Well, you've read the notes, the notes were properly hornswoggled, and now it is time for you to post until the properly hornswoggled cows come home.

Good morning, all! I believe today is Stephen Sondheim's 82nd birthday.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy Birthday, Steve !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last nightI had weird very long dream about several friendships that have fallen in the dust: Ethan Mordden, Tommy Krasker, and Snooky Barton, all in the same dream about a concert and two lost music scores, a vocal score for Messager's opera-comique [i[Passionnement[/i] and an orchestra score for Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake. Oy!

I am waiting to hear from my DEAREST ENEMY team about a fix that didn't make the new full score since that will determine a part of my day.

DR Danise, the new London production of SWEENEY TODD stars Michael Ball! Here's a photo from the production.

Back to not saying much else, the ex of my boyfriend is intent on making his life miserable until the review for the latest child custody battle is over.

I'm done with her blaming me for whatever her problem is.  I'll just not be around when he has his son.

Too bad, oh well.

 ;D

Maybe i'll get my housework and yardwork done.  Yea that's the attitude I need.

It's weird that some DRs are having heavy winter. And we are having summer weather. But i think today is going to be the last day of summer weather (80s). Tomorrow is supposed to be a high of 60F. And then it is supposed to be 50ish or less. It's so crazy to have such warm weather in March. But i have to say i also find it odd that the temps are yoyo-ing.

It is also very weird to have such hot temps. But the grass is all gross and brown. I love seeing nice green grass.

TOD: I'm dreaming right now of butternut squash-stuffed ravioli in a brown butter sauce. And squid ink-black noodles with a medley of white seafood, such as squid, in a saffron-seafood stock. And rigatoni with a hearty tomato sauce and plenty of spicy sausage. And, as always, linguine with white clam sauce and an extra helping of clams in the shell.

Thursday morning greetings!  As predicted, Suzy and I got back from Columbus by midnight (just barely), but I was unable to get to sleep until about 4am.  Probably from drinking a latte in the Starbucks cafe while waiting for her at Barnes & Noble.  She kept apologizing for dragging me along, but it was worth it to see her so excited to meet someone whose blog she's been following since the beginning:

I'm sorry, but I read that as "play" not "player" though I think a one-person version of "Cats" is workable for, say, Toni Collette and the multiple personalities she could bring to the role. Toni IS Grizabella, Toni IS Gus, Toni IS Rum Tug Tugger, all in one show.

LOL!   I loved it when Jeff asked her about some strategy and all she said she was worried about was "catching appendicitis".   Like it was some transmissable disease!!!

I think it was "too soon" for what happened to happen.

I'm guessing it was a last-minute decision based on what actually happened during the episode.

Some of you may have seen this link but it's worth listening to just for the use of "hysterectomy" in a song lyric

Industrial Shows (http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01dhn6r/There_Is_Business_Like_Show_Business/)

It's a half-hour BBC radio documentary about industrial shows. It's interesting on it's own but there are also snippets of songs played and one of them (at about the 22:00 mark on the clock) references a hysterectomy.

It's only available to listen through Monday March 26 at about 5:30 (EST)

DISCUSSION of LAST NIGHT'S SURVIVOR

LOL!   I loved it when Jeff asked her about some strategy and all she said she was worried about was "catching appendicitis".   Like it was some transmissable disease!!!

I think it was "too soon" for what happened to happen.

I'm guessing it was a last-minute decision based on what actually happened during the episode.

I agree that what happened last night was ridiculous. Do they really change the game based on if one team is losing? They had only had like 3 challenges. Granted that orange team was terrible. The blue team was awesome. I am curious to see if the girls get back together. Or if kim and chelsea stick with the guys they bonded with.  Also the guy who left ... OMG he probably would have done well. But he was so mean and rude. It was lovely of Christina to take care of him after he so rudely told her she could go jump in the fire. I really cannot understand how he got so ugly and in control of things. Remember the first episodes he was saying he was an outsider and crying to the women. Also for him to leave with his idol, which he did not even find. What a mean person!

