I've addressed all packages, postage is being affixed and CDs will ship out as soon as they arrive.  It took quite a bit of time, and then I had a meal at the Studio City Cafe.  I had, for the first time, one of their chili dishes - it was way too spicy for me, but very tasty.  Mr. Wiring Man is wiring.  I've gotten rid of some equipment that I never use so the wires are less now, which is good.

George, get a Black and Decker rechargeable weed-eater.  The twine comes out automatically, you don't even need to "whack" it on the ground.  Plus it's environmentally friendly.  I love B&D yard maintenance items.

Wiring is still going on - I will be very happy tomorrow when all packages have been addressed and postaged, and all wiring is done - and having the day all to myself.

Back from singing at a black tie gala event.  I performed "I Was Here" from The Glorious Ones, and also was part of a male quartet that sang "Standing on the Corner" from DR elmore3003's beloved The Most Happy Fella.

A good time was had by all.    :)

I fit into my tux, and I remembered all of my lyrics.  What else could one wish for?    ;D

Once we landed at MSP, we had to make our way from Concourse F to Concourse A - the end of Concourse A. And after sitting down for about five minutes, it was time to board our next and last(!) flight of the day.

Thankfully, I'm still feeling sleepy and will most likely take a shower when I get back to my parents' house, and then get a good night's sleep. I hope. I wish. I better! ;)

DR George - Either 1) Mow more often. Or 2) Hire someone else to do it for you.  ;)

I will probably mow my front lawn tomorrow morning unless it rains. It certainly needs it. Thanks for the reminder, DR George.

Some of us who are busy and on fixed incomes can't do either. But, then, I see you were kidding (kind of).

Well, I watched THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY on Blu-ray this evening. Parts of the movie are a scream and parts are dull. Much of it is in the Farrelly Brothers' patented bad taste. But I did laugh.

I used to claim that I hated rhubarb, all from a pathetic sampling of strawberry rhubarb pie, but I was wrong! Skip Kennon makes a rhubarb pie that is ambrosial, that goes with Haagen Daz Vanilla ice cream like candy corn goes with Halloween, like DR MBarnum hopes to go with Bollywood studs, like our DR JMK goes with Percy Faith, like our BK goes with Leslie Parrish. The dinner, by the way, was wonderful, but to continue the Albert Herring analogy from the after-dinner discussion, "Oh, the taste of that rhubarb pie!"

I just got home to find in my email a photo taken today of Miss Bolin, Miss Jane Klain, and me after the screening.

I then finished the bonus features which I had begun early this afternoon. I worked on this from about 4:45-8:30.

Then I watched some more of SOUTH PACIFIC on Blu-ray (through chapter 17). It really is a gorgeous transfer, and the DTS-HD MA audio track is simply breathtaking.

Then I watched the season finale of CSI: NY. Now, I do read spoiler news about shows from time to time, and I had read that one of the regular characters was going to be killed in the season ending episode. I guessed without knowing which one, but it wasn't too hard to figure out which one was expendable. And of course there was a knuckle-headed cliffhanger.

The case for this episode (a kidnapping) was just OK.

Then, I shut everything down and came upstairs to write the review. Writing up the bonus features takes more time than writing up the film itself. This just shouldn't be.

Do people regularly watch all the bonus stuff on DVDs and Blu-rays, or do most folks skip them? And for those who have watched or listened to the bonuses, which ones have stood out from the pack? This might be a good topic of the day one of these days.

It's a mile and a quarter from Concourse F to Concourse A - I have walked it many times...you do realize you probably walked right past the infamous men's room where tapping your toes can get you arrested
