The least-watched Oscarcast was the one in which "Chicago" was named Best Picture!!!      :P

Is there a soundtrack available for "Chicago"?

Not if she's a regular here, she's not.

Or even if she's irregular here.

Back from a few errands and must now get ready for this little rehearsal, which I should have said no to.  I'll have to go directly from there to Anaheim because I WILL be on the freeway by four sharp.  I'll be at Panera first and shall post from there.

S. Woody and der Brucer, I have to do exactly what you describe - go from the TV room to the kitchen (where my computer is) to post.  I like it - good workout.

I did have a long conversation with our Cason last night - we'll see what happens from here.  Miss Karen never responded to what I thought was a very nice e-mail.

Oh, yes, I am reticent.

I have to bitch-slap myself sometimes just to get over it.

Possibly these guests are actually doppelgangers of the Users.

Or stalkers.

We're all gonna chip in and buy you a pair of wheelies.

Then you can star in "The Little Mermaid" in your spare time.

It's 1 p.m.

My boss has three men coming in today to interview for two positions.

I hope she's successful.

Why am I suddenly thinking of Tristan und Isolde?   ;D

Simply gorgeous here, too. No jacket needed today going to lunch. Just a perfect spring day, and it isn't spring yet.

Why am I suddenly thinking of Tristan und Isolde?   ;D

Tristan gave his soul to Isolde in song
   I blush
Oh, dear, but the song was six hours long
   I blush
What they did was wrong without a doubt
If it took so long to sing about
But the thought can make my lily cheek to flush
   I blush
Oh, dear, how they yodeled of love and death
   I blush
They died not from love but from lack of breath
   I blush
That it was a pleasant way to die it is useless to pretend
I blush, but oh dear, what a lovely end!

I listened to the audio commentary to DAN IN REAL LIFE when I got in from lunch. Very chatty writer-director who's very enthusiastic about his movie and shows it. Lively track that I enjoyed a bit more than the actual film. If only there had been more originality to it. It's warm and sweet but completely predictable.

Because you picture DR swingplow with long flowing tresses and a coloratura voice?

When I finished with the commentary, I opened a box of just arrived HD-DVDs which I bought on 59% off sale at DDD. One of them was THE STING, so I had to watch that this afternoon.

THE STING has always looked kind of rough on video. Grainy in some parts and a little washed out in others. The HD-DVD can't do much with the softer, grainier scenes, but 80% of it is by far the best it's ever looked on home video.

I started watching the "making of" documentary (even though I had watched it before with the last STING DVD edition that Universal released), and got about halfway through it. Glad they got some interviews with folks like Ray Walston before they passed away.

That's far better that the "bland and mundane but completely predictable" I've been ducking lately.

ENCHANTED did not arrive today, so this evening I'll be watching NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN. It's 122 minutes, so I should be finished with it before THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICALES begins.

I think the Wagner opera would be better if Isolde were a coloratura soprano rather than a hog caller.
