And, of course, my second flight has also been cancelled. I've been bumped to an 8:30 flight tomorrow morning.

I am not pleased.

That stinks.  Vibes for good travels in the morning.

Can someone help resize the Edisaurus photograph?

I either come to NY on the 22nd of August or the 25th (the first three days are music-only rehearsals and I don't really have to be there, although I probably want to be).  So, let's say August 22 to the early morning of October 1st.  I hope someone has something soon.

Very sorry to hear that, DR Jason.   :(

To compensate, I think you must treat yourself to an extra shot of GYPSY.

After all, it's matinee day!

But then, to go to the theatre on your day off may not be very enticing...

Ben posted the Riedl story about the Gondas.  I probably have written about them in the notes, but perhaps not by name.  I will tell the story of the Gondas and how they do things when I get to the studio.

I'll be anxious to read it. I find this kind of "producing" simply fascinating (in a car wreck kind of way).

Weird, it didn't put me into wide screen!

I don't know how to reduce it, so I will just post a link to it...

Jason - When they change flights to another day, do they give you the option of getting a refund instead? (Not that you'd want that, but wondering if they give you the choice)

That happened to me once flying to Montreal from Miami. I was supposed to leave late Friday and then go back Sunday afternoon. I could have gone the next morning, but I would have missed most of the day. So I cancelled and got a refund.

Actually, DR elmore3003, it's from The People vs. Mona.

I have to get a ticket for that.  I know Jim Wand.

Funny you should say that...

My dad just called and said that American Airlines just notified him (??) that my flight has been cancelled and I've been rescheduled to fly out at 4:00 this afternoon, connecting through Chicago, getting me into Louisville 5 hours later than scheduled.

Somehow I knew that was going to happen...

No, that wasn't an option as I am flying on his AAdvantage Miles (read: free).

I called American Airlines and asked if there were any later flights tonight that I could book, and she said, "Well, there's a flight out of Newark (New Jersey) at 1:30." That was at 11:00. I laughed in her face. Well, in her ear. As if I could get to New Jersey, check in, get through security and get on the plane in an hour and a half.

DR Saginaw: While I am extremely tempted to try to see GYPSY again today, I think I'm going to treat myself to a trip to the South Street Sea Port to the Bodies exhibit. I've wanted to go for a long while, and now I have the chance. After that, I'll either go to a movie or...if the $25 seats are available...see GYPSY.

Or not. Tickets are nearly $30! Fuggedaboutit.

Perhaps I'll go to the Met Museum. I've never been...

Just a little note to those who might be interested:

Deep Discount is having a Buy 2 - Get 1 Free Sale.

It looks like it's all of the Fox Studio Classics, Fox Noirs, and MGM catalog releases.

DR Jason - I'm sorry your flight home got cancelled today.  I'd keep your eye on the weather forecasts for tomorrow morning, and if there is a chance that the flight could get cancelled or postponed again, I'd go ahead and book "solidly" on another flight later in the day.  -Or if you don't feel like flying out that early, just go ahead and "volunteer" to be bumped to a later flight since there will probably be lots of people trying to get on the same flights tomorrow.

In the meantime...  I hope you enjoy your day off at the Metropolitan... Or at the South Street Seaport.. Or back at Gypsy.  -Although, I guess you could work Legally Blonde tonight if you wanted to.  ;)

Like DR ELMORE and DAN (the MAN), I too had strange dreams and didn't sleep well.

JRAND, do you have an explanation for the three of us? Some sort of planetary pattern?

It is rare that I don't have strange dreams & sleep well.  I dread to think what that explains about me.
