I went to the store and bought a warm delight....doesn't that sound decadent?? Well it's a microwave brownie mix. A hot fudgy brownie in less than a minute. All you add is water.   They are actually good, and the portion size is small, so I can have a wonderful taste of warm chocolate with vanilla ice cream melting on the top without having to eat a whole batch of brownies.....mmmmm,  I bought an extra mix just in case there is another birthday tomorrow..

I read that Maynard Ferguson died.  When I was in high school I got his autoraph....he was wearing his pajamas at the time

Now, I'm puzzled by the use of "decaden" on this board!
To me, as in French, "decadent" has always ment:


A   noun
   1    decadent
       a person who has fallen into a decadent state (morally or artistically)

B   adjective
      decadent, effete
       marked by excessive self-indulgence and moral decay; "a decadent life of excessive money and no sense of responsibility"; "a group of effete self-professed intellectuals"

When has the meaning changed AND what does it really mean nowadays in the US of A!

I'm intrigued!

Oh, that's all right! When I worked in the States people would read my nametag and say: FRANKOIS?! (I "swear"!)

I guess you get more "io" in English than "oi"; in French we have lots of "oi" spellings!
