By that time, it was past time for me to start with CHUCK, so I'll have to put it off until later this week to watch.

So I concluded my evening viewing with tonight's exciting and suspenseful '24.' Oh, that Jack Bauer sure knows how to do torture the right way! ;D

I took a quick trip to Gelson's and got some white rice, ginger ale, and some flowers to brighten up the home environment.

Looks like I'll be doing MARKED FOR DEATH on Blu-ray tomorrow for my work project. Unlike today's THE EDGE, I've never seen this movie. Maybe it'll be halfway decent like UNDER SIEGE was. Here's hoping....

Now I guess I'll close up shop here and head downstairs to go to bed.

Good night!

It was much cooler here today -- only in the 80s. It was glorious. I spent most of the day in the backyard.

It's 47 degrees here right now with 13 mph winds and rain.  I really don't mind it

Good Evening!

And... I'm back from Carnegie Hall.

I had almost forgotten earlier that my friend, Tom, had an extra ticket tonight to tonight presentation of Mendelssohn's "Paulus" by the Oratorio Society of New York. So, I hopped on the D Train, detrained at 53rd & 7th, and walked up to the Hall.

It was a very good concert. I had forgotten(?) just how substantial "Paulus" is - the first half was about an hour and fifteen minutes, and the second half ran just about an hour.  Good soloists, good chorus, good orchestra, and a nice interpretation by their conductor.  Alas, during the tenor's final solo, the cello obligatto-ist seemed to be having some intonation issues.  But at least he projected. ;)

DR MBarnum - Thanks for your photographic tour of Olympia.  I still can picture the dome of the capitol building there from when we would drive through there on the the way down to Portland.

As for the mountain range in the background, if you were looking toward the west, it could have been the Olympics Mountains; towards the east would have been the Cascades.  Although, it could have been one of THESE PEAKS OR SUMMITS.
