It's snowing like crazy.  We had freezing rain for a little while this morning, but not too bad. About 3:00 I looked out and it was snowing a little more and I figured the storm was moving in.  So I packed up my work, told Edith we should leave. She said "My husband wishes he had a boss like you" lol.  He teases her by saying any time the weather is bad she'll get to stay home.  I figure it's better to be safe than sorry and I bring work home, so it's not a big deal.   She has the phone numbers for all our appointments tomorrow and if we have to close, I'll have her call everyone.  I'm not convinced we'll be closed, but am pretty sure we may be late.  The wind is bad and we may get 7 inches of snow.

All you say is true but I agree, you are a great boss!! :)

Oh, dear. The City Yard Police Lady just came by. I know she cited the people across the street. I hope she did not cite me as well. I have a frost-damaged shrub and some landscape rock still in my driveway.

Do you receive a warning first before a citation?

I've tallied all the books and printed music I bought last year, and all I have left now is to add up the CDs, which I shall begin tomorrow. I've also confirmed Thursday's tax appointment, and I am very content.

I think my computer is running faster with this new modem. I hate this new power strip. I may file it away and buy another over the weekedn.

No. You get notified by mail. Then she comes back in about a month to recheck.

I got cited when my neighbor dumped a huge pile of dirt behind my fence.

I'll have the landscape rock moved in a couple more days. We are all advised by the nurserymen not to trim the frost-damaged shrubs until March 1. But I'm sure she could care less.

Rehearsal session went very well - we got through everything, I cut one duet, and the show should play very well now.  There's a somewhat daunting Annie Get Your Gun medley (they both have always wanted to do the show so we made a sort of tab version that runs ten minutes), but the songs are so great that it's worth devoting the ten minutes to.  The special material thing which is what the lyric redo was for worked like a charm.  Very, very funny.

So, we're rehearsing every day this week except Wednesday for me, since that's too busy a day - they'll work together that day.

I remember that, still I thought they might not always cite without warning.

George, SEA MARKS was written by the late Gardner McKay.  He used to be on one my favorite TV shows when I was a kid, called ADVENTURES IN PARADISE.  Before your time, but I have a sneaking hunch that MBarnum would know his name.

I even have his autograph on an old TV Guide!

Apparently, as long as you take care of the problem, they let it go. The neighbor on the corner gets cited about every other month. She took a look at his place today.

Surprisingly I did not get tired swimming. But I did get tired doing my 45 minutes of exercise in the water beforehand.  I thought I was at about 70%. But then i felt so tired before swimming, I was shocked i did not feel exhausted swimming.

There are 3 lanes for swimming: fast, medium and slow. I always like to go to the medium lane so i don't have to kill myself to keep u with the 20 year old guys who swim really fast.

But there are some people in swim in the medium lane who are very slow. And normally they drive me insane (which is why i usually end up in the fast lane).

The thing that bugs me more than them being slow is that they have no perception that they are slowing others down.  If I was the slowest I would go to the back of the line, not try to go in front of people.

I saw a production of SEA MARKS many years ago.....here in Indy.  Most unusual.

The ICY RAIN has begun here - with some coming in tonight and the majority of it to follow tomorrow afternoon and evening.

They say 1/2 inch of icy rain can drop a power line - and we are expecting 1 inch......and north of us they are predicting 12-18 inches of snow.

Get you candles and flashlights out.  Get your warm blankets out.  Charge up your cell phone and anything else that needs charging to last.

Is there a slow lane for these people?
