I went to the TKTS booth yesterday to see if I could get tickets for Gypsy but there were none available. I will have to travel to City Center and just plunk down $25 and bring my binoculars I guess. I am looking forward to it, even from up there. I've seen many an Encores final dress from those seats so I know what I'm getting.

at the entrance/exit to the Newport/Pavonia PATH train. During the week before 11pm it's just one stop away from Manhattan. Granted you're at Christopher and Hudson Streets but you're still in Manhattan. Also, you only get up to 33rd Street. At that point you either have to walk to midtown or transfer (paying a new fare) to the NYC subway. Also, if you're out after 11pm and on the weekends, the train routes through Hoboken but it's not too difficult to manuver.

Good morning, all! I slept poorly last night: dreams about wrking on performances of some sort of Sondheim show and CANDIDE. There was also a dream about the Macbeths, but it's all too vague now.
Today, I've got my barber at 10, a meeting with Ron Raines at 1 about an orchestration, and then Georege Dvorsky is videotaping a birthday greeting to Ms Kim Criswell from me. Ms Kim is currently somewhere in Europe (La Scala, p'raps) playing the Old Lady in CANDIDE, with my friend Bill Burden in the title role.
After that, it's back here to finish Mr Spirtas' last chart so that I can ship it off tomorrow,

I also had a disturbing dream last night that seems to be lingering with me. In it, I was back in school and in dread because I had a huge project for a class that was due the next day and I had not even begun to work on it. And I knew that because I wasn't going to turn it in on time that I would be failing the course. I kept picturing my grades with a great big fat F obscuring all the A's. I had a sense of hopelessness and depression that's stayed with me upon awakening.
Strange how the brain works. Why the hell would my mind need to process in that way after having such a wonderful day yesterday? Pah-too! on such dreams! Pah-too!, I say!

Good Lord, I get to fly through this??? These are the most intense thunderstorms that I can remember since I moved here nearly six years ago! Wow!
Well, with the weather being what it is, I think it best if I head out earlier than I'd planned to avoid traffic issues. I'm only about 5 minutes from LaGuardia, but still...better safe than sorry. In any case, I need to finish getting ready and head out.

My dad just called and said that American Airlines just notified him (??) that my flight has been cancelled and I've been rescheduled to fly out at 4:00 this afternoon, connecting through Chicago, getting me into Louisville 5 hours later than scheduled.
Somehow I knew that was going to happen...

Remember the mill on Mill Avenue, Cillaliz? Developers want to tear it down, but it is a historic building."Someone" set a fire in it a few years ago. So it is boarded up and fenced off now. It is on very desirable property, since they built the lake and all the high rises. You wouldn't recognize the place now.

Do they do that set up only once and film ALL the entrances for the movie, or do they do they same set up on different days for different actors?

Which "on location" film most made you wish to visit that place. (and did you ever do so?)
After seeing THE PRISONER TV series in Jr. High, I was obsessed with finding the place it was filmed. They never listed the location until the last episode, and since this was pre-VCR, I scrambled to write down the long Welsh name: Portmeirion, Penrhydeudraeth, Wales.
It wasn't until I was in college and discovered Michelin guides that I was able to find it. And that's where I went when I graduated college.
I also went there with my DH once when I had a film at the Latin American film festival in London and we took a special side trip to go there. We also spent some time in the Cottswolds and Oxford, where I showed him some of my favorite Lewis Carroll haunts.
Portmeirion is where I want my ashes scattered. If I go first, at least my DH will have a nice holiday!

I have a friend who tried to drive his Mazda RX-7 through a flooded area (read "creek" or "river") once. He was surprised when it didn't make it. Made a real mess of his car.

Thanks for the tip, DR Ben. That hotel would be comparable in price to the one on 46th St. where I've stayed since 2004. I'm making myself nuts about this and am still very interested in finding an apartment, Sept. 29-Oct. 7.

My parents are in town from Florida today, so I will be meeting up with them later. We plan to tour the Metropolitan Museum of Art. They have a special exhibit right now - "Impressionist and Early Modern Paintings: The Clark Brothers Collection." Seems these two brothers were rival collectors, and always tried to top the other by adding a new masterpiece to their private rival collections. We'll probably also go through the new Greek and Roman Galleries. Then find a bite to eat somewhere. Should be fun.

