Is that a 16 oz?  Keith does 3 shots in a 16 oz.  Mostly he gets 4 shots in a 20 oz,  It's a real treat when it can be from Peet's.

That sound about right.  I order a "medium".

For our "Torchwood" fans, I found this inventive clip at another sight in which someone created a montage of scenes from last week's show and added music from "Somewhere in Time."

People seem to be leaving out Mr. Burton's horrid Planet Of The Apes remake.  The last Burton film I kind of liked was Ed Wood.

Oh, I didn't realize Tim Burton made that movie. I did actually enjoy PLANET OF THE APES, and I did see and enjoy ED WOOD...so I guess I have seen a few Tim Burton films...as for Richard Burton...hmmm...did he ever work for A.I.P.?

Time for to watch another Bollywood movie...DHOOM (2004). This movie was a huge hit and it stars Abishek Bachchan, John Abraham, and Esha Deol.

Now I can see what all the fuss has been about...however, I am not expecting it to end up as one of my favorites as it is one of those modern day action films that I usually find annoying (howevr the soundtrack is fabulous!)

Had a very enjoyable night of viewing. I began with CLOSE ENCOUNTERS on Blu-ray. Much of it looked spectacular but there certainly were inconsistencies with some of it looking flat.

The Blu-ray allows you to choose which of the three versions you want, and, once chosen, if you prefer, let the disc signal you when a scene comes up that was in another version but not in another. I turned that off; I didn't want anything to disrupt my attention from the feature.

It took me several viewings to get on board CLOSE ENCOUNTERS as a great film. I always thought it was good, but years have yielded up so much more to it than I gave it credit for when I was younger.

And for such a young director, it's really a remarkably complex film on a HUGE scale. I guess his having directed JAWS, at the time the highest grossing film ever, enabled him to get a production as big as this one.

Oh, the Blu-ray had DTS-Master Audio, a lossless variation on DTS with a much higher bitrate than usual. Need I say that several times during the movie, my house was shaking.

And that kitchen scene when the little boy gets abducted. There have been few more tension filled sequences EVER in movies than that one. And the sound adds another entire dimension to it.

Next, I decided to revisit BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN again. I let the PS3 upconvert it this time, and this is the first time I watched it on the new TV. Still, a very touching, emotion-packed film for me. Didn't get finished with it tonight, but I'll finish it tomorrow.

TORCHWOOD had an excellent season finale, one I enjoyed immensely. And, of course, a nice cliffhanger that will make waiting for the second season to start pretty unbearable.

Just when I was ready to give up hope, we have developed a snow sky here, and it has started to snow.
Unfotunately at the current rate that it is falling, it would take all night to get an inch of this stuff.

I hear that.  8)

Yes, TORCHWOOD had another fine episode tonight.  The characters always stay in character - from week to week....

And the cliff hanger is intriguing!

And Captain Jack certainly had a nice bitchy comment for Gwen.

We had a nice $1000 day at the World of Wisdom, which doesn't sound like much, I know.....but that's a lot of incense and candles!!!

Had a very fine time indeed at LITTLE MERMAID.

Side note:  The scuttlebutt from Denver about the scenic design being unappealing seems to have been addressed and completely rectified.

I have no time to watch a motion picture on DVD, hence I shall play on the computer.

DBF and I watched BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN about two months ago. A very well done movie. I greatly enjoyed it.
