Oh, and I see I am the first DR to post in 2006!
Oh, and another resolution: STOP DIETING!!
If you'd get your butt back to NY, we could share some Artie's cheesecake! If our beloved DR PennyO is going off her diet, why would she want to share?

Hi, DR JRand and DR elmore!
Jack - If you DO act in Indy, we'll come see you!
I also want to explore take an active role in the theatre here in town.
...Oh, and a salad...
So much on which to catch up (how's that for not ending a sentence with a preposition). It will take a few days but I will read and read and read some more.
Bring on the cheesecake! Bring on the fudge! Gimme them cookies!! Another truffle, you swine! Oh, and a salad...
Elmore!! Meat me at Arties!!!
On something that was brought up earlier - Does being thin make someone look young? It's always seemed to me that, at least in the face, the fat fills in the lines. :)
January is Jump Out of Bed Month.
(Somehow, this gives me a mental image of Tom Cruise on Oprah. Scary.)
JRand thanks for the photo.
I have returned! I miss Dublin and Cardiff but I am secure in the knowledge that we had a glorious vacation and I am a richer person for it.
Probaby one of those near West End Avenue buildings - nice moldings, small apartment done cleverly (bigger apartment, more traditional if we were in a bigger proscenium space), some IKEA (for budgetary reasons), but a video projector (one character likes his toys).
PennyO, the town is Lexington, Kentucky...but I can actually throw a wider net as both Louisville and Cincinnati are close by as well.
So, DR RLP - what is happening in this photo? Is this part of Act One or Act Two? :D
No, DR George, Janet Gaynor's A STAR IS BORN was one of the early three strip Technicolor films. BECKY SHARP in 1935 was the first three strip feature film, and this was released in 1937.
Of course, if that is Mother Superior, methinks quite a few HHW denizens will be quoting the Bard and getting themselves to a Nunnery.

Congrats to BK for his much-deserved Krtizerland accolades. Guy needs radio play!

I will be the envy of all who survey me.
elmore I will send more before the month is out.
Hoosiers will point their fingers at you and gape!
Dogs will bark and cats will hiss.
Little children will be very afraid.
Just wrote two pages of the short story - I wanted to write SOMETHING on this first day of 2006, and now I have.
Mad Margaret, Madwoman of Chaillot, anything with Mad in the character description... preferably with a few high notes...
However, while sitting in the pit during the matinee, I noticed that my legs and arms felt a bit "firmer" - yes, my hands wander during book scenes, so...

Give him some soup, DR JANE....it even warms up snowmen!
Nursie, you are too good!
Cillaliz the fudge made it into the frig without your tasting it? ::)
Now I'm in the mood for my fudge and I don't have any made.
I just received a very sad phone call. My cousin passed away today.

Sorry to hear it, Jane. The Vixter, Vixdad and I all had the time between Christmas & New year's off from our respective jobs and school... very unusual for us to be able to spend so much time together without being "on vaction" at a relative's home... we took the time to spend the time together... we rarely left the house just played board games, did some organizing and emptying of closets and drawers donating the excess to younger neighbors or the GoodWill as appropriate and just spent time talking to one another something we rarely get a chance to do with these crazy schedules we have... I envy the Pogues their new found time to relax in financial security and actually live their lives instead of spending them working and commuting!
vixmom, glad to have you back, and STAY back!
Then I watched the new series IN JUSTICE. I found it very entertaining. I liked the cast, the case was interesting, and the pieces of the puzzle were assembled well enough to hold my interest even though it was near-impossible to guess the identity of the killer. I'll continue watching this in its regular time slot on Fridays. It will be the only show I watch on Fridays (apart from sampling THE BOOK OF DANIEL which premieres this week).
I plan on watching this tonight, too.
I will tell you about the power of haineshisway.com. I received a sweet e-mail from someone named Emy. Some time ago, when we had a topic of the day regarding teachers that made a difference, Dan-the-Man had posted about his English teacher. Well, that teacher turned out to be Emy's grandmother, and in searching her on the Internet he was led here. Of course, Dan-the-Man doesn't know about it yet as he's been errant and truant since 12/28 - I've PMd him the e-mail and also given his e-mail address to Emy.
Dan(the man) I got your message and havn't had an opportunity to use the DVD player yet as people here have been monopolizing it with various Chrustmas presents... Muppet Show first season, Wind in the Willows BBC TV series, Arrested Development Season 2, etc etc etc
But thank you again for your kindness I will check it out ASAP

Jose, don't forget that the scale can be deceiving. When you work out you are losing body fat and gaining muscle and muscle weighs more then the body fat did. So the improvement from the workouts will be in the way you look and feel.
Now, stop feeling yourself. ::)