The Strip, in its heyday, was loaded with exciting nightspots like Ciro's and Dino's and, like most things in LA, has lost its lustre and charm.

elmore was there, along with Michael Cassara who was overseeing the EPAs, but is also our show's casting director. He knows exactly what I'm looking for, so I'm sure we'll get some callbacks for my sessions. But, I'm sure I won't hear anything from him until he's out from under the EPAs.

Can someone help resize the Edisaurus photograph?
I either come to NY on the 22nd of August or the 25th (the first three days are music-only rehearsals and I don't really have to be there, although I probably want to be). So, let's say August 22 to the early morning of October 1st. I hope someone has something soon.

That happened to me once flying to Montreal from Miami. I was supposed to leave late Friday and then go back Sunday afternoon. I could have gone the next morning, but I would have missed most of the day. So I cancelled and got a refund.

No, that wasn't an option as I am flying on his AAdvantage Miles (read: free).
I called American Airlines and asked if there were any later flights tonight that I could book, and she said, "Well, there's a flight out of Newark (New Jersey) at 1:30." That was at 11:00. I laughed in her face. Well, in her ear. As if I could get to New Jersey, check in, get through security and get on the plane in an hour and a half.

I've wanted to go for a long while, and now I have the chance. After that, I'll either go to a movie or...if the $25 seats are available...see GYPSY.

I'd keep your eye on the weather forecasts for tomorrow morning, and if there is a chance that the flight could get cancelled or postponed again, I'd go ahead and book "solidly" on another flight later in the day. -Or if you don't feel like flying out that early, just go ahead and "volunteer" to be bumped to a later flight since there will probably be lots of people trying to get on the same flights tomorrow.

I'm at the studio - as promised, a little history re the Reidl article.
Once upon a time, there was a nice, funky young woman named Kelly. Her biggest claim to fame was being a back up singer for Pinky Tuscadero on Happy Days, when they were trying to spin off Pinky to greater fame (it didn't work). So, as happened then, Pinky and the gals were booked on The Donny and Marie Show, in one of the episodes I was guest-starring on. Kelly and I hit it off, had a lot of laughs, and when we got back to LA we went out for a meal. She lived in a funky little apartment on Crescent Heights. I didn't see her after that one meal.
Flash forward to 2002. Benjamin Kritzer had come out and I was trying to take it to film places. I looked up my friend Jeffrey Kramer, who had been at Fox and was now a production executive at a company called East Of Doheney. I was also looking to place other projects. I had a meeting there and it was nice, and then I had another meeting after Jeffrey had read and loved the book. This time, the head of the company was there. Jeffrey had mentioned her and her husband Lou Gonda. The minute the head of the company walked in I recognized her - the very same Kelly, now Kelly Gonda. We had some fun reminiscing, then she told me that she'd liked the book and they would be talking about it and other projects with me, including a couple of rewrites they needed. After that meeting, Jeffrey even called my agent at William Morris saying that they wanted to do business with me.
Weeks went by. Then my deal for the stage version of Nudie Musical, which had been with some B'way producers fell out (as well as the Meltz and Ernest deal - same lousy producers, who strung me along and then never delivered on their end - the theater and the money and the financing for the film). I immediately took Nudie to Jeffrey and the Gondas, who seemed very excited about it. They agreed on the spot to do a professional reading of it at their house, where they had, so they said, a theater. Weeks went by. Nothing. More weeks went by. Nothing. Could not pin them down, it became ridiculous, and I finally called Jeffrey on it, but he was evasive and I'd just had it, so I wrote him and Kelly a note and asked them if they were going to deliver on their promise or not. Never heard back. Then, as you might imagine, I wrote a stronger note saying I just didn't get it, and that I wanted some word back as to whether it was EVER going to happen. This time I heard back from Kelly, saying that their intention was to do it someday, but that she wouldn't commit to a date and wouldn't even commit period. I wrote them a kiss-off note and that was that.
Jeffrey, I believe, doesn't work there anymore. And the Gondas go on - Mr. Gonda is one of the wealthiest men in the world, and his little wifelet wanted a toy, and he gave her one - her production company. She produced Grey Gardens, and, from what I've heard, is just what Mr. Reidl says she and her husband are - dilettantes, dabblers with money, and basically people who have no clew as to what they're dabbling in. In fact, it's eerily reminscint of someone I was once in business with at a certain record label. She, too, wanted a toy and was given one, even though the toy was my idea and my baby. She, too, is married to a wealthy man. And that's the way the world goes.

