And I'm so glad to hear that Michael S doesn't have the C word! After that horrible scare, this week's surgery should be a lot easier to deal with.

And since I ended up staying at the museum for another two hours after the kids went back to school... And since I ended up heading out to Brooklyn with my friend, Eric, for another culinary adventure... And since said culinary adventure ended up involving about a six mile walk... ("Oh, when did that restaurant close?... Oh, they went upscale!... Oh, there's no one in there... Oh, they remind me of "the Sopranos"...)  Well... We did end up well-fed... But I'm tired and sleepy, so...

Thanks all for the vibes.  This is jhvw's twin again.  he's only 26 and has had a bad year not only with all the health problems, but in a lot of other ways too.  Jon is right there for him as he has been all year.   

If all goes well,  Jon will be going to Kansas City the end of the week to check out some colleges where he plans to go back to school after Christmas. He's got a place to stay lined up and will check that out as well.   I'm really hoping it works out, it would be a great move for him.

Well, time for me to get some sleep.  We're not officially open tomorrow, since it's Veteran's day, but Edith scheduled a 9:00 Am appointment before she realized that, so we'll go in and take care of that then she'll be off for the day and I'm going to lock the door, not answer the phone and catch up on a bunch of work I need to do without distraction.  I'm really looking forward to a day at the office alone.

On the brighter side,  it's only 9:46PM and I'm ready to retire to the other room and listen to the radio.  Today is a good day.   Maybe I'll even get 7 hours of sleep, what a luxury.

I ordered 2 German movies yesterday.  One is only available in VHS, so I will have it transferred to disc when I get it.  I seem to not own a VHS player.  Or a TV either.  I just use the IMac to watch dvd's and listen to cd's. 

Less things to dust is my motto.