Thanks, DR John G!  Last night's appearance was part of the book tour for her second cookbook.  I didn't buy it or her first one because I'm trying not to acquire more cookbooks and her recipes, yummy as they look, are anything but heart-healthy.  I did discover today that she also has more of a memoir and I would have bought that and had it autographed had I known last night.  The trip came up kind of spur-of-the-moment and I wasn't adequately prepared.  Oh, well, at least I was able to be Suzy's navigator!

This morning, i took all the heavy blankets off the bed and put them away. Ihope this helps my sleeping.

This afternoon, I took another cooking break, used up the ground pork and beef and made sme really deelish chili con carne. Between that and the spaghetti sauce, i'm set for majot meals for the next month. I'm waiting for thechili to cool to put a lot of it into the freezer.

Tomorrow morning, I will do laundry before I see my doctor at 11:30.  If I can finish by 10, that gives me an hour to put the laundry away and clean myself up.  I can't see how high today's hunidity is, but I'm guessing it's fairly high since I've been sweating ;ike crazy all day. Jennifer, I mentioned a couple of days ago that Betsy is taking Zach to the midnight premiere of THE HUNGER GAMES this very night.  About 80 of his classmates are going.
Yes I remember you mentioning it. I am curious how popular the movie will be here. And if the midnight showings will be packed. I am curious how closely it will follow the books.

Re the HUNGER GAMES movie I will also be very interested to see if the actors are any good. The one I am most worried about is Peeta. Physically he is shortish. And he does not look how I picture the character. The actor does seem sweet. I will give him the benefit of the doubt till i see him act. I really hope the movie does not disappoint. It is one of my favorite books.

Had a nice early lunch, picked up no packages, and spent the last two hours writing the commentary, which is done and out of the way.  So, I'll write my memorial remarks tomorrow.  Now I can relax for about two and a half hours before being on my way to see Spring Awakening.

Be back later!

Poor Sherlock. I went through the same thing with Joshie. Well, except Joshie hid under the bed. And ran away from me for several days afterwards.

At least he wants to be close to us.  He is whimpering a little less now that he has had half of his dinner (only half to make sure he holds it down).   He will get some Rimadyl, for pain, with the second half.

Hi all.  Hate to post and run but I've been awake since 2 this morning.  Just had bad feeling that something was wrong and when I went to work I found out that I am being moved to the HR dept.  Not what I wanted to hear right now with maybe having to miss time with the house and all.  I am NOT a happy camper.  I tried to explain that to the powers that be and they were going to discuss it but I somehow don't think things will turn out the way I want.

They will just have put up with my having to take time off if I need to.

Sorry.  End of rant.

Mega pain free vibes for DD Sherlock.  Toby and Sheena send their regards.  They got a new toy--a bump ball with a squeakier that Toby carries around making noise everywhere he goes.

Had one phone call after the other tonight so I'm up longer than I should be with not having slept so I am signing off now.

Have a good evening all!  :)

Spring sure as hell hasn't sprung here--we're once again under about 8 inches of snow.  Incredible.

Do you mean March is not normally a month of snow and cold?

It usually is here, but this month has been 80s sunshine and leaves and flowers coming up 6 weeks early

Where is everybody?  On Facebook, of course.  My time with Facebook will be coming to an end as soon as the forced Timeline thing happens.  All I'll do then is announce stuff.  I hate that design, I can't figure out anything about it, and why they keep doing this crap is beyond comprehension.

Truthfully i don't spend much time on my actual page or on anybody else's actual page. So maybe i won't notice it as much. I mostly just read my newfeed, which still looks the same.

This weekend, a local synagogue is having a Blintz-a-palooza event.  My sister asked if I wanted to go and I think that I might.  She was wondering if lox were going to be served.  I mentioned that Alan Menken wrote a song called "Pink Fish," sung by Andy Taylor (husband of BK's close and personal friend, Alet Taylor) and we watched the clip.  Everyone loved it! :D
