I ran my errands, including a stop at Costco to get some grapeseed oil and to see the book for sale. That was a thrill. The book, not the oil. Well, the oil is, too. Or will be when I make some crab and avocado cakes tonight.

DR DANISE - I hope the fix/repair for your car window is fast and cheap. -And speaking from experience, if the glass did not break and it just dropped in the door, it should be. It's when it sticks and gets stuck that the repair tends to be more involved.

Danise, do you have electric windows on Bonnie?  I have electric windows and when my window dropped the nice repair shop charged me $345.00.

Saturday morning greetings!  I'm supposed to be at Sharonville Convention Center at a Stampaway XX, but I had 2 nosebleeds last night (#%&@ meds!).  Even though I did manage to sleep from 4-9:30, I'm not sure how smart it would be to take off alone to drive 20 miles and spend several hours navigating a crowded exhibit hall.

I'm glad you are staying home instead of driving so far on your own.

Too late, DR Jane - I was already on my way to Cincinnati by the time you posted this.  I'd read on Facebook that Stampaway is less crowded in the afternoon than first thing in the morning, so I waited until things calmed down for me and decided to try it.  Got along fine - bought a few things and talked to a lot of nice vendors.

Did I mention that the first lady I met in my first class on Thursday was from Medford, Oregon?  She works in a stamping or scrapbooking store.

LOL I figured by your post you decided to stay home.  I'm relieved all went well. 

You didn't mention the Medford lady.  Did you make sure she wasn't related to DR MBarnum?   I doubt I would know the store she works at.

She wrote another post saying that she was going to give it a try.

Yup.  It was hotter in town.  It was 98 here when we came home this afternoon.  Craig said when he got into his car to go out it was 118 in the sun.

It was supposed to get up to 89 today, but it apparently snuck up to 96 instead.

My former friend Betzy, who re-did my apartment while I was in the hospital / nursing home, must have pitched the missing plastic connecter piece I need to vent my air conditioner.  Poor Nicky is really suffereing.  I am sure they have them at Home Depot, but I can't drive.
