re: those pics of food.
I thought that was the food for the whole restaurant! :)
That must mean he values you guys as tenants.
Michael Dale on ATC was kind enough to post the parody lyric to the best of his memory for those who need to sing along:
"I remember snippets from when D Jay Bradley would sing it at Don't Tell Mama:
Phylicia Rashad
Phylicia Rashad
Phylicia Rashad
She plays the mom, Bill Cosby plays the dad.
She's the sister of Debbie Allen
She's the sister of Debbie Allen
She's the sister of Debbie Allen
Who used to be on Fame.
She's the sister of Debbie Allen
She's the sister of Debbie Allen
She's the sister of Debbie Allen
But now nobody knows her name."
DR Ben -
It's a world of laughter
A world of tears
It's a world of hopes
And a world of fears
There's so much that we share
That it's time we're aware
It's a small world after all
There is just one moon
And one golden sun
And a smile means
Friendship to ev'ryone
Though the mountains divide
And the oceans are wide
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small, small world
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
So who the frell was that Angie Dickinson looking woman I and a couple of others asked about months ago? I think that was a L&O:CI. That's everyone's next assignment. :)

DR Jose re: SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE.
What did you think of it?
I was so annoyed in the middle of wed's show as i gather were many many others re: natalie.
That was just crap. I also felt so bad for alex the ballet dancer. But he probably should have found that out first. And i agreed with mary murphy re: natalie's friend, the black guy whose name escapes me right now. He was so good. ANd mia and little c were being so rude to him!
I love the Vegas shows. BUt they are always disappointing because so many people we end up loving from the auditions get cut for no apparent reason. And there are probably 10 people who made it who i have never seen before. What is that about???

Miss Karen just comes around to cause trouble!
You're on shaky ground little girl. I'll take ya all down, just watch me. I'm King of the World!
Now you're making me delusional.
I don't think I played a single note on the piano that whole time.

re: debbie allen
She was one of the judges on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE this week and i thought she came across as very kind and helpful. She tried to make the dancers feel good about themselves even if they were getting cut.
Did I miss someone alerting BK to the CASTRECL thread about the uncropped Li'l Abner?

Maybe today would be a good day to watch AAMIR, DR Elmore.
Maybe today would be a good day to watch AAMIR, DR Elmore.... The writers for this show get paid for such incompetent writing?
Good news: Betsy's Dad is out of surgery and in recovery.
My paper says it was an accidental death, DerBrucer. Don't you just hate it when those ropes accidentally get tied like that?
I'm still trying to figure out why one would want their eyeliner and/or lipliner to be permanent.
There aren't many people I know - or care to know - who don't welcome adding another brownie recipe to their collection.
Sorry, DAW, but you should know by now I never read your posts. :)
Good news: Betsy's Dad is out of surgery and in recovery.
Bad news: He ended up needing a quintuple bypass and the doctors found scar tissue indicating several (yes, several) previous heart attacks. Ed has been looking rather frail lately anyway, and I hope and pray this isn't the beginning of the end. Betsy is very, very close to her parents and I'm not sure she's emotionally prepared for this transition.
We are back from the ribbon-cutting/grand opening of Maxi's Permanent Make-Up, a new business venture of a local retired physician and his wife. They provide all kinds of services that I never knew existed - like eyelash extensions. I'm still trying to figure out why one would want their eyeliner and/or lipliner to be permanent. They also do tattoo removal, just in case...
I need a new DVD shelf.
DR JMK (and Michael S) - For possible future reference: All Things Law & Order (http://allthingslawandorder.blogspot.com/)
DR Cillaliz - Yep, that was a lot of food! MANGIA!!! :)
Is the email from DR ARNOLD BROCKMAN about pictures on Tagged or something like that a scam?

Ooohh... Looks like we might be getting a rent reduction(!!!!).

That's what I said when it closed on Broadway.

Even if it is missing the usual pharmaceutical enhancement.

My sister's ex-sister-in-law (who lives down the street from the house that my sister has just moved out of) has permanent eye-liner AND lip-liner. She's been having it done for years.
The music in the elevator here is Phantom of the Opera. I know why, you can see it here, but I am so sick of it....AHHHHHH!

If it is permanent, why has she had it done for years?
TOD: I'm listening to Christmas music today. "I love the winter weather....."
I got a new player and radio - I had no idea how cheap this stuff is now and the new radio/player has a cord for my iPod, so I can have that in the car, too.
The production of PHANTOM at The Venetian is wonderful. 92 minutes, no intermission, and all those extra verses are gone. Plus the theater and the chandelier are incredible.
It was a lot better when the WSMA was in it, but most things are.

I agree, TCB. Plus, I have a friend in the show, so he has arranged awesome seats for us a couple of times.

I would gladly pay to see it again! I loved it. I was relieved when Brent told me that a lot of action was done by a stunt double.
The Brent CD will probably record in August - he's going back into Chicago on B'way.
And now I have music in the car again.

How could I not follow those recommendations? I just called and got a second row center mezz seat for tomorrow night at 7:00 PM. Our Saturday night closing party doesn't start until 9:00 PM, so I can still go to that if I want to. Cool beans. The ticket seller told me this seat has a fabulous view of the chandelier. Thanks for suggesting it

Honestly Cilla, I think you will love it. At least, I hope you do. I doubt seriously that I would ever go see PAHNTOM OF THE OPERA on Broadway again, but I would go see PHANTOM in a heartbeat. And Anthony Crivello is wonderful (and a Tony Award winner).

Frankly, the only time I saw Phantom of the Opera was when it was in Des Moines on tour and I was there for a meeting. I'm glad I got the ticket. I'm sure I'll love it and I don't even have to go outside to get to the theater, lol.
It's really strange to think I've only been outside once since I got here....well other than going to the pool. Last night at dinner seemed like we were outside, but of course we really weren't
I love the Venetian. I wish I could afford to stay there.
elmore - Hmmm, it's a good thing you couldn't join us last Saturday night, then. :) One of our delightful guests was one of the writers of AS THE WORLD TURNS - seriously!
Jose, I get conflicting stories about a fee for the actors - first someone told me yes, but the reading that follows us says no and they're under the same contract. I actually think that the latter is correct when not charging admission - which we're not - if you charge, then you pay $100 per actor, which we're doing anyway.

Do your workshop contracts make any differentiation when it comes to offering or not offering the "right of first refusal" for future productions to the actors?
