I don't know what in tarnation is going on, but my airport is not recognizing my network and when I unplug the Ethernet cable from the airport and go directly into the computer, that isn't working either.  I'm on via linksys right now.  Nothing I do is working, which, of course, makes me very nervous about getting the notes up later.  I may write them very early just in case.  Of course, this happens right after Apple Care support is closed.

TPunk, GOOD LUCK with your diet & new medication.

Did the cats snuggle all night & keep you warm?

I don't know if I would call Pierre running back and forth across my body snuggling, but I did manage to stay warm.

I shut down the computer, unplugged the cable modem and the Airport, waited, plugged them back in, restarted the computer, and now it's working fine.  Apple Care will be getting a call tomorrow morning, that's all I can tell you.

Well, I will be off directing my choir tonight (and making a lot of money, according to MSN), and then we leave tomorrow, so I will be E&T until next week probably.  I leave you with this week's
"you've probably never heard of it, but you should watch it anyway" film recommendation:

DR. BRONNER'S MAGIC SOAPBOX

And, call me irresponsible, but TOD:  The Oscar, Percy Faith

Next I watched last night's CSI: NY. DR MBarnum, Matt Battaglia was one of the suspects playing a doctor. Looked good (even though through make-up his face was scratched by having a broom being dragged across it repeatedly.)

There were two cases and interesting but not riveting ones.

And Frederick Lane (also Lehne) was guest star on "Criminal Minds" and was terrific as a mafia witness protection dad whose daughter gets taken.  He truly convinced me that he was a cold, methodical killer as well as a loving father.  I enjoy all his appearances on TV..."Ghost Whisperer", "Lost", etc.

My Onions Are Carmelizing - that's the title of my next novel.

It has been such a long time since I was near a beach where I could have my onions caramelize....!

It's been a long, excruciatingly mind-numbing day.

I'm ready for food and a bit of the telly and bed.

If I get up earlier in the a.m. and get to work earlier, I MIGHT be able to catch up before anyone gets in.  I HATE-HATE-HATE unresolved issues at the end of the day,  but today I had to just drop  stuff and leave.

Does Apple Care really close that early?  -If anything, call your local Apple Store, and they should be able to forward you some open help line.

Does anyone know if a recording exists of the "Mack and Mabel" production with David Soul?

I've been listening to the OBC of Rags today, due to Seth Rudetsky's column over at Playbill this week.  I really like this score!

I will be here early tomorrow morning and then will be skedaddling to South Dakota.  We're trying not to check any luggage, so I don't know if I'll have ye olde laptop with me.  In any event, I shall return late Saturday night.

And speaking of Sweeney, someone has posted the entire 1980 BBC "making of" documentary over at YouTube, in 10 installments.

The first part is HERE.

There's probably not a "legitimate" recording, if you know what I'm sayin'. ;)

I wish I had this, too.  I love the score.

Every time I have an unplanned nap I feel like I've been hit by a pan when I wake up.  Of course pan is nap spelled backwards, so there you are.
