Well, you've read the notes, the notes were not quite the notes, and now it is time for you to post until the not quite cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: ALBEIT!
-
First post after BK.
-
Well, that was an unplanned nap. I guess I really need to sleep.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Two full days of training.
-
Good morning!
-
Well it seems the rains are gone

The. Basement is reasonably dry

Tonight is our churches annual outing at the local minor League baseball park
-
Go Ducks!!
-
Good morning, all!
-
Have a great day everyone
-
DR vixmom, you are so fortunate ihn your current employment, and I am so happy for you!
-
No word on work and I'm getting very frightened about the situation. I'd stayt in bed and avoid the issue but I have to watch the Mueller hearings today.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Vixmom's turnaround in a work situation has to be the best I've seen in a long time.
-
Now if only her basement would get with the program...
-
Work vibes for DR Elmore.
-
I'm back on PIPPIN this morning, and through the day. I sit in the pit again tonight to observe and to run over setup procedures for the weekend.
-
So I shan't be around here much, if at all, but...
BK: I'll be watching my email so I'll see that link when it gets here.
-
Go Ducks!!
Especially duck confit!
-
Saw two almost accidents on the way to this seminar. One was an exceptionally long car that jackknifed in front of me.
-
The breakfast is all carbs —danishes and pineapple. So, I guess I‘m starving until lunch. Also, no tea or decaf coffee. Plus, the water tastes metallic.
Gee, it’s going to be fun.
-
And the section of John Waters’ book I listened to on the way here was all complaining. So, I am ready.
:)
-
Good morning.
-
We had some rain during the night.
-
Woo hoo!
-
DR JOHN G has been trained.
-
I am enjoying the adventure of Naked Space/The Creature....

PICNIC read thru tonight - no Hal until tomorrow.

DR JRand68, how did you find this potential Hal?

Do you ever carry little bags of nuts or something in case you need balanced food?

Exciting 😊
-
Please pass the danish and the pineapple.
And I'll have some more coffee, please.
Thanks.
-
DR vixmom, you are so fortunate ihn your current employment, and I am so happy for you!
I really am and I thank you for your good wishes.
-
I'm up, I'm up - almost eight hours of sleep, and I shall now be on my way to drop off a DVD and hard drive.
-
The. Basement is reasonably dry
Hoo and Ray!!
-

Yikes!! :o
-
Back from doing what needed doing, and picking up some packages. I had two tuna sandwiches for the meal o' the day.
-
Really hot out. Happily, I let the air run while I was out, so it was nice and chilly when I got back, so I turned it off. Now, it's hot again.

As soon as the hearings were over, I fed the cats and walked to the bank. On my return, my front door key to the building wouldn't work so I buzzed my neighbor to ring me in. That didn't work, so she came down, and the door wouldn't open from the inside. I was looking for a brick or large rock to throw through the glass when a neighbor in 1D arrived. She had her cell phone so she called the landlord to let them know we were locked out. We waited nearly thirty minutes when a neighbor inside the building, trying to get outside, grabbed the door handle and pulled hard. The door opened, and I jammed some tissue into the lock so it will not lock again. 45 minutes out of my life I will never get back. Thank God it's a nice day.
-
I'm a little tired right now. I think I'll watch some Highway Patrol, then continue some work I was doing.

Thank goodness for the nice day. I hope the lock is fixed before you leave again.

Ditto and Ditto!

I thought the motor car might need some water, so I located what I thought was that, opened it and put some in, only to be told by Grant that's where the oil goes. Oops. Hopefully I haven't done damage. It made a squeak noise when I started it up, but I've started it several times since and it's fine. I'll take it to a place tomorrow to have new oil put in, just in case.
-
:o
-
How hard was Grant laughing ;)
-
Training was long and dull, largely because I had some a similar day of exercises last year with another team. This year, the training is two days, not one.
-
So far our team is winning 7 to 3
-
I've started watching the movie Us and I'm liking it, but I'm not in the mood for a horror film. So, I guess I picked wrong for the night.
-
So far our team is winning 7 to 3
That sounds like a fun evening.
-
Rutger Hauer has died. I just saw him in Hobo with a Gun.
-
Did everyone go with Vixmom to the ballgame?
-
Or with JRand to the reading?
-
I need to get on with my reading.
-
But first ...
-
Three!
-
See you later.
-

Boring. Did the powers that be realize this was a repeat of last year?

