Then I watched tonight's season premiere of THE CLOSER. Good episode, very moving in several places with a nice surprise revelation.

Obviously, Detective Daniels is the cast member who has left the show.

And then I concluded my evening with tonight's RAISING THE BAR. Two cases going on tonight, neither all that interesting though the one with the uncle accused of dealing drugs when it was his nephew actually doing it was OK. (The hockey mom story was rather lame.)

The haircut on the star was VERY flattering and made a GREAT difference in his appearance.

bk and other Los Angelenos (present and past) - You may want to watch the first 15 minutes of "The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien".  Conan and Andy Richter "sail" down the Los Angeles River.  ;)

That "some guy" just got the television exposure that can launch a career.  His name is Tituss Burgess - remember it.

Tituss already has quite a career.  He managed to survive Good Vibrations unscathed, then went right into the original company of Jersey Boys... Then into The Wiz at La Jolla... Then Sebastian in the original cast of The Little Mermaid.  And now, Nicely-Nicely in the current revival of Guys & Dolls.  Four years, four Broadway shows - not a bad track record at all! -With a couple of other theatrical stops along the way.  And he released a solo R&B-inflected album back in 2006.

*On a personal note, when we were both relative "nobodies" ;), I played for him during a cast cabaret.  He sang "Here's That Rainy Day"... God, I wish that was on YouTube.  Although, there are some other clips of him on YouTube (not accompanied by me).

I love "Here's That Rainy Day"

My home is still a mess, what with closet stuff strung out everywhere...but by the end of the week everything should be in it's place, and neatly.

I took a break to watch CHEHRE PE CHEHRA (1981) which is a Bollywood version of DR JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE.....it was very interesting...and if everyone hadn't been speaking in Hindi, you would have thought it was an old Hammer film.

Thank you everyone.

I wish it wasn't so late and I could read today's jokes.

But I must read tomarrow, must now sleep.

Thank you again, everyone.

I'm bummed. I thought that concert with Malcolm Gets was last night at the Triad but i was wrong. When I got home, I sent the conductor a message. He's not responded, and I don't know when this this concert is happening.

That's too bad, Elmore, but what a coinkydink!  I just got Malcolm Gets' solo CD delivered to me, here at work.  I'm going to listen to it right now. :)

Conducted by the evilest queen in show biz!

Do tell! ;)

I am so jealous. You guys get 2 of my favorite show tonight, MY LIFE ON THE D LIST (which hopefully we will get in a month)...

We're only 45 minutes in so far, and I have to say it's already been quite the laugh-filled episode.  Kathy Griffin + Bette Midler = ;D

I'm just now watching the last segment of this.  Talk about hysterical! :D

I am finally home.  Holy moley on rye, I never stopped once today, from dealing with paypal, to grabbing a bite to eat, to rehearsing, to sitting at an LACC banquet for four and a half hours - and then having bumper to bumper traffic for three miles because the ASSES that run this city decided to close off two lanes for work - work which, by the way, wasn't being done.  Bravo, ASSES, and may each and every one of you get what's coming to you.  I'll talk about what was coming to me at the banquet in the notes, which I must now obviously write.