Jason you would be a lot less happy if you were sitting at the airport waiting for your flight.
I suggest you check back with the airline periodically during the day & night. I have found when flights are changed do to weather, multiple changes happen & new & better flight options often open up.

Well, I just found out that a manhole exploded into flames right around the corner from me, and that resulted in a building right near me being evacuated for resulting carbon monoxide leaks. Fire trucks all over the place, with street closures and lots of resulting traffic jams. It also knocked out telephone service in the neighborhood, and I am told it won't be restored until tomorrow at the earliest. At least no one was injured.

So there I am, working the self-scan lanes yet again, and this wonderfully sweet but easily befuddled favorite customer of mine sees me, waves, and starts pushing her cart in my direction when her daughter catches up to her and says "No, Mother, he's working the self-scan lanes, he isn't any good any more..."

One of the things I was told repeatedly when der B and I were still planning on our move to Delaware was that I would hatehatehate (see, repeatedly) the humidity during the summer.
It doesn't bother me at all.
I feel it, sure, but it doesn't drag me down or make me feel terribly uncomfortable.
I'm also not bothered by the idea of winter, now that I've been through a few of them. In fact, I rather enjoy having seasons and change.
I just wish we had more fireflies this year. I love those little critters.

-While walking the other night, I happened to see a whole bunch of fireflies in the park area in back of the New York Historical Society and the Natural History Museum. Always a beautiful sight. Oh, and I've also seen them in my "backyard" too lately. :)

Do you have air conditioning? It makes a world of difference. I know from having spent 13 years without it, including going through one pregnancy. Those summers of cleaning & slaving over a hot stove were not fun. I enjoyed the few years we belonged to a swim club.

There were some reports about some people already being disappointed about finding out what the outcome of the book was in advance. However, I do have ask: If you saw a story/post/report saying that it included the plot points of the new Harry Potter book, then why did you read it if you didn't want to know? ???

Jason, regarding the Bodies exhibit. I don't think you're missing anything. I went a while ago when it was still being promoted as having an end date. It's now an open end exhibition. I guess anything that pays rent to that building at South Street Seaport (which when it opened lo these many years ago was a shopping mall with many different eateries). I was underwhelmed and also a bit bothered by the fact that I handed over $30 for a rather gruesome exhibition of skinned bodies. I posted about it months ago because there are other exhibits around the country of the same thing. As I just said, I find it somewhat gruesome. I didn't find it educational. It's also a very big (read time consuming) exhibit and I was glad to get out when it was over. I mentioned in my earlier post that the most interesting thing about it was reading many of the comments in the books which repeated a theme of STOP STEALING DEAD ASIAN BODIES. All the figures in the exhibit are Asian and despite repeated assurances that they were obtained legally there are many people who believe that the exhibitors paid to get dead bodies and then stripped away the skin, treated them and put them up for exhibit. Save your $30 for another balcony view of Patti and a piece of Monkey Cake.

I began my afternoon watching a MOONLIGHTING episode. In this one, a mysterious veiled lady asks David and Maddie to track down a man who had thrown acid in her face many years ago.
A very weak mystery as the step-up required some unusual costumes which kind of gave the game away.
Dennis Christopher was the primary guest star.

Then I watched and enjoyed another fun episode of MY LIFE ON THE D-LIST. I loved Kathy with Graham Norton and would have loved to see more of her British stage show. She looked like she really caught fire that night and they were getting her act completely.

Then, I watched another MOONLIGHTING episode. In this one, Maddie and David fly to Buenos Aires to track down the accountant who had stolen Maddie's millions and opened his own casino. Again, no mystery at all, and I got very angry at their stupidity and wastefulness.

Okay first let me say that I do not work for the New Jersey Tourist Board. However, if you look at say THE SHERATON SUITES which is at the Ferry Terminal on the Hudson in, I believe Union City. Through Expedia, listing dates of 9/21 thru 9/30 (as an example) which is nine nights; the cost is about $2,450.00 approximately for one person. NOT a big savings!
However since these are all suites, they sleep four people for a total of $2990.00 for nine nights. But that is for 4 people which brings the cost of the hotel down to $750.00 per person for a nine night stay.
And the ferry takes you from your hotel to 39th Street in Midtown.

Uck. I cut a movie for a woman one time. She didn'thave a rich husband but she did have a rich daddy. She wrote a movie based on an event in her life...it was awful, but she was able to hire a good crew. She did not enjoy the shooting process...the crew would drink beer after the shoot (how disgusting!) and she didn't get to know any of them---they were beneath her.
Then she found sitting in the edit "torturous". I told her that hsould be the most exciting part---it's like watching your child being born, etc.
My DH summed it up perfectly: "This film is just another charm on her charm bracelet". "Surprisingly", she never made another film.

