Jink...didn't he chase Pixie and Dixie?
Good Morning!
BIG storm moving through right now. The rain just started a few minutes ago, but the skies have been rumbling for a good 20 minutes already. And from the radio reports, it's supposed to be severe but short. I hope it does stay short, and I hope it's not that severe.
I just want to say if any of the recent three vampire musicals had a number half as entertaining as the opening of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, any of them might still be running.
DR Jose, I meant to offer sympathies for the phone bill earlier. I hope it's all resolved to your satisfaction ASAP.

VCR - Food Network's Behind the Bash: Dream Ball, thanks to DR George - thank you, thank you, thank you!
BB7 SPOILER
Now that JAMES IS HOH, I wonder if his true self will emerge? Will he prove to be a BB6 ally or will he strike out on on his own and ally himself with someone else?
The only problem with the Diane-Nakomis nominations, IMO, is that Diane wasn't evicted. She is definitely allied with Jase and is a devious, conniving vixen.
My fear: James will ally with Jase and Diane, Will and Boogie. Putting two BB6ers on the chopping block would seriously damage any BB6er's chance (except James) of making it to the final 6. I'm certain Danielle and George would buy some of that, too.
My hope: James will strike a blow by putting up Will or Boogie and Jase or Danielle. They all sit in the hot tub each night dissing BB6 and plotting to get rid of them when "they" get the power (yet they don't openly reveal any planning), and they represent the biggest danger to BB6 players plus their allies Ericka and Marcellas. George is leaning toward Chilltown, but is inconsequential at the moment. The "hot tub malcontents" need to be thinned out, IMO!
Benji and Heidi are cousins!? I had no idea, I guess that's what I get for not watching the show from the beginning.
Yeah - Old Troupers never die - they just keep asking if there is a part in it for me.... so pathetic!
@ @ @ @ @ BUMP IT WITH A TRUMPET VIBES FOR DR PENNYO @ @ @ @ @
Bruce! I remember the first time I did that scene, I was Electra, and you wuz Directuh! No, Elmore, I am very good as Tessie - little ballerina that I am! - but this is for Mazeppa. And there's nothin' wrong wit' MY bumpah!
Okay - off I go! Hope yer - ummmm.... - nether part is feeling better, Elmo. "Somethin's wrong witcha bumm, pa!"
JMK-Did you take BeeGee with you?
Penny is your car at the cabin?
The theatre two blocks from me is showing PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 2 and MY SUPER X-GIRLFRIEND, I may go see one of them tonight or tomorrow? Anybody want to come along?
I will, if you will pay my ticket to and from NY!
The surgeon was quite happy with my progress this morning!
...with visions of Jewish Thighs dancing in my head!!!
Wasn't there once something called Aroma-rama, which I'd imagine must have been much like Smell-o-vision?
The 1959 film, Behind the Great Wall, used a process called Aroma-Rama to send scents through the air-conditioning system of a theatre.
In homage to Smell-o-Vision, American film director John Waters released an enhanced "Odorama" version of his film, Polyester in 1982. Waters included scratch-and-sniff cards that the audience used while watching the movie.
New York Blackout Worse Than Reported
Estimated 100,000 Queens Residents Without Power
...
Bloomberg said the utility's latest estimate was that most of the problems could be fixed by the end of the weekend.
Con Edison also said Friday that 35,000 customers in Westchester County, the suburbs just north of New York City, also lost power after Tuesday's storm. About 6,000 were still out Friday morning.
Bloomberg demanded that the utility investigate and deliver a report on the cause of the outages in Queens within two weeks.
... this appalling little miniature Chihuahua
Though some people prefer to specify the name of the breed and call their dogs Tea-Cup, Tiny Toy, Pocket Size, Miniature or Standard Chihuahuas there are no discriminations made within the breed according to the American Kennel Club. Chihuahuas weigh usually up to 9 pounds. However, the standard does not allow dogs weighing more than 6 pounds to be shown.
