Dr Jennifer - Just let it heal. Don't scratch it.  Don't pay attention to it.  The more you look at it, the "slower" it will go away.  If it doesn't hurt, if it doesn't look infected, just let it heal.

*And maybe some Neosporin. ;)

I can't say that it hurts. But i just thought it would have gone away by now.

I know it's totally superficial. But it is bugging the heck out of me. And i sometimes like to wear bracelets. And it's this big ugly red line right down the front of my right wrist.

I was just wondering if there was something i could put on it that might make it heal faster.

DR Jennifer - And as for David Archuleta last night, well... Let's just say he did do wrong by the judges last night. :-\

I did catch him. Wow what a change from the past weeks. Before he seemed confident. LAst night he seemed scared.

I know the stage is bigger. But i wonder if it was that or the fact that everyone has been declaring him the frontrunner.

I was surprised at how much i disliked that performance.

And OMG kristy. I don't really like her. But i really did not like last night.

I am curious if the men or women are more popular. I could see amanda, saleisha or remi going for the girls (or kristy). And i guess for the guys it could be david h (although is suspect he is popular). I can't see the other 2 davids, or michael, or chikezie or the guy with the dreadlocks leaving.

My guess is it has to be a girl leaving.

Interesting article on MSG.  With all my “sensitivities” I have never been bothered by MSG.  Keith tended to get stuffed up at Chinese restaurants which he related to MSG when all the hype about it came out.  I cook with it occasionally (much less since the big to do about it) and it never bothers him at home.

The DELMARVA version of polite address from youngster to adult is Mister/Miss [fill in first name].

I do not like it a bit! (My militray background means I find the use of first names to be a familiarity to granted, on occasion, by the owner.)

The absolutely FUNNIEST moment in any TV sitcom I ever had the pleasure of witnessing came in "Some of My Best Friends."

Bateman had a straight guy in his apartment -- and he was a  REALLY straight (just ask him, he's straight) man (this may have been the straight roomie, but given what follows, I'm not sure).  Mapa's character was there, too.  I don't remember the particulars of how well any of them know one another (except Bateman and Mapa are best friends), but a challenge was thrown down by the straight man, after a discussion about "fitness" and the fact that he was a fanatic about working out.

The scene, set in Bateman's living room, went something like this:

"Hit me!" the straight man said to Mapa as he tensed up his midsection in preparation for a solid punch.

"You don't wanna do this," Bateman's character said.

"Go on! Hit me!  Trust me. I can take anything you throw at me" the straight man asserted.

Mapa sized him up, looked at Bateman, and then gave the straight man a very sharp slap across the face.

The straight man staggered and gave Bateman a "What the f***k!" look.

"What you have to understand is that he learned everything he knows about fighting from watching 'Dynasty'."

I laughed until I cried.  And then I laughed some more.

Now that is funny!! ;D I watched the show and I think I actually remember that moment!

While I cooked and ate lunch, I continued watching SHOW BOAT (1951). This has to be one of the most intensely saturated Technicolor films currently on DVD. Needs a big clean-up and a general overhauling, but those colors certainly are lush. More so than for any other MGM musical currently on DVD.

I next watched ENCHANTED on Blu-ray. Truly wonderful,a delightful, charming, and lovely musical romance.

That scene at the ball when Patrick Dempsey starts singing while dancing, well, it's the essence of romance: a truly inspired moment.

James Marsden was born to play a Prince Charming (Edward in this movie).

Funny that Idina Menzel is in the film and doesn't sing a note. Amy Adams, of course, sings liltingly and embodies the innocence and chipper qualities of the big three Disney princesses (Snow White, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty.)

DR Jane - my DH Richard also commented on Julianna's spike heels when we watched Canterbury's Law the other night.

I'm still waiting for DR Cilla to comment.  I believe my question of female attire, specifically the height of heels on shoes, was missed. ;D

Next, I began watching a feature unique to the Blu-ray release It's called "The D-List" which replays the moment and stops to ask trivia questions about allusions to other Disney classics. If you get the answer right, it takes you off into a featurette about the classic Disney feature that ENCHANTED is being inspired by at that moment.

Best thing about that is that the clips from the Disney classics are all in high definition, and I thought my eyes would pop out looking at SNOW WHITE and CINDERELLA in high def. Wow!

There was a very illuminating story on NPR this morning about

Scrutiny of Bank Transactions

Interesting.  I couldn't help but laugh at the stupidity of the governor, unless he wanted to get caught.

I watched all but one of the other bonus features (I'll get to it when I go back down.) There are bloopers and deleted scenes. There are also three featurettes detailing how the three big set pices of the film were done: "Happy Working Song," the CEntral Park number (Harvey Evans gets interviewed), and the cimactic ball/dragon sequence.

All of these features on on the sDVD versionas well as the Blu-ray.

I ended the day with AS THE WORLD TURNS. Yes, today was the wedding day for Imira and Noah. Really gave me the creeps pledging eternal love while placing the rings on each other's finger knowing it's all a sham (at least for now).

There are any number of treatments that folks say work for reduction/healing of scars.  You've had some good recommendations here, but there are others you should check out.

My first inclination is that you go to a large pharmacy and speak with the pharmacist about various over-the-counter items they may carry and ask him to recommend something.

There are ointments, and there are small applications you put over the scar (some folks believe that putting a medicated sheet on top of a scar not only heals it but reduces the size of anything that remains).

Follow this link to a Google search I did.  Check out some of links therein to see what options are out there.  There are products made specifically for this purpose, including Mederma and Avocet.
