Seems like bk could have delivered it in person at that lovely Ghengis Cohen dinner and saved himself the postage!

Mmmm..that's making me hungry just thinking about G.C...

These aren't sent out by Bruce, they are from a separate company, otherwise we both would have recieved them earlier lol

now you've gone and made me hungry for the best chinese food ever... sigh....

Why is it that the math problems presented in class are always easy, then the homework is harder.

Things are starting to get weird at work (starting..hello where have I been)

Anyway, I can tell that it isn't going to be pleasant as things wind down.  The lawyer who is left just doesn't get it. He thinks he can just say, "I'm only taking my own cases" and they will send someone from Des Moines to take my remaining cases and the other cases that come up until a new person starts.  Guess again chump. It's  already to the point where I won't finish the cases I have because I'll be gone when that time arrives. So, a situation arose today that he could have easily said "Ok, I'll just take the case now" which is what anyone else would have done. No not him.

The others in the office told me NOT to email our boss. (Oh please, they sent email complaining if my tone of voice wasn't pleasant enough for them) So what did I do....emailed the boss. My clients are what matter. They aren't making arrangements for what will happen when I'm gone and it's getting very irritating.

Wink Martindale's Black Land Farmer is emigrating from Melbourne Oz to Fargo ND.
I knew my collection of 45 rpm recordings from 1961 would eventually be of use.

Did I mention when I told a well placed court person that I wouldn't mind hiring one of the temps the other lawyer didn't like and let go, the court person said "I thought you would be harder to work for, your standards are so much higher than his".  I think my jaw dropped. I didn't realize that's what other people thought.

Today I went to look at the new office again. I look in the window from time to time. I decided to say hello to the internet providers who office next door. They are really nice fun guys who are willing to help me set up a web site etc. I think I'm really going to like having them next door.

Actually talking to those guys made my day. They are funny and will be great to joke around with or have a cup of coffee with when I'm tired of sitting in my office by myself or need a quick break. What I'm learing is there is a lot of empty office space in the Orpheum building. I don't think it's a real priority since the theatre does so well. Anyway, the people who office there are a family of sorts. Everyone knows everyone and everyone I meet says "You know we're a small group here, you'll like it"

I think that sounds fun.  The computer guys had some contacts they want me to meet who they think can help me. Including a bilingual temp service. That may be a great way to have a part time receptionist! Oy. I may need to buy a second computer sooner than I want to

It WAS self-indulgent!  I, too, wished the writer would just move things along.

Frankly, I think I'd have recognized him.  But if I heard the Bach "Chaconne" being played on a Stradivarius by the likes of Joshua Bell, I'd want someone to SHOOT ME if I didn't stop and burst into tears at the sheer beauty of it all.

I, too, think I would have recognized him. Even if I didn't, I do believe I'd know I was listening to one competent musician. And I have stopped people at times and asked what they "really" did, ie the obviously bright grad student who was waiting tables, etc.

Well, it is indoors! And the john doesn't need to dumped out of the window: the Pilgrims would be envious. Calvinists would consider it an unacceptable self-indulgence.

der Brucer

And your point, Der B? DR Laura is supposed to be grateful that she has an indoor john? I suspect she'll be very grateful when the work is over and done with. Is that not enough?
