Had a long talk with my friend Sydney, who is now working as a consultant to film festivals. We always exchange movie and TV ideas. I met Sydney not long before I left Virginia. Not fair! We're great friends and I wish she was HERE!

I have a pop version of the title song from It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World. I have no idea who sang it, but the lyrics go something like this, (Couldn't grasp all of them)

It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World
When teenage kids look messed-up
They'll tell you they're all dressed-up
That's work (?) they claim in
This Mad Mad Mad Mad World

A girl who makes you drool there
You call hot stuff
They say cool there
It's mean to say in
This Mad Mad Mad Mad World

a boy will buy brand new blue jeans
and if they fill him just right
he'll grow ???????  shrink
They're not right until they're too tight

?????
Or discover whats behind it
??????
What the heck
It's A  Mad Mad Mad Mad World

Lyrics in Spanish
It's A  Mad Mad Mad Mad World

Lyrics in French
It's A  Mad Mad Mad Mad World

Lyrics in German ??
It's A  Mad Mad Mad Mad World

Our traffic is so congested
Mass confusion on wheels
But Detroit is ???
But what they do in Detroit
Is make bigger automobiles

Don't try to understand it
How it happened
Or who planned it
?????
?????
It's A  Mad Mad Mad Mad World

Lyrics in Italian ???
It's A  Mad Mad Mad Mad World

Lyrics in Japanese or Chinese
In this A  Mad Mad Mad Mad World

The only thing you are sure of
IS that nothing is sure
Have a ball
Live it up
?????
??????

Don't try to master mind it
Or discover what's behind it
Just grab your neck
And say what the heck
It's A  Mad Mad Mad Mad World

It's A  Mad Mad Mad Mad World

Now just before I posted the above I tried to see if I could find the lyrics
I think it might be the Shirelles

The buck stopped here.   Not the best photo, but the best I could do without scaring him away...maybe he's only a 5 point

Funny, none of them seemed interested in the deer block.

Good Evening!

It was nice to find out that after not playing piano at all for almost six weeks, I was still able to play earlier tonight. :)

The bad news is that Joshie lost his Iphone last night in the taxi, and he's very unhappy about it. Jonathan gave us a really wonderful acknowledgement at half time. It was also great to see in the crowd afterwards Bill Russell and his partner Bruce Bossard, whom I have not seen in 25 years. They looked great and it was wonderful to see them

DR elmore - Glad to hear that the work that you and Joshie did was so well received - and acknowledged.  -And I'm happy for Jonathan too.  It's nice to know that his "day job" as a desk clerk at Chelsea Studios is truly a day job. :)

*Was Joshie able to use the iPhone's MobileMe "Find My Phone" feature?

SHAMELESS SHILLING AND BEGGING IN THIS POST

If anyone has time to contribute to the all-important "times-viewed," I put the audio of three non-parody numbers from the show I'm working on on YouTube.  So you don't actually have to watch, it's like radio -  just put each one on in the background and leave them on to the end of each one, and it'll count as a view :)   Positive comments are as always appreciated.

DR FJL - I've also been wondering if you've been considering setting up Facebook Fan Page for your parodies and/or a MySpace Music page.

As for the Topic of the Day...

Veal - Osso Buco (braised veal shanks).  Truly one of my favorite dishes. Period.  -Especially the version at Becco.

Lamb - I like lamb chops, but prefer leg of lamb (with lots of garlic and rosemary).  Braised lamb shanks (in red wine) are tasty too.

Pork - Double-cut pork chops; pork roast; pork loin; ribs; BBQ; sausage etc., etc., etc...

In other news...

Earlier tonight I played for a Master Class led by the casting director, Duncan Stewart. Duncan is the lead casting director for the U.S. and international companies of Chicago, as well the upcoming revival of La Cage aux Folles among other projects. Tonight was the first in a series that my friend, Rance Wright, put together: Booster Shot 2010.  There's a good group of actors/students signed up for the classes, and I'm looking forward to the remaining sessions.

The class this Thursday will be an "acting only" session, however...

As I was saying...

The class this Thursday will be an "acting only" session, however...

This Thursday, I will be playing for an event at the Lincoln Triangle (Lincoln Center) Barnes & Noble:

Theatre World 2008-2009

It will be part panel discussion, part book-signing, and part performance.  I will be playing for the "performance". ;)

2009 Theatre World Award Winner, Josh Grisetti, will be performing, as well as another surprise guest or two. :)

Jane and Jennifer that is disturbing.  Can you both send me your addresses again, and we'll give it another shot.

bk - I did receive my sparkling Kritzerland t-shirt, but I did notice that the Priority Mail envelope that it was sent in had "snagged" on some piece of postal equipment.  I think the bulk of the t-shirt caused the "flap" to stick out.  You may want to fold the t-shirt carefully, then place it in a bag - ziploc or plastic bag (grocery store) - before placing it in the envelope.  That should help it stay flat(ter).

Topic of the Day:  the only real pork products that I like are regular bacon, Canadian bacon and schitzel.  My mom makes schnitzel (she's German) and it's very good.  Other than that, I don't care for veal or lamb. :P
