I think my friend Bryan and I are attending the Sunday, April 11, performance of BRAINEX in Indianpolis - I will of course attend any other performance that MR BK may attend.

DR LAURA discovered that Drunk Duane is actually one of the printer salesmen who lost what he thought was a lucrative contract.

I wish I could attend the Indianpolis BRAINEX--and Olympia. And that's no joke! Photos from both would be nice, both here and for Mr BK's personal collection.

Thursday morning greetings!  Can someone please tell me why I decided to throw a major family dinner party the night before Richard and I have to leave for Easter weekend in Lima?  Yikes, there's a lot to do, including getting our bedroom ready for my sister and her husband to occupy it for the next 3 nights.  Fortunately, we don't have to leave until early/mid afternoon.

LOL-Because your family dinner was so enjoyable ;)

Indeed it was, DR Jane!   I'm sure my cousin appreciated the party, because his mother certainly wasn't going to do anything of the sort.  At one point, my sister looked around the table and said, "This is FUN!"  And it was.

And I'm so sorry to hear that you've had a shoulder set-back - hang in there!

That gave me a chuckle & of course isn't a surprise.

Thanks.  The mini stretches are helping & I'm moving a little more.  It still hurts & I can only do about a minute worth of stretches a time.

OK, I think we're close enough to leaving that it's time for me pack up the laptop.  See y'all when we get to Lima!

As for last night's "American Idol" - which I only FFWD's through because I kept reading reports about how much of a "annoyance" Ryan Seacrest was being last night...

It was interesting to see that they posted a "Strobe Light" warning before P. Diddy's performance.  Is that a new thing for TV shows to do?  Or have I just not watched a show using a strobe light recently?

I didn't watch his performance. but what was the warning?  Did they just post it on the screen? Or did ryan seacrest mention it?
Actually i think it is a good idea since that bothers me and i would probably have had to look away or ff through it.

I was not pleased at how long the show went over since i recorded it. :(

I have a non-Ask BK day Ask BK trivia question:  BK, can you name the zero degrees of separation between your close personal friend David Shire and Percy Faith?  No cheating allowed.  ;)

TOD:  I can't say that any April 1 was particularly memorable.

Same here.  I've never been the subject of a prank, nor have I pulled a prank...that I can remember. ::)

I forgot to respond re: your cadbury easter creme egg comment.

What is the difference between the US vs English versions. I didn't even know there was more than one kind. So I obviously have no idea which ones i've been eating.

I'm going to head down now and get cleaned up in case we do go out to lunch. If we don't, I'll have to head somewhere to pick up something. The cupboard is bare until I go to the store on Friday.

Why not save yourself a trip tomorrow if you end up having to go somewhere.   Combine your dining with an early grocery day.

Certain items that I typically buy are only on sale on Fridays. The local store where I shop has daily specials that are only good on certain days of the week.

DR Matt H., perhaps your April's Fool joke is the squeakquel.

Would that it were a joke. I had heard from some friends with kids who saw it that they thought it was much better than the original film, but I found it fairly lame. More to follow.

I did end up having lunch with friends though it started later than usual on Thursday which put me behind this afternoon with my work. Consequently, I didn't get finished with all of the bonus stuff this afternoon and will have to continue working tonight. That means likely no movies before I start watching BONES.

My Maunday Thursday Joke:

It's the Last Supper, and Jesus announces to his Apostles, "My Brethren, the Roman Guard is on its way here to arrest me.  And it is because one of you has betrayed me."

Well, the Apostles are all shocked and stunned.  They all think so highly of each other that they can't comprehend of there being a traitor amongst them.  So a few begin to wonder if they had inadvertently brought about this betrayal.

Mark goes up to Jesus and he asks, "Was it I, Lord?"

And Jesus turns to Mark and says, "No, my brother, it is not you.  Your love for me is great and it shall one day be transformed into words that shall be read by uncountable numbers throughout the world."

Then Peter goes up to Jesus and asks, "Was it I, Lord?"

And Jesus turns to Peter and says, "No, Peter, it is not you.  Though you shall deny me in the coming hours, your love for me is strong and you will be the cornor stone of my church in years to come."

Then Judas goes up to Jesus and asks, "Was it I, Lord?"

And Jesus turns to Judas and says, "Oh--Was it I, Lord?  Was it I,  Looooord?"

Before I left for lunch, I had time to watch UGLY BETTY. As the show winds down, the writers are slowly changing the character of Betty. When the show started, she was really interested in fashion and wanted to be a part of that scene. Now, however, she's not into such surface pursuits as fashion and looks. She's more about important environmental issues. Kind of left me a little cold with her rising nicely at MODE only for us to find out that's not what she wants at all. Confusing to say the least.

Justin's story was sweet, and it was nice to see characters back who were regulars in years past. Don't like the storyline with WIllie really doing terrible physical and psychological damage to an alcoholic who needs help just to satisfy her sick dreams of power. They had been tempering her character over the last year or so, but now she's worse than ever.

Again, I don't get it, but with the show only on a couple of more weeks, I guess at this point it doesn't matter.

When I got in, I watched my work project for today: ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS: The Squeakquel. Typical silly stuff for juveniles with predictable plots and the addition of the Chipettes who have never been my favorites. Lots of music and slapstick stuff, but, of course, I'm not the primary audience for a movie like this, and it was all I could do to endure it.

Then I started watching the bonus features. I got seven of the bonus features watched, but there are quite a few more, I'd say a good hour's worth of material still left to view. (Some of it is BD-Live which I guess will take some time to load from the net.)

Well, if there was, there isn't a difference, anymore...Cadbury was just purchased by Kraft Foods:

The acquisition of the 186-year-old Cadbury will make Kraft the world's biggest chocolate and confectionery producer by revenue, through the addition of brands including Dairy Milk, Creme Egg and Green & Black's.
