After I read the morning newspaper, I went out and mowed a side strip that runs along the left side of my house. This part of my yard gets the least attention because cars often part alongside this strip, and I don't notice how overgrown the grass has gotten here. There were no cars yesterday morning, and I was shocked at how overgrown it was. So, I took care of that this morning before it got too warm to do it comfortably.

Today it's back to work for me. I'll be doing EMPIRE OF PASSION, the next film that's a roundabout follow-up to IN THE REALM OF THE SENSES by the same director. Hopefully, this one won't be so graphically intense sexually. Clearly, I've never seen it before, so it'll be new to me.

And now that I've finished watching "CBS Sunday Morning"... And since I just heard from my friends that they're about an hour away... I should get ready to head into town.

I bought KISS ME STUPID sight unseen several years ago when it first came out on DVD. I never saw it when it came out in the 1960s. The cast looked good, and it was Billy Wilder! How bad could it be?  Unfortunately, I hated just about all of it. Didn't find it the least funny, and it seemed labored throughout. Just not for me.

I guess I'll be heading down in a few minutes to get the laundry sorted for washing this afternoon and then start thinking about what's for lunch.

Time to head north to Manhattan School of Music. I've emailed, updated, revised, and written as much as I can before going, and now I'm going.

DR TCB asked where Sean McDermott did South Pacific.

Here is the answer

The recording of South Pacific is actually a studio recording (1996). It is a 2cd release with all the songs, (including reprises) incidental music and entr'acte and exit music.

The main performers on the cd are people who played the role somewhere.

Paige O'Hara (Nellie) did the show in Australia.
Justino Diaz (Emile) FCM's production in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Sean McDermott (Joe) Pace Organization Tour

other people on the recording

Pat Suziki (Bloody Mary on the US release) Long Beach Light Opera
Shezwae Powell (Bloody Mary on the UK release)
Brian Greene (Luthur)

Ron Raines (Harbison) (in a non-singing role!)
Caroline O'Connor (Murphy-nurse)
Nicholas Colicos (Wise-Seabee)
Simon Green-(Hayes-Sailor)

Thanks, Michael S, I need to check out that recording.

Wasn't this rated C by the Catholic Church?

DR ArnoldMBrockman I usually try to leave by 7:00, so to me I left late.

DR Jose one of the growers markets in Portland has some good treats for Sherlock.  Most have oats & grains so we need to be careful of the ingredients.

My computer keeps freezing so I don't know if I will be returning today.  I need to take a break anyway.  The worst area of the poison oak is on my right wrist, where I slide it on the counter while using the mouse.

Vibes to all who need them!

I knew [from previous posts here] that you could get M&M's personalized with your own messages.  But I did not know that you could also get them personalized using your own submitted photos!    Here...