DR Elmore - thanks for your update, I'm glad your health is well. Keep up the humor, sarcasm, and all you do to suplement whatever your surgeon is doing!!!
DR Danise - HOO and RAY!
-Now breathe. :)
Thanks for sharing your wonderful news.
DR Matthew - The tart looks great! And I bet it tasted better than it looked.
She said we would leave at about 4:00 but here it is 5:35 and she still hasn't come back from her last meeting. Sigh.
Hi all,
Just popping in to let you know that all is ok. I went to the doctor yesterday and while I didn't get a total clean bill of health, it's nothing like the "C" word.
I confess I was pretty scared.
I need to try to go back and catch up on the last weeks posts. I hope I didn't miss anything important and that everything is going fine for everyone here. :)
I do my damndest!
The power failure in Queens is truly alarming: 100,000 people without power since Monday. The damned power company Con Edison is finally admitting the problem is bigger than they realized. Manhattan is so lucky.
It sounds like an Enron stunt.
DR elmore - Good to hear your good news too.
*What time were you thinking of heading to the movies tomorrow? I have rehearsal from 11:00-2:00, and that's all that's on my schedule tomorrow..
Reminder that there are new episodes tonight of MONK and PSYCH. ENjoyed PSYCH last week a lot more than the pilot, so I'll be interested to see if it keeps up its momentum.
Is this the start of "Without a Trace"?
der Brucer
Ooo, let's: Yesterday, I finished reading (with my ears) The Whole World Over. Now, I want to go to Greenwich Village to shop at Fenno's book shop and eat Greenie's coconut cake at Walter's new restaurant. What, they're fictional? Oh, darn!
The printer guy fixed the printer today -- and I mentioned that the newly donated copy machine was jammed, and he fixed it at no charge.
Well... On a related note...
While walking to rehearsal this morning, I happened to pass Magnolia Bakery. At first I thought there was already a line of people outside at 11:00am, but it turned out that it was the staff sitting outside on the sidewalk. Their air-conditioning was not working, and so they were closed for business. There was a sign saying they would be opening at Noon, but as I looked at the guys inside trying to position fans in front of the cake and cupcake displays... :-\
We went to Magnolia Bakery on the walking tour--didn't we?
The star of the upcoming "Clerks III" has returned.
Does this mean that you can now join your family on vacation?
???
Yes! Cupcakes and Banana Pudding!
Great news Danise!
I meant to say that it is cool to know about where you guys in NY are talking about.
I'm just sad that I'll have to miss this falls tour. :'(
I have to go to the opry alone? DR MBarnum would faint at the thought of kulcha!
Here's what I've learned today:
It's a whole lot easier to teach people this grantseeking process than it is to do it yourself.
I wonder if they'll attempt to keep up the fake psychic bit throughout the whole series. I think that it could get old very quickly. The guy has very astute observational abilities and I find that much more interesting that him trying to continue the charade.
I know I'm not Danise and certainly not MBarnum, but depending what it is, I could go with you ;)
Hmm.. When DR elmore mentioned "kulcha" to DR MBarnum, I thought he was talking about Indian food.
;)
Keith and I agree. Does the star remind you of Ricky Nelson? Maybe you are too young. ;D
If there's something you'd like to see while you're in town, it's a date!
Here's what's on my list, so far:
The revival of A Chorus Line
Cynthia Nixon's The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie
Cillaliz- have you tried bathing the cats so they smell alike?
I keep forgetting to get tickets to “Drowsy Chaperone”
Michael S-I must tell you about the great waffles in Amsterdam. Ask me later, I have to go now.
So, Priscilla (I'm sounding like a broken record), was it my review of Drowsy Chaperone that made you buy a ticket ;)
Oh, my, I'm just full of witty remarks tonight.
...And speaking of YouTube.com...
Does anyone know what kind of "legal" monitoring the staff at YouTube does, if any? It's just amazing the number of TV clips, movie clips, Broadway show bootlegs, etc., that are posted there. Just curious.

... In other words, I'll be in drag. YIKES!
