I have been working on this crazy film trying to figure out the music and it's taken six hours of my day.  Another twenty minutes will do it, but man is this hard.

Since I decided I could either get bent totally out of shape over this late check or do something constructibe, I took a cold bath - even with the A/C, I wpould swear it's 90 degrees in here - and I will work on a chart I'm writing for my own amusement.

The North Carolina School of the Arts finally completed its web series of films about the reconstruction OKLAHOMA! I've got the three from June to watch yet. They're quite good.

Just as I was about to call and book an appointment with my previous surgeon, when I got an e-mail from lifetime friend telling me that I needed to make sure I saw a neurosurgeon and not an orthopedic surgeon,  Naturally, the miracle doctor is a neurosurgeon, and my previous surgeon is an orthopedic surgeon.  Swell!

I know DR Cillaliz posted the original e-Harmony Cat Girl video, but has this musical version been posted here yet?

My friend is not a doctor (nor has he ever played one on TV), however he does know a great deal about medicine.  He is the chief embalmer for the State of Washington.

Yeah.  I am waiting for some saltwater taffy.

If they sang about it in BOOK OF MORMONS, I wonder if they would call it Sal Twatter Tah Fee?

I saw on the weather network that it said humidex 45C and that it was 47% humidity. Is that high? (never saw the percentages before).

My library just called and they have 2 books for me that I have been dying to read. One i actually got from my sister's library yesterday (had no idea they would get it so fast since it just came out on the 12th). But most shocking is a sequel that only comes out next tuesday. I asked the lady on the phone 3 times if she was sure she had the right back. She even told me the author. Yeah!

And oddly enough the library has not lost any of my reservations since i started photocopying my slips. :)

Did something that Mark Bittman suggested in a column recently: Grilled a slab of cabbage. Just brushed with some olive oil and a sprinkling of salt and left it on the grill for a while. It's really good. Brings out the sweetness in the cabbage and it smells much better than boiled cabbage. I may do thinner cuts next time and put a slice on a burger or shred it to put on sausage or hot dogs.

Intriguing.  I'm glad he let you know which kind of doctor you need.  While I hope this is not the case with your miracle doctor, neurosurgeons are not know for their bedside manner.

You might call Monday morning with a friendly reminder & request for any cancellation slots.

Did you get to work today?

You turned 50 and everything went to pot, Cillaliz.

Ain't it the truth.  I started thinking it maybe vitamin D again, so I took 1000mg this morning and as the day went on I felt better, so I took another 1000mg tonight and I'm amazed at how good it feels.