I believe we will be going into storage since we still have no goddam lease ready to be signed. I'm beginning to wonder if this isn't the end of the project. I hope I'm wrong but I've felt that a move into storage would be the beginning of the end: the Institute can pay storage costs forever.
I'm a bit concerned as well since a lto of the materials going into storage - vocal scores, programs, music, books and other ephemera - are my personal possessions so I may have to spend some time unpacking what belongs to me and schlepping it all home. Damn.

I got a chuckle out of that article, for several reasons. I know Rosa pretty well, and she really is a trooper and a fun old gal. However..... I think this may be a case of "reverse-lying" about age, as far as adding a few years. A very good friend of mine, who was working in New York at the same time that Rosa was in the 1940s, would have been 87 now (if he had lived). They were pretty "contemporary, so even adding some years, I have a feeling that Rosa is around 95 or so.
I also chuckled at her comment of still having "all my own hair and teeth".... Hmmmmmm. ::)

Here is an interesting little moral dilemma: WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
I have been in my current corporate job about a year and a half. Prior to that, I was with another company, a competitor, for 20 years. I was lured away to my current job by a former colleague just two months shy of my 20th anniversary at the former company.
Now there was a gift rewards program in place at the old company, wherein I was entitled to select a gift from a third party vendor catalogue in appreciation of my 20 years of service. Now, a year and half later after leaving the old company, I still get regular "reminder" notices from this vendor that I have not yet selected my gift. The gift choices appear to range in value up to, perhaps, $350.00.
I checked today online at the third party vendor's website, and my former employee number shows as eligible; that is, the order would go through if I placed it.
But technically, I was two months shy of earning it.
But - the former company didn't treat me very well.

I headed into the city after the cable and internet went out (again) to get some lunch (I majorly splurged at Wendy's) and to see Patti in Gypsy this afternoon, and, despite my foul mood, she still managed to make me laugh (and cry a little bit). The energy seemed a tad lower than last week, but it was still a great show. And they just announced that Ms. Nancy Opel (Ms. Mazepah) is going to do the Drowsy Chaperone tour. Fun!
After the show, I headed to Garrett's for some classic mix popcorn and then over to 42nd Street to see "Ratatouille," which kept me mildly amused.
Now I'm home watching "So You Think You Can Dance" and enjoying Pasha. He's cute.

I've been licking my wounds over the lease mess by investigating the "Harry Potter" leak to the media. Here's what the Chicago Tribune has to say:
The publisher of the final installment of the Harry Potter series, Scholastic Inc., Wednesday sued two Chicago-area companies for allegedly shipping the book too soon.
The suit comes as alleged copies of the much anticipated "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" have surfaced on the Internet before its July 21 release date.
New York-based Scholastic alleges the book began showing up in mail boxes on Tuesday because of a "flagrant" breach of contract by Levy Home Entertainment and DeepDiscount.com, a unit of Infinity Resources.
The alleged breach has endangered Scholastic's efforts to "maintain the surprise of the book so that all of the Harry Potter fans around the world may come to its content at the same time," the company said in a suit filed in Cook County Circuit Court.
Melrose Park-based Levy is a major book distributor, while Itasca-based DeepDiscount.com is an upstart retail Web site that sells CDs, DVDs, books and other items. People answering the phone at Levy said the company is investigating, but otherwise wouldn't comment.
The line was similar at DeepDiscount.com. "Right now we are in the midst of a huge internal investigation," said Andy Moscrip, a vice president.
Maryland resident Jon Hopkins told the Baltimore Sun that he ordered the book from DeepDiscount on June 3, and got an e-mail Friday saying it had been shipped. It arrived Tuesday. "I couldn't believe it," the 25-year-old software engineer said.
The number of books shipped too early is small: around one-hundredth of 1 percent of all U.S. copies, Scholastic said in a statement. But the Potter book and its outcome are closely guarded secrets -- so secret that Scholastic asked anyone who already has it to keep mum.

