Speaking of bad films ala Mr. Hyams' Peeper, I just watched the second of the three Michael Caine films being put out by Fox in a few weeks - Deadfall.  I know you all can't wait for my thoughts - I will only say that the third film is The Magus - our very own Nick Redman told me this anecdote about the latter: When Peter Sellers, toward the end of his life, was asked if he'd have done anything different, he replied, "No, I'd do everything exactly the same, except I wouldn't see The Magus."  Michael Caine has done some of the worst movies ever made, hasn't he?

Sherlock's new resting spot.  He might still fit in there for a few more days. ;D

Jane...what a cutie! Awwwww....

That picture reminds me of our cats' favorite resting place, on the big bunnies.

The film concerns teenagers and a grizzly bear...

Sort of like "Smokey Meets Deliverance".

Well, hello all.

Today was a hot sunny day, and then we had a lovely rain earlier.  It has now cleared up, and there's a lvoely breeze scudding the clouds around the full moon.  Very lovely!  How wonderful it could stay just like this  (well, maybe about 10 degrees cooler in the middle of the day).

The problem is for some reason although I can open the photos and edit them, when I try to attach them I get a message telling me the files are "read only"  >:(

Starting the 1st Century with a  bang!

U.S. OFFICIAL: NORTH KOREA TESTED NUCLEAR WEAPON

When I left the defense industry, I felt it ironic that I had spent the most productive years of my life perfecting the US's ability to launch nuclear-tipped cruise missiles from submarines and I probably would never live to see whether or not I was successful.

Maybe I will  :'(

A.   Make sure the file is not open in any picture software.
B.   Open a window where you can see the icon for the file.
C.   Right click on the Icon and select "Properties"
D.   Make sure the "Read Only" box is not checked.

Open Easy Share again and resave your pictures, taking care to note the location.

The default location for Easy Share pictures is in a Folder Called "Kodak Pictures" in a sub-folder with the date of the download.

Vixmon:

Remember, the edited version of your pictures is probably too large to attach - you need to use the "Save As" feature and select "General Purpose" to get a postable size.

WESTCOAST DRs (and rabbits) BEWARE!

LETTUCE FROM CALIFORNIA RECALLED
Quote
Lettuce From California Recalled Over E. Coli Contamination Concerns
Sunday, October 08, 2006

SAN FRANCISCO —  Less than a week after the Food and Drug Administration lifted its warning on fresh spinach grown in California's Salinas Valley, a popular brand of lettuce grown there was recalled Sunday over concerns about E. coli contamination.

The lettuce does not appear to have caused any illnesses, the president of Salinas-based Nunes Co. Inc. said.

The lettuce scare comes amid other federal warnings that some brands of spinach, bottled carrot juice and recent shipments of beef could cause grave health risks — including paralysis, respiratory failure and death.

Executives ordered the recall after learning that irrigation water may have been contaminated with E. coli, said Tom Nunes Jr., president of the company.

...
The recall covers green leaf lettuce purchased in grocery stores Oct. 3-6 in Arizona, California, Nevada, Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana. It was also sold to distributors in those states who may have sold it to restaurants or institutions.
