AOL: The day after our free month trial on AOL back in the late '90s, I was banned from AOL for life. Something my teenage son did. He moved out and got his own account; I could not.

Lovely snow photos. I should take a photo of our sunshine.

My offensive comment was about certain posts that seemed to take delight in the fact that no matter what I said that it was somehow going to be MY fault.  Cilla, yours wasn't one of them.

I woke up to the sound of rain, looked out the window, and by gum and by golly and buy bonds, I'll be hornswoggled if it isn't raining.

Guess the long jog is out today, unless I find a sweatshirt with a hood and don't mind getting soaking wet.

I agree with DR Druxy.  DVD is it for me.  All technology must stop until after I'm dead.  I'm tired of constantly upgrading...When I moved, I had a garage with a turntable that still played 78 records, old VCRs, radios, computers.  Enough is enough.  When DVDs go, Blu-ray (which I ain't getting into) will go too...then everything will be downloaded off a computer.

Give me BETA and 45's anyday!   ;D :-\

I still have 8 tracks and a portable 8 track player!

TCB - Oh, and if you do decide to venture in later, be careful!!

Thanks, Ann, I am more concerned about falling and breaking my hip, than I am about driving.  Of course, I am not even sure I can get out of my parking space.

Sounds like you should stay home :)

DR Ginny, did I ever tell you that my office is on the skywalk just across the street from the main library here?   So all the denizens of the library walk by and sometimes stop in to ask questions, I think of you and your now former life of information waitressing whenever they do

I've some shopping to do.  Seems the crowd at the Christmas table grew a little, so I need to get some more onions for creaming.

And some cream.   ::)

And stuff for dinner tonight.

DR Laura, I was once banned from AOL because I used CoastDa's real name of Josh Marquis when he was being an idiot on one of the boards during the OJ Trial (the first one).   I just used a different credit card and was back on in an hour.

I started on AOL in about 1992, it was before the World Wide Web.   I also had to connect via long distance so it got to be quite expensive.  I quit a couple times - that was like pulling teeth, had to make phone calls all sorts of crap.  I went back a couple times, I can't remember why, and haven't been back in years.

The thought went through my mind that a free account may be worth it, but do I really need another email address?

There are so many better alternatives for free e-mail addresses, the best of which is gmail.  I ONLY kept the AOL addresses because I was worried about losing e-mails.  I'm about to switch the Kritzerland address to gmail at some point soon, and I already have a haineshisway gmail account, and I'm also opened two other gmails with my other AOL names.

Thank you all for the vibes. I'm actually feeling a bit better although I keep sneezing and my nose still runs like mad. Jo's made a huge pot of potato soup that smells fantastic and I do look forward to lunch.

Randy's home from work since there was little to do and it's too damned cold, and he's caught up in MANHUNT, the book about the search for John Wilkes Booth. His next book is a history of the Andersonville prison.

Jo's waiting for my niece Corby, Jayden's mother, to bring Riley over for her to watch while Corby takes Jayden, our own Tiny Tim, to Dayton for his doctor's appointment; as a premie, his health has been precarious since his birth, and his lymph nodes are currrently swollen. My biggest concern is that whatever I am currently suffering from does not get passed on to him since we played all day Saturday.

DR Arnold Brockman, congratulations onCraig's engagement!

How are things at the Nursie Lassner Wedding Chapel today? Did her DIL-to-be arrive safely? I may have missed that part of the saga.

Cillaliz, they told me very sternly that if I tried to get an account with another card, they would cancel it because the phone number would be the same.