Remember the mill on Mill Avenue, Cillaliz? Developers want to tear it down, but it is a historic building."Someone" set a fire in it a few years ago. So it is boarded up and fenced off now. It is on very desirable property, since they built the lake and all the high rises. You wouldn't recognize the place now.
I went to Phoenix a couple years ago and everywhere I used to hang out was gone...literally. The buildings were no longer there. All my apartments (if you signed a year lease you got so many months free, so I moved several times) and my condo were all there, but very little else that I knew. It was really sad. Is Casa Viejo still there? I had a client who embezzled from them and I sat in the back room there and went over all the records. LOL, Monte was there and insisted I have some of the food his wife had made for him and "the guys" in the back room. It was interesting to say the least

DR Singdaw, most likely someone at your old company was responsible for providing the gift vendor with the names of all qualified people who were entitled to receive a gift. So most likely, you did qualify by the time you left the job and you just didn't realize it, or your name would not have been included on the list of names transmitted to the vendor. You were so close to the full 20 year mark - you probably did qualify or the company probably decided to include your name on the vendor list anyway. I think you should order your gift and enjoy it.

But I agree with the others that it's always best to keep your personal belongings separate from the other things. If these personal items are valuable to you, I think you should take the time now to go through the boxes and separate them out.

DR singdaw - Get your camera. At this point, your old company has already paid for any and all premiums due to their employees. And, if it's like other "gift benefits", they usually don't track the disbursement of such gifts.
Now, if the reminder came from your old company, well, that would be a totally different story, but since it came from the gift company, the gift is yours.

Well - back from the visit to the Metropolitan Museum with my parents. We had a great day. The special exhibit we saw of the Impressionist paintings in the collections of the Clark Brothers was well put together and I recognized many famous paintings and discovered some new ones I had never realized existed. For example, a still life of onions and garlic by Renoir. I had never seen that type of painting by Renoir before. I also saw that they had several pieces that I had seen when visiting the Clark Museum in Williamstown. And it gave me a new appreciation for the influence that the Clark's had on the art collecting world. I had not realized that one of the brothers, for example, was the founding trustee of the Museum of Modern Art.
We also went through a special fashion exhibit they had, and toured the new Greek and Roman galleries. All very impressive.
DR Jason - I'm glad you got to see Gypsy again. Safe travel vibes for tomorrow.
DR George - you are a good brother! Good luck with your sister's redecorating.

DR Julie - One of my fondest memories of my summer up at Williamstown are the two visits I paid to The Sterling and Francis Clark Art Institute. What a wonderful museum. Not too small, not too big. And the holdings are downright awe inspiring. And the grounds around The Clark are also beautiful - walking up the "hill" and then having a view of Mt. Greylock... :)

I began the evening with a MOONLIGHTING episode. This is the one done as a film noir with Cybill as a big band singer and Bruce as the lead cornet man (a FUNNY GIRL reference.) Not much mystery as usual, but certainly a different show. This must have been one of the last things Orson Welles ever did (the introduction to the show explaining to the audience that the screen would go to black and white about ten minutes in). The episode was dedicated to Welles with his dates of birth and death.
Cybill sang "Blue Moon" during her dream segment, but in Bruce's dream segment, it didn't sound like her voice at all on the other song (can't remember now what it was). It sounded more like Dinah Shore. There were no credits at the end of the episode identifying the songs or vocalist(s).

I am SOOOO glad my DH came along today. By the time we were coming home, the dirt road was a MUD road. We slid sideways and even around once in the mud. I had to get out of the car and flap my arms at the cows on the road and tell them to "Mooo-ve out of here!" I was afraid he would hit one, because he certainly couldn't stop.

Next, I started watching LOVE IS THE DEVIL, a biographical film about the life of British painter Francis Bacon who rose to fame in the 1960s and drew his inspiration from a man who robbed him and later became his lover (played by Daniel Craig).
This has been sitting on my shelf for years unwatched, and it was eye-opening, a very arty, moody piece on inspiration, lust, and the dissolution of souls.
The transfer is not great: non-anamorphic, soft, smeared looking in places but with pretty robust Dolby Surround sound.
A phone call interrupted my viewing of the movie.

The phone call was my friend Jeff who urged me to turn to THE NEXT BEST THING (the impressions show on ABC). This was my first time watching it at all, but I was most impressed with the Little Richard, the Tina Turner, and the second Elvis (dressed in the all leather outfit). Many others were very good, but for me, those three stood out.

