Next, I watched, courtesy of DR MBarnum, MY BROTHER MIKHAIL. A touching AIDS story, reminiscent in parts of PHILADELPHIA and AN EARLY FROST. I wanted to throttle both of those parents, but they did eventually come around. And it did make me weep in several places.
A couple of questions, DR MBarnum:
Is it customary for actors in Bollywood movies to speak a mixture of (I assume) Hindi and English? I was expecting to fully need subtitles, but the language is this quaint mixture.
Are those the actors who are singing or are the voices dubbed by professional vocalists?
Certainly there were some nice ballads inserted into this very sad story.
