JOSE-

You will just love Todays New York Times DINING section.

All The New Restaurants Opened or Opening in NEW YORK CITY and environs

Arnold - I did love it. I read it online last night via Twitter and NYTimes.com. It's gonna be an interesting "season".

DR Ginny - have you ever attended The May Festival??

Alas, we have not, DR DAW.  Why do you ask?  Should I reserve the guest room for you?

DR Jose, chopped black olives mixed with a little best foods mayo.  My fried would spread a little cream cheese on each slice of bread and add sliced black olives.

I still occasionally make a chopped olive sandwich when I have some challah.

Thanks for the recipe, DR Jane.  I'd probably prefer cream cheese myself, or at least use Duke's instead of Best Foods/Hellman's. ;)

Why do people on facebook who you don't know send friend requests without a note saying who they are or why they are contacting you??

Could be spam or "friend collectors".

DR Jennifer - if you think it's bad on Facebook, wait 'til you try Twitter!  I block 2 or 3 people every day.

Has anyone mentioned the The Museum of Broadcast Communications website?  Some fun stuff there but not a lot available to view on-line yet.

Be sure to watch one of the nastiest games of CONCENTRATION ever played.

The walkway from my front porch to my driveway was badly in need of repair (or more precisely, to be installed correctly).  So they started at 7 this morning with the jackhammer.  I am glad to have the job done but would have preferred they had done the job before I moved in.

The guy who came who started this morning seemed OK.  His crew who joined him, however, must have understudied with Larry, Darryl and their other brother, Darryl.  Either that, or the Darlings are joining them for a hootenanny after this is done.  If Earnest T. starts throwing rocks through my windows, however, I'm complaining to the management!

So far the jackhammer broke through a pipe to the front flower bed.  I guess it was a good thing I was home to turn the water off.

Of all the days to quit smoking.. to quit drinking... to quit heroin!!!! Oy!

Not sure about Uranus, DR JMK....however there are some interesting planetary motions this week...and the potent full moon on Friday!

Mercury is slamming on the brakes as it approaches its Sunday September 6 turnaround and shift into retrograde motion for the following three weeks. If your intellect and intuition are sharp, you can actually see this happening in the voice, tone and atmosphere going on socially, in meetings and while negotiations are taking place. Mercury slowing down often brings with it a rising tide of hesitancy and an unsure footing even before it actually reverses gears. Nonetheless, jubilation and high-fives can

Good morning, good day, how are you this beautiful day?  I am up because two workers were having an existential discussion outside my bedroom window - no noise at all, just a conversation that could have taken place, you know, in front of the house.

It is a very cloudy gray day in Grand Mound, Washington today.  Luckily we're heading back to eternally sunny Portland later.  I can dream, can't I?

Had an e-mail from former dear reader Hisaka, who has forgotten her password (no way to retrieve it now), so she asked me to post the following.  I told her to re-register and get her Japanese butt cheeks back where she belongs.

Is it too late to say "Thank you" to DRs and bk who gave me warm birthday wishes on my birthday?I had a wonderful birthday dinner with friends at a Japanese restaurant in Hollywood. My birthday dessert was an Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich - Warm peanut butter-chocolate chip cookies, dulce de leche ice cream, caramel & chocolate sauces, candied walnuts. I know it's not like a Japanese dessert, rather a typical American one.:) I just wanted to share it with all of you.  And Happy Birthday, DR Ron Pulliam!

Nice to see and hear from Hisaka.

Word to the wise:  The Great Wolf Lodge in Grand Mound (or is it the Grand Wolf Lodge in Great Mound) is very expensive.  I about fainted at the bill shoved under our door.
