I have another new episode of RESCUE ME coming on tonight. Otherwise, I'll be trying my hardest to get through the remaining episodes of 8 SIMPLE RULES so I can put it behind me.

Up next after that is the comedy WILD HOGS which was a surprise hit back in the spring.

I also wanted to say that tickets for the general public for NYMF go on sale September 1, and I had no problem buying tickets without paying membership fees.  It's all general seating. Of course, September 3  was another story!

DRS Jason and Jose, was Ann Harada there? My email of yesterday to her came back as a bad address.  Bad! Bad address!

I got my BRAIN and STARFIGHTER tickets!!

Now I will consult with my DH and see what other shows, besides SUCH GOOD FRIENDS, he's interested in seeing.

I am also wondering if we should try to see ACL? We've never seen it...

GRAMOPHONEVOTE HERE!

It's Tuesday and I have voted...for Amanda and Bryn!

I gave my Dad some Bryn Terfel music for his birthday last weekend...I think he'll love it!

Just had a call back from Mia at Ovationtix, she said they are fixing it, but she went ahead and fixed it for me so I now have 2 tix for both shows.

Thanks, DR Cillaliz.  I was able to correct/complete my order via the NYMF  website just now.

Well now I have one ticket to Starfighter and Brain and it shows I have 2 more tickets remaining that I can purchase, but it will only let me purchase one for each show.  I may have to get another membership to get Sam's tickets...hrumph

Hmmm...I was able to get 2 tix for each show. I wonder if their site is wonky?

That's right - nasty crack - must be der Brucer :)
OK I have broad shoulders, I'll take the blame 'till Ron fesses up.

der Brucer

Besides -we should blame Jose!

I second that about going to A CHORUS LINE. It's an entertaining and moving show when it's done right, and I'm sure the Broadway version is a masterful presentation of the material.

Will DR Jose still be playing ACL at that time? (if he's not "cruising", that is...)

I enjoyed Rodz's Leading Man column!

Daniel C. Levine was also mentioned. I saw him years ago in the Off-Broadway show, THE GOREY DETAILS. (I am an Edward Gorey fan so I couldn't pass that up.) Daniel played THE DOUBTFUL GUEST, and when he "fell to the floor", he sliced his face on something and carried on the rest of the scene bleeding  until he could get off stage and get bandaged up. I was so amazed that he finished the show that I sent him a get-well card!

Nice to see he now has a list of impressive credits. He obviously has a good work ethic!

I didn't think it was a nasty crack at all!  I do blame Jose.  For everything.  Especially the move.

Only 210 posts until my rather exciting new plateau.  How fast can I get there?

I think you can do it by 3pm if you start right now and go non-stop.    ;)

DR elmore- sorry you had such a yucky day with the moving problems, but I hope once you're settled in that the new space becomes a very happy and productive place for you.

DR Jane,
I did see the headslines about Sanjay Dutt going to jail, but haven't read about it just yet. As I have not kept up with the story I am unsure how I feel about it. If he did what he is accused of I can't understand why he is still such a popular star...unless the people of India are very, very forgiving.

Someone (DR DerBrucer maybe?) referred to me as "lapsed" last evening.  Since my family isn't Catholic, which is how my family in my memories used the descriptive word, I'm not sure the word is totally correct, but it certainly is a better term to describe my feelings about the Vatican mafia and its narrow mind!  Off the soapbox now.

Thank you.  Thank you.

Twas me, alas!
