Well, you've read the notes, the notes were filled with ME things, and now it is time for you to post until the me cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: NOSEGAY!
-
First post after BK.
-
And the word of the day is: NOSEGAY!
No more than the rest of me.

Jeanne, the cream that I bought, and that was highly recommended to me is called SOLACE. I purchased the 1 ounce size, which the container says “contains 100 mg of CBD + 1 mg of THC. I was told that the THC won’t have any mind-altering effects, but merely speeds up the effects of the CBD.
-
I am going to try it on my neck tonight before I go to sleep. I will give you a report tomorrow (if I’m not too stoned to type).
-
I sniffed the jar, and to me it smells like cold cream. I will report on that tomorrow, as well.
-
I guess George is still trapped in yesterday, so I guess I might as well go to bed.
Good night

The only French film I think I have ever seen is La Cage Aux Folles
-
Well it is a work day so...
-
Good morning, all!
-
Today's fresh hell: the Ohio property taxes bill arrived in this morning's email. I'm not sure how to handle it since I don't have the money and certainly don't have any work.
-
I'd go back to bed but that will accomplish nothing.
-
$$ vibes for DR ELMORE.

No more than the rest of me.

Today is a ME day, which is nice.....I am hoping some newspaper ads come in the mail today so that Birdy Barnum will have some new reading material for the bottom of his cage tomorrow. I put the last of them down this morning.
I likes to peck at the cherries and grapes and strawberries pictured on the paper - but will NOT touch them if I give him a real one in his cup.

Vibes it works. I am looking forward to your report tomorrow.

Do you have a neighbor who can leave their extra fruit adds in your paper box?
-
I need to go to Walmart to return my eye drops that were recalled. Once I saw the recall I knew it was for my drops. I shouldn't have continued using them as they didn't feel right. At least no permanent harm was done.
-
It is 64 degrees right now going up to 70. I would prefer 75 or 76 degrees which is my idea of perfect weather.
-
Good afternoon, all.
-
It's 80 degrees here, going to 83. Which is okay, that's good summer weather in my book. But it's going to 88 tomorrow, and come Friday through Sunday, we're into the 90-degree region for the first time this year. And since they're calling it for three days as of now (it'll go into a fourth, mark my words), that's an official heat wave.
-
Had a fine time at the neighbor's impromptu cookout yesterday evening. It was what I needed. Today, I'm into Cabaret because tonight and tomorrow night are the auditions for our mid-Sept.-Oct. run. We shall be praying for a good turnout, and for the baby.
-
While it is cooler here the humility has gone up to 80%, probably because it rained this morning.
-
I'm up, I'm up - seven hours of sleep.
-
Good afternoon, all.
-
Back from a lovely lunch of a Laotian-style chop salad with chicken and plenty of avocado.
-
The humidity is oppressive today.

Tell them that they NEED to buy you out of your part because you have no money. And if they still try to make you pay, tell them that they can sue...and then how much will they be able to get out of you?? :-\
-
Of course, it's always easier (for people like me) to give advice. ::)

This has been a nice day with high temps outside and comfortable temps inside.
Birdy Barnum is happily singing along to the revival version of ONCE UPON A MATTRESS.....
-
No rehearsal so I get to stay at home ALL NIGHT!
-
I posted a story about Picnic auditions and links to sides that I will be using.....and it only took two hours for two special people to request "special times" for auditions because they are going to be gone OR busy at the appointed times.
I have agreed to them.....but they need to be even EXTRA EXTRA good to even get consideration.....if they inconvenience me for what is NOT a good reason which they do NOT have IMO. The dates of the auditions have been posted since April....BTW.

Sounds like fun.

Can I audition from Texas, JRand? And if cast, can i play the part from here, too?

I really liked the 1990s TV version - but felt the first time "Happily Ever After" was a bit too intense, though might have felt differently with a laughing live audience.
But by itself on YouTube without the lighthearted show around it, the song feels like quite a performance piece for Tracey Ullman.

Wait, I have to audition? I just thought you'd give me a leading role.
I'll let you know when to schedule the performances once I work out my other plans

After searching locally for a number of goods I want I finally just ordered them from Amazon. Fortunately today I found the ACE wrist support I wanted at Walmart that no one else had. I have no idea what I did with my old one. Now that I have it I don't really need it anymore for typing on the computer. My biggest problem is using my tablet at night.
-
We had a nice breeze making for a pleasant evening, short after dinner, walk.
-
Page TWO??? Really?
-
Finally back from recording part one of GEE, then a Mexican meal at Mucho Mas.
-
Page THREE? Really?
-
Mexican food sounds good.

Diana did a great job. Very touching at times and funny. If we had unlimited studio time and if she was staying longer, I would have broken this up into shorter days - not everything is perfect because we had to keep moving on, but it's all in the ballpark, the characters are really well delineated and the engineer got teary-eyed at the end of part one (he had no idea what the book was about and certainly has no idea where it's going). Listening to it read aloud, I am just so proud of this book - it achieves everything I wanted it, too, and while perhaps it's not going to be to everyone's liking, it is certainly to MY liking and I believe with all my heart that somewhere down the line this will rank very highly in my output. Mostly the responses to this one have been hugely to my liking, and while I feel a couple of reactions were lukewarm, so many things can color the reading of a book - what kind of day the reader has had, mood, many things - I know that's been the case with me. Anyway, on to part two tomorrow. I must say, it's a little daunting to do 118 pages in four hours and the fact is we didn't - we went over by thirty minutes, but twenty of those were a break where our engineer was doing some editing of the first two sections of part one - after that, we did no editing and just plowed on, but tomorrow we won't edit until we're actually done.
-
Off to watched an episode of JUSTIFIED.
-
Mexican food sounds good.
It does. Today at lunch, I had quasi-Mexican at Taco Del Mar. :)

