I got my King Kong DVD today, too! King Kong/Son of Kong/Mighty Joe Young

And seasons 1 and 2 of GILLIGAN'S ISLAND which were on sale for just $20 each! Not that I needed them...but I do love that show!

Yes, indeed. Thank you in advance JRand. My birthday isn't until March, and a lot of people would not say that was "VERY VERY soon", but not you. You're looking out for me and I definitely cannot wait to see what you got me. It will make up for the lack of  holiday gift from Jane this year.

Also got my John Gabriel, star of HELL'S BLOODY DEVILS, CD in the mail today! 95 cents plus postage! LOL! What a bargain!

But you know, he is one heck of a good singer!

TCM had like 10 Warren William movies on the other day, and I was just too lazy to record them since I have a humongous backlog of movies to watch as it is.

That guy is one great and underrated screen presence.

JRand55, I don't suspect he wrote any of the songs, and I have only listened to bits of the CD so far so I haven't a fave yet. But I am sure I will eventually.

DR JRand - do you know your work schedule for next weekend?  DH, DS, and I will be in Indianapolis to attend the Lord of the Rings exhibit Sunday at the Indiana State Museum.  If I visit your store on my actual birthday, do I get a super-Sagittarius discount?

While in our recent whirlwind tour of northern California for Thanksgiving, TPunk's mom treated us to a nice meal at a fine San Jose restaurant called Emile's, which I recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Also got in Weinerschintzel, a west coast hot dog chain, and Round Table, a solid pizza chain. Skipped In and Out burger for the first time in many moons.

DR GINNY - I will be there from 3 pm to 8 pm on Saturday and from Noon until 6 pm on Sunday.

Saw RENT in San Jose on the night it opened. Got tickets early and all, figuring it could be crowded. Ended up being only us and like 9 other people in the theatre. I forget sometimes that San Jose has a unofficial curfew where everyone is in bed and off the streets by 10pm.