A fun game :)

The powers that be were not part of this training. She's going to take it later. I think she will find it repetitive but will like that we have all gone through it. (Thankfully, work is somewhat slower than usual. I only had two fires to put out today, when we were supposed to be off our cellphones. Ha!)
-
;D
-

Oh, no. :(
-
Did everyone go with Vixmom to the ballgame?
I'm at work and have been watching some of Mueller's testimony, and then Chris Hayes and Rachel Maddow on MSNBC.
-
Now, I'm off to my sister's. She wants me to put up an awning over the front of the chicken coop. That shouldn't take too long, or be difficult, at all.
Be back later.
-
Went to Half Price Books today and found a clearance copy of Romantic Comedy the DVD, a day after listening to the soundtrack. I've never seen the movie. I figure it was only $2.
-
I also found a $2 CD of Carlos Surinach works recorded by the Louisville Orchestra under Jorge Mester. He was their conductor when I was growing up. So, it's nice to have some new-to-me music that they had commissioned way back in the day.
-
Good night, all.
-
Page three? Really?
-
Finished with my viewing.
-
With my viewing finished.
-
I gotta tell you.
-
Did everyone go with Vixmom to the ballgame?
I'm at work and have been watching some of Mueller's testimony, and then Chris Hayes and Rachel Maddow on MSNBC.
Did anyone there try the "And one for Mueller" drinking game every time he revealed something new?
The first glass is still half full.
-
One of the CNN reporters said "The book was better than the movie."
-
Have I mentioned that I'm finished with my viewing.
-
The Faye Dunaway situation is troubling.
Alec Baldwin had punched a hole in.a wall backstage years ago, but after a while, his career was allowed to rev up again.
https://nypost.com/2010/08/20/baldwins-star-re-born/
Maybe the same will happen for Faye Dunaway.
-
I assume the answer is that box office and ratings can conquer anything.
-
Let me explain for those who might not understand, and I don't care WHICH side of the fence you're on: If the exact same Mueller thing had happened today, but the president was a democrat, what do you suppose the Republican folks would have been doing and saying in that hearing and after. I do believe they'd be screaming to the high heavens, "IMPEACH" "LOCK HIM UP" and be all over Fox News about what a lying crook the democratic president was. Again, I don't care what side you're on, but that is EXACTLY what would have happened, and this idiotic "you can't indict a sitting president" rule would be overturned so fast it would make your head spin. That's how it would go. What I find most fascinating, is that the Democratic congress is not saying lock him up or impeach nor trying to overthrow that rule. I'm not sure I understand that at all, frankly.
-
Faye Dunaway is crazy. Who would hire her, knowing her history? My favorite part, though, is they fire her, she's asked for comment, but she's magically traveling in Europe. Uh huh.
-
Why are we on page three?
-
Can someone explain it to me?
-
In terms that I can understand?
-
Did you know, for example, that terms spelled backwards is smert?
-
Well the game was exciting and our team managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, losing 9-8
-
But it finished with a glorious fireworks show, and the park is only 15 minutes from home
-
If you don't count the 15 minutes it takes to get out of the parking lot
-

It is very sad. I hope she is someplace getting help.

Cool, and it was an exciting game.
-
I did something unusual just now - took a mile and a half walk. The way I jog these days, it's the same thing :)
-
Page four? Really?
-
And just barely?
-
Why I oughta...
-
It's cuckoo.
-
Nutty.
-
I did something unusual just now - took a mile and a half walk. The way I jog these days, it's the same thing :)
Walking is good for you.
-
I felt that I needed to start getting some kind of exercise and since I jog at a snail's pace, power walking is just as good.
-
Maybe even better as it isn't as stressful on the body.
-
Taking 2 walks a day is even better.
-
Now, I'm off to my sister's. She wants me to put up an awning over the front of the chicken coop. That shouldn't take too long, or be difficult, at all.
Be back later.
Well, I didn't put up the awning tonight. ::)
-
We opened the box and it's more complicated than I thought.
-
So, I'll go over on Sunday and put it together then.
-
My sister also wanted me to put together a little desk, but it didn't come with instructions!
-
She looked through the parts and the empty box, but it couldn't be found.
-
Fortunately, she went to the website where she bought it and found the instructions there.
-
She download and printed it, and then decided that she was too tired to help put that together, so I just came home.
-
Now, I'm watching TV.
-
Page four? Really?
-
Well, we're not changing to topic with 109 posts, that much I can tell you.
-
Chris Wallace is going to be on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert after the commercial break.
-
I'm also going to watch The Late Late Show with James Corden, right after Stephen Colbert.
-
Sutton Foster will be on TLLSwJC.
-
On a completely different topic, I think it's time for me to get my hairs cut.
-
I, too, really need a haircut.
-
It's been quite a while since I got a haircut.
-
And where exactly is TCB?
-
And where exactly is TCB?
Hopefully, he's okay.
-
PAGE FIVE DANCE!!
-
My avatar picture was taken last summer.
<---------
-
I haven't had it cut since then. ::)
-
It's quite long...almost down to my shoulders.
-
But it's been getting a little annoying lately.
-
And I don't have a reason to keep it long.
-
I'm not in a show.
-
Maybe someone should try to contact TCB - not like him at all.
-
And jan hasn't been here much either.
-
We'll, I guess I'll change the topic now.
-
Even though I don't want to.
-
Just because.
-
I find it unseemly.
-
Very well.
-
I think we've run our course on page five.
-
Don't you?
-
Air conditioning is on.
-
And now it's freezing even though the temperature shows as 77.
-
Maybe someone should try to contact TCB - not like him at all.
I have his phone number. I can call him tomorrow....or maybe text him.
