PSYCH had an excellent episode tonight, less silly than last week which I really enjoyed. Also, there was a lot more of Shawn's notable observations worked into the story which I always like.

So, it looks like I'll finish up disc 4 in the MOONLIGHTING set tomorrow. I set the DVR to capture an episode of BURN NOTICE which DR Elmore has highly recommended. And I'll probably dip my toes into DANGEROUS WHEN WET.

DR JRand, I saw that TCM showed EASY TO WED this afternoon. I was watching FANNY at the time, but I wonder if the print they showed looked any better than the DVD I endured yesterday.

OH!

DR MBarnum - I meant to mention this earlier in the week... Well, maybe I was hesitant to mention this earlier in the week...

While going through my parents' new cable-TV set-up, I checked out their various "Comcast On Demand" channels they have.  Well, lo and behold, there's a Bollywood On Demand channel.  And it even has sub-categories: Classics, Romance, Action, Thriller, etc.  I wuz scared.  ;)

Don't be scared, Jose! LOL!

Well, I've been spending time with the DVR this evening...

As for "So You Think You Can Dance?"...

All I can really say is that it really is a true competition this year.  The level of the dancers and the dancing is really high this season.  There are no easy decisions, and no real losers at this point in the game.  Disappointments, yes.  Obvious choices, no.

The newspaper this morning listed about 10 different Harry Potter parties going on tonight at various bookstores. Since I'm only reading the books about 10 months before the release of the movies, I won't get to this last one for awhile.

I plan to start THE HALF BLOOD PRINCE at CHristmas.

Since I got a little less than six hours of sleep last night, my eyes are really heavy, so I'm heading down to bed.

Good night!

I think I shall now retire to my first Bollywood movie of the weekend (I hope to get several watched over the next two days...but we shall see...even I can only take so much Bollywood).

KEEMAT (1973) a spy action thriller starring Dharmendra, Rekha, Prem Chopra, Agha, and Murad.

Gabe and I drove by Border's today to get our "bracelet" to hold our place in line for tonight's midnight madness.  At 9:00, there was a line of probably 250-300 all around the Border's parking lot; I took one look and said "Forget it."  Unbeknownst to me, the custodian at the church where I work was already in line and he brought an extra bracelet for Gabe--wasn't that sweet?  We still don't know if we're going to go tonight--Gabe has a swim meet at 8 tomorrow morning and we just don't think he should be up that late.  I can get up at 7 and run down to Fred Meyer and get a copy then.  Or just hit Border's later in the day for our reserved copy.

I am an officially official reviewer now at DVDTalk.com, which has some remarkably intelligent and well-informed reviewers (so what are they doing hiring me, you might ask?  Well, don't ask that, it's rude).  I don't get my first "real" screeners until next week, so I put up a short review of Land of the Pharoahs (one of my not-so-guilty pleasures) here:

Der B and I are about to head to the store.

I've two other reasons for going - I need my schedule for next week, and dinnerstuffs for tomorrow's eatings.

Greetings from Louisville!

Food report:

Lunch: Fried fish at my favorite local fish shop. And hush puppies. YUM!

Snack: A banana milkshake (small) from Sonic. YUM!

Dinner: It was fried chicken night at home. Fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, broccoli casserole, buttered rolls (of which I did not, sadly, partake) and green beans. YUM-O!!

My dad and I had a lovely day, running errands and doing some shopping while my mom was at work. He even treated me to some a nice pair of pants and a couple of pairs of shoes. Very exciting stuff!

Then, mom and I went out grocery shopping for the two big parties she has planned over the next couple of evenings. While we were at Costco, she treated me to the DVD set of "Planet Earth," which I almost bought at Chicago O'Hare for $30 more than we ultimately got it here. I'm racking up here!

And I went swimming today for a little while, making sure I swam some laps to get in some actual activity. Good stuff.

DR Jose: Glad you got home safely!!

Oh, and thanks for the virtual flowers and chocolates -- but I see DR FJL got to them before I did... well, at least I'll always have Paris, I mean, the pictures which will always be in the archives if I want to go back and look at them wistfullly ... *sigh*

Where have all the flowers gone.
Gone to FJL, everyone
When will we ever learn
Not to let the flowers AND the chocolates
Get around FJL

Well, Miss Karen, you've done it again.  I waited until midnight on your birthday so that I could share the fudge bars Skip brought home, but once midnight came along, I figured your East Coast birthday was over and that you weren't going to show up.  So if I can't sleep tonight from all that caffeine in the chocolate, I'll know who to blame and it ain't Jose.