I suppose I shouldn;t complain about th ewet basement it was "only" about 50 gallons and stayed to the edges and we did have about a gazillion inches of rain today all in a hour's time.
The commute this morning was "lovely" ::) I live only 7 miles from work and it took me nearly 40 minutes to get there because of all the flooded roadways....
my poor brother was stuck on the parkway between exits for 3 hours because of road closures, fortunaltey for him his direct supervisor was in the car directly in front of him. so his excuse for extreme lateness was readily accepted

Had an interesting day. I asked Nadia to interpret for me at a jail about 30 miles from here. Since I had to pay someone I thought it may as well be her. Anyway, we had a great time talking and talking. She is great and I am so glad I decided to hire her. She is very ambitious in a good way and wants to better her life, so she'll probably move on at some point, but that will be a good thing for her.

Tonight was the big RiverCade parade. It went right past my office (it's a second story window). I had work to do and planned to be at the office. I found out Paul and some of our friends were going to be throwing mardi gras beads off one of the Mardi Gras floats, so when they came by, I opened the window and they all tried to throw me some beads! LOL, about 5 of them hit the window but one set actually got to me. The girl on the sidewalk below me loved it, she got all the misses

Thank you all for the positive thoughts on the lease situation. I have too much free time on my hands because of it, and I just had a major embarassing moment with MySpace.com. I hope things will resolve peacefully without too much egg on my face, and I'm pondering what I need to do next, if anything, or to wait and see how things stand tomorrow. Oy!

oy! I just wrote a long post and it said I wasn't logged in.... It was a really good post but I don't feel like typing it again so I'll just say the evening ended with watching real fireworks during the beginning of a thunderstorm while sitting in my car and eating great food with Paul. Then driving home in a deluge of rain...it was a very interesting day indeed

Actually humidity doesn;t bother me all that much ... then again I am a born and bred Long Islander when you grow up surrounded by water humidity is necessary to your well being
when I went to Arizona I kept getting nosebleeds from the dry air
(although I must admit I did find 115 degrees in Sedona much more pleasant that 95 degrees on Long Island)

No thank goodness.... this time the water came from outside... seeping right through my concrete walls, but the "living quarters" are all dry
it really was quite hard r,ainfall, it reminded me of one of those Florida downpours... if you got hit by the rain it hurt... and it came down so hard and so fast that the storm gutters couldn't cope (plus the grates were soon blocked by leaves and branches and the tons of fast food bags etcs that our lovely drivers toss out of their windows when they are done eating) so the roads were all flooded and the ground was saturated

I suppose I will never sit still long enough to check in here on a regular basis...life is too hectic for me to regularly be at my computer! But I do miss you all, and I LOVE reading posts when I can get here.
This week has been borderline insanity, as I work at Borders Books, Music, and Cafe, and the big Harry Potter release is this Friday night! We're expecting upwards to 900 people to be in our store Friday night, and naturally, they're making me run the check-in table. I do love Harry Potter to death, and I'm a huge fan of the books AND the movies...but I seriously cannot wait until this is over. If one more person harrasses me about not being able to order a copy (THREE DAYS BEFORE THE RELEASE...SERIOUSLY?! YOU'RE AN IDIOT.), I'm going to snap! And because of my work schedule (2pm-3am Friday, 10am-4pm Saturday), I'm not even going to be able to read the book until Saturday night! AGH.

In other news, I've been dating a coworker of mine for the past few weeks, he's really wonderful, graduated from the same University I attend a year ago with a degree in Geology, so he's really smart and great to talk to. Sort of a bummer to start dating someone right before I'm going back to school, but it's still a great way to spend my summer!

That is the sort of thing I learned from watching LEAVE IT TO BEAVER.
If he was only two months short of 20 years.... 2 months... seems to me the company probably rounded up his time spent and called it 20 years. This isn't like insurance companies where you can pay your premiums every month for 20 years, miss one payment and lose all your coverage!
But there's an easy way to handle this, if you think you'll be too nervous to enjoy your camera once you get it, and thus spoil your enjoyment of it.
Simply call up these people, explain the situation, and see what they say! If they say no, well then you've lost but you won't find yourself thinking, "Oh, I wish I'd done it...what if I do it..." anymore. But chances are they'll say, oh, no, no problem.

Tonight I was lucky enough to get to see Jersey Boys at the Ahmanson. I really liked it, and was surprised at the audience reaction. Usually my experiance with LA audiences is that they don't react at all, but this audience was really great, EXCEPT when they said you could buy out the oscars- no laughter, no applause! The light bumps were abundant, and the hold for applause on some songs was so long my hands started to hurt. It was fast and well acted though, so I more than enjoyed myself.
