[glow=Lime Green,2,300]Pain Relieving Vibes For Danise[/glow]
For the past five or six years, I've spent a week during the summer or fall at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY. Omega is a sort of holistic learning center/retreat/spa/spiritual center that's located along a small lake. My favorite way to end a day there is to sit by myself at the lake beach and take in the quiet beauty of the night. It's not a totally isolated area at that time of night--other guests occaisionally come by, young couples do some makin' out, and there's also a camp ground nearby--but it's peaceful enough to be alone with your thoughts for a while. The first week I ever spent up there co-incided with a waxing full moon which was absolutely beautiful to behold. On my last night there, when the moon was at her peak, I got up from my bench on the beach and danced for her. With full abandon and joy. I was not Astaire or Kelly or Travolta or even Jerry Lewis, for that matter. And there may or may not have been other people there, but I didn't care. The moon seemed to like it. And it was just such a rush to let go like that. Not exactly the most foolish thing I've ever done, but one that I look back most fondly on.
