Next came THE OFFICE, another hilarious outing with the sales staff teaming up to go on sales calls. Funny encounters with the teams showing unexpected teamwork, and new cast member Andy really pulling off a feat - ridding the office of Dwight. I'm sure it won't last, but it was fun to see him go down in flames last night.

SCRUBS had some laughs last night, too, as Carla continued suffering PPD and Dr. Cox and the janitor fought over one of the hospitality suites in the hospital.

I wrapped up the afternoon finishing HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER'S STONE. I've seen this first one fewer times than the others, so it's always nice to see it again and remember certain aspects of it I had forgotten.

So little time, so much to say.

I am here in St. Croix, U. S. Virgin Islands, with my Joe, staying at the Sand Castle on the Beach outside of Frederiksted--yes, exactly the same place that Joe stayed last September when he took his first-time-in-twenty-six-years all-alone-by-himself vacation.  He wouldn't leave until I made reservations for this January.

Basking in sun and in the amazing friendliness of the place, driving abit around the island (On the left, mon!), and generally escaping all those horrible problems from home.

vixmom is attending to them for us.

We walked into the resort and the Desk clerk Irma gave Joe a big hug, the cook said "Welcome back!"  Walking through town, a car stopped and a local woman called out "Joe, I heard you were in town!"

Suffice it to say this is the first vacation in a long time where we have made friends, and many of them.

I am using the one computer in the lobby reserved for guests and must run to see the sunset.  You can see it too, from their webcam, right near our suite:

Just click here and enjoy it with us.

Pizza chain's peso pitch spurs angry reaction

From Staff and Wire Reports

A Dallas-based pizza chain has been hit with death threats and hate e-mails after launching a program to accept Mexican pesos, becoming another flash point in the nation's debate over illegal immigrants.

Glad to see the haters are using their death threats for really major national issues!

I just sent BK my notes on "The Brain."  I'm ready for the next round of production!

DR Jose should be arriving soon and we shall dine before our jaunt to Jones&Schmidtland.  I'm thinking Artie's.

Tomorrow, ugh! Laundry.

After reading about his website in the program, I checked out the site by the young actor playing the Mute.  We've become email buddies, and I urge you all to check out the site and encourage you to keep up his log on how the show is coming along.

Heading down now to mop the kitchen floor and then get back to Mr. Cukor for a bit before settling in with evening TV and DVDs.

I see he's going to be performing Matt Feb. 22-28.  I'm betting you'll go back for at least one of those performances.

I suddenly remember an advertising campaign, which could be altered to read:

"I dreamed I mopped my kitchen floor in my Maidenform bra..."

Does anyone still wear Maidenform?

Be liberated - mop the floor with your maidenform bra.

The day hasn't move along TOO very slowly, after all.

Still....it's another couple of hours before I leave for dinner.

I'm just drooling in anticipation.

Rack-of-lamb anticipation's a delicate art,
Playing a role,
Aching to start,
Keeping control
While falling apart.
Rack-of-lamb anticipation is good for the soul
But it's bad for the heart.

I guess Mr Sondheim wanted to follow up his Gypsy lamb lyric.

Either that, or he had "rack" on his mind for some reason.
