Tomorrow will be a party for my neice Megan's graduation from Univ. of Oregon in the morning and then the evening will bring a dance recital for my grandneice Taylor! It will be a busy day for Uncle Mike and family.

Nice to see you posting, Rodzinski!   We hear far TOO LITTLE out of you.

Shortly after moving offices, a company directive came around about internet usage that frightened the bejiminy out of me.

Yes, Edi, Ant saw and loved the picture. He plans on showing it to his father and looking for any family resemblance.

DR Rodzinski, DR JoseSPiano also posted a recommendation on this film and the songs some weeks ago.  I may just have to venture out at lunch and pick this up!

Oh good, he is one of the first people I thought of who would enjoy it because it features such a raw look at the creative process. As for the music, gorgeous! I ventured out at lunch yesterday and bought the soundtrack!

singdaw - Yesterday's performances were the first previews.  Not sure how an official "opening" works there in terms of press.

Ginny, I don't know if Brian (a new poster from yesterday) will make a reappearance but according to his e-mail address he works for the University of Michigan, your alma mater.

DR Ben - thanks for pointing that out.

Come back, new DR Brian, and let us get to know you!

I'm finishing yet another bio of Ivor Novello.

If you had to choose your favorite, which Novello novella would you choose?

Good Afternoon!

:)

Well, according the Nike+iPod thingy I have:

15 Jun 2007, 10:38 AM
Distance: 3.57 mi
Time: 34.33
Pace: 9:40 min/mil
Calories: 569

I can't believe I finally broke the 10:00 min/mil pace!  I mean, I've been averaging a 10-minutes for years!  Well... :)  And I ran my first mile in 8:40!  -I guess I really was motivated!  And then I slowed down a bit, because I knew there was no way I was going to maintain that pace and not have to throw-up at the end of my run.  -Pretty, huh?  In any case... WHEW!!!  :)

DR Rodzinski - I saw "Once" opening weekend, and absolutely loved it.  -And went right over to Virgin to buy the soundtrack.  *And the soundtrack is now on sale this week too!  I'm actually thinking of seeing the movie again this weekend.  And this time at least I'll know how much Kleenex to bring.  That final sequence just did me in the last time.  But it was a good cry.

Word in the park is that Jose is an expert on reservoirs. He's always giving people reservoir tips.

 :o

I am shocked!  Shocked I tell you, DR Rodzinski, at that comment!

However, I do have to say, I do like the little metal travel case they come in.

DR Ginny - I just received word that Wooly Mammoth will be extending the run of Dead Man's Cell Phone.  Alas, they're just adding a week to the run at this point rather than adding a Tuesday night show.  But if things change again, I'll keep you posted.

I am still bummed that there are not Bollywood theaters in Manhattan any longer. That is a sad state of affairs, if you ask me.

Hmm.. I guess DR singdaw did not get the directive about internet usage that DR Rodzinski did.

Actually, the Sweet Corn is quite good too!  -And, apparently, it's the most popular gelato flavor in Brazil.  -Oh, and they also a Yerba Mate variety which is interesting - in a good way.  It's like Green Tea ice cream, only herb-ier.

A GIFT FROM THE SOUTH

Quick: Call the Fashion Police

I'd definitely see it again as well. I've only managed this feat twice in my life, which is to go and see a movie before I knew ANYTHING about it. Someone told me I should see "Once." I said, "Tell me nothing. I'll see it tonight." I took my glasses off in the lobby and everything to avoid learning anything. I didn't know if it was a murder mystery, romance, anything about it. So that was cool. But I'd love to see it again.

The other time was with The Sixth Sense, and that paid off nicely as well.

DR Jose - I'm so glad the show is doing well enough to warrant an extension.  Actually, I have tentative plans now for the Tuesday evening, too, but they could be changed if WM adds a performance that night.  Thanks for keeping me posted!

Well... After being "off" for the past few weeks, it now appears that I'm gonna be quite busy again.  I just got two more calls/e-mails about some work, and, right now, I have just three gig-free days off over the next two weeks. :)
