DR elmore3003, have you heard this latest rendition of the Britten? It got an interesting write-up in Gramophone recently.

I just read that Americans consume 15 billion quarts of popcorn per year (which works out to 45 quarts per person).

DR John G.  - not sure where you are in Texas. Have you ever been to the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden?  It sounds wonderful.

I'm in San Antonio. I have not been to the Dallas Aboretum. But I really want to go.

When I was at Chez Panisse in March, I sat next to a woman who worked there. She was a real foodie, and we got to talking. Her husband wasn't as into the food as we were. We even swapped plates and samples, even though it was the beginning of covid.

She yearned after my anchovy plate. I wanted a taste of her salad.

I got a fundraising letter in the mail from The Musical Theater Project.

It was addressed correctly with my name and address, but in the salutation, it starts "Dear Darlene..."

How did they find out my drag name?

Sunday afternoon greetings!  It’s gray and rainy here in SW Ohio today.  We went to Zoom church this morning and now we’re hunkered down watching the Bengals.

DR John G, your visit to Chez Panisse didn’t register with me in March, but it did today because my book group just read Alice Waters’ Coming to my Senses.  We discussed it virtually Thursday evening and two of our members talked about their experiences there.

It turns out that the preview for A CHRISTMAS ZOOM CAROL is next Sunday, November 29.   I misread the email.....even though it wasn't sent to Dear Darlene.

I don't think we have our regular meeting tonight....since most of the participants are now off campus on holiday....such as it is.

Tomorrow I shall look for a dentist - which will be as difficult as finding the money to pay for the work.....I would guess.  Time will tell.

How was the book? I haven't read it. Actually I haven't read any of Alice's books or her daughter's, which I hear is great.

Many people don't know that in Sondheim's first draft of "Epiphany," Todd sang "But the celeraic waits, I'm alive at last, and I'm full of joy!"

Someone must be eating an awful lot,  I don’t think Vixdad  and I have had popcorn in at least 5 years, maybe more

Back from a quick and fun rehearsal - kept blocking very simple because we're shooting it for film, not stage, so I wanted all the set-ups to be simple and easy.  It's short and sweet and I don't want to over rehearse the actors, so we have one more on Tuesday, and then we shoot the following week.