That's exciting. Can't wait to hear it!
-
And now, I'm off.
Be back later.
-
The recording session sounds great.
-
The new Criterion Collection DVD of The Baker's Wife arrived in the mail today. I hope I have time to watch it this weekend.
-
Tonight, it's back to Oklahoma! This Cinemascope version is just a little too tired. I'll watch the Todd-AO in a few weeks.
-
These are part of the eight-disc Rodgers and Hammerstein pack. Double discs for Oklahoma! and for South Pacific.
-
Just found out that my friend, Hillary, whom I would visit in Sarasota, has been admitted to the hospital with congestive heart failure. She was supposed to close on her new house tomorrow. I understand that's still going to happen, it's just going to take place in the hospital.
She said that they've been able to help her breathe more easily, so something good has happened.
-
Vixmom, have you ever had any closings in a hospital?
-
Listening to the Corigliano Symphony No. 1. It's very modern, and J.B. is raising a ruckus. He squawks every time the violin gets edgy. It's a lot of noise.
-
I need to be going to bed soon. Big, long days of meetings tomorrow and Wednesday. And I'd rather not go.
-
I got involved in a romance novel called Pride, Prejudice and Other Flavors, a Bollywood gender-swap take on Austen that's actually a lot of fun. Who cares if it's not original. She's a gorgeous neurosurgeon specializing in impossible to remove brain tumors. He's a chef with a perfect butt and a way with caramel. I wonder how it's all going to end up.
-
Right.
-
It balances out the audio of William Faulkner's The Hamlet in the car, which started out very funny and now getting really sad. .
-
Good night, all.
-
Vixmom, have you ever had any closings in a hospital?
Never a hospital although I have gone to hospitals to have power of attorney forms signed
-
Did have a closing statement an airport
-
At a Starbucks
-
And on the hood of a car in a parking lot
-
It's 1:10 am so I am certainly not going to get us to page 5 on my lonesome
-
Vixdad's car is still in the shop
-
Oh did I mention that before?
-
We took both vehicles to Florida
-
At night, in a Florida rainstorm his gps led him to drive into a washed out road
-
Do some damage to the bottom of his nice new car
-
It still drove back to NY alright but the bumper had to be tied up and some protective sheeting that belonged on the bottom of the car came home in the trunk
-
Well we got to page 4 I suppose that's some sort of progress
-
I wil be interested to hear Gee as an audiobook
-
I don't have a lot of news
-
We've been very lazy since returning home
-
This coming Saturday we have Apollo 50 year celebration activities planned
-
There is a museum here called The Cradle of Aviation
-
I suppose you know Long Island was very involved with the space program
-
The LEM that carried Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong to the moon was designed and built a few miles from my home
-
there will be all sorts of activities from 9:30 to 5 in the museum including meet and greet opportunities with three astronauts, two if whom are also Long Island natives and current residents
-
Then from 7-11 there is a fancy champagne dinner with dancing and more meet and greet opportunities
-
I arranged to take Vixdad there for his birthday celebration
-
His birthday is the 22nd
-
So we are celebrating a little early
-

The seller was out of the hospital in time for our closing here, however, throughout the buying process we kept having to wait for him to read and sign papers while he was in and out of the hospital.

I don't think so.
-
Page four? Really?
-
I have to say, I'm exhausted. I have to be up by ten at the latest and out of her by ten-forty at the latest to do some banking before the second day of recording - so I'll try to be in bed by one at the latest. I was last night.
-
We took both vehicles to Florida
I didn't realize you had driven separately. Is that because of everything you needed to take with you?
-
At night, in a Florida rainstorm his gps led him to drive into a washed out road
Oh no.
-
Do some damage to the bottom of his nice new car
A shame. I hope it wasn't too bad.
-
Vibes for John's friend Hillary
-

Interesting. Was it exciting at the time?
-
We took both vehicles to Florida
I didnt realize you had driven separately. Is that because of everything you needed to take with you?
Yes we had a lot to bring with us, we also knew we would have a lot of different things going on which would require we be in different places at the same time
-
I arranged to take Vixdad there for his birthday celebration
Enjoy the early birthday celebrations.
-
It worked out well but we had to take 3 days to drive down since we couldn't trade off driving
-
Well its1:40 tomorrow and the alarm goes off in 5 hours and 20 minutes
-
So long
-
Farewell
-
You know how the song goes
-
Ooh page 5
-
Goodnight
-
And have a pleasant tomorrow

A double reason for two cars, still not as much fun on the long drive there and back.
-
Sleep well.
-
And have a pleasant tomorrow
You too 😊
-
Good evening.
-
Stephen Colbert is on fire tonight!!
-
The Solace cream seemed to do some good last night. This afternoon my neck was hurting so much that the main was going up into my ear causing it to ache.
-
I massaged some of the cream into the right side of my neck this afternoon, and within about a half hour, the pain was completely gone.
-
As I mentioned last night, the cream smelled a bit like cold cream. However, growing up in the theater, the smell of cold cream and grease paint were heaven to me. But I didn’t mind the smell last night and it seemed to disappear rather quickly.
-
Well, here I am, all alone.
