you've helped save a dog that might otherwise have a miserable life (or even be euthanized) helps console you.  Just a thought.

Just returned from seeing RAY. My that was quite a good film, and Jamie Foxx deserves all of the acolades that he has been getting for his performance in that film!

And the sets, the costumes, and golly, the cars, were all fantastic!!

Are we having a siesta?  My friend has left the home environment, and I have decided, because it isn't raining, to have another Jacuzzi.  It's been so long since I've been able to do it, I may as well have two in a row.
