In other news, I have been reminded that today is what the DP and I have officially named our anniversary.  We had our first date seven years ago today. We really haven't been apart since.  Lots has happened in seven years, maybe I'll write a book.

My favorite books of 2010 (I read them all in 2010 but only the latter actually came out this year) is THE HUNGER GAMES series (THE HUNGER GAMES, CATCHING FIRE, and MOCKINGJAY).

The kids and Betsy LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these.  In fact, when we were watching MODERN FAMILY last night, Zach noticed that the younger girl was reading Mockingjay in one of the eps.

I just typed "The End" on the first pass of my screenplay.  Now, I'll sit on it for a week, then go back and see what I wrote.

Congrats DR Druxy!

Been up for a while.  For being on vacation, it's too early.  Listening to many different versions of "When a Child is Born" at the moment.  They are all wonderful - but the Michael Ball/Claire Moore version for the late 80's is the best.

That's the only version that I know.  I assumed that it was written for that "Save the Child" recording...which I love. :D

Actors Equity has at last issued a statement about SPIDERMAN.

Craig Brockman just posted this on Facebook.

What a busy morning.  I got caught up on weeks worth of tracking expenses and income (oh, the joys of being self-employed), then settled down for a quick and dirty set of brass quartet arrangements for this Sunday's service.  In other news, a blu-ray.com reader has intimated that I'm a Nazi sympathizer.  Yes, you read that right.  Hilarity has ensued.

Happiest of anniversaries to DR Matthew and his DP Eric, with whom I've exchanged some email regarding culinary products from his company.  Most of said products have made their way back to CA as part of a Christmas present for my friend Becky.  And one of them will be in my DH Richard's Christmas stocking!

let's hear more about the cookies

Well, they're not on MY diet...

And I just realized they're not on DR Ben's diet, either, because the predominant ingredient is 2 cups of chopped pecans.  Definitely NOT low residue!

Yep!  That's the one.  Never ever get tired of it!  I'm pretty sure it wasn't written for that CD, however, that arrangement rocks my world everytime

Probably because you always drive at night with your high beam lights on.

From Bruce:
Quote
Jane, I had no idea was ill - I saw him quite often at Jerry's - the last time probably three weeks to a month ago, although maybe it was a little longer than that, but not much.  He came up to me and we had a nice chat - didn't seem ill at all, actually.

It must have been such a sad shock for you to learn he has passed away.  On the upside you had some nice visits without knowing.

The weather in Chicago is good for flying as is the weather in Salt Lake City, yet Bryan & Kate's Delta flight has been canceled.  The connecting flight in Utah is still flying.  It seems Delta doesn't have a plane.  Bryan & Kate have been rescheduled for tomorrow on an earlier flight that leaves them with a three hour delay in Utah so we still have to pick them up at 11:00PM.

I am not a happy camper.  In the good old days they would have been put on a competing airline since it is the airlines fault.

I'm with you, DR Laura! Julie Taymor can talk about facing fear, etc., but she's not the one with her butt on a wire falling 30 feet.
