Did you lose a bet?

No.  Some things just aren't worth betting on.

Hmm... So... "Lost" or "Skating With The Stars"...

Or Dinner?

;)

Turn on to MY NAME IS EARL.  It's quite a hoot tonight.

Oh, no "Lost" tonight, I guess...

Think I'll just turn the TV off for a while.

Or is "Lost" on Wednesdays?  I forget.  Just don't watch prime-time TV regularly.

OK... Now on NBC.

Because he, like me, is sick of moronic reality television, especially moronic reality television with desperate second-rate stars.  Give me the D-list celebrity Kathy Griffin who laughs at herself any day.  Of course, I can't state these are DR TCB's feelings; I'm putting words in his mouth.  The sentiments are all mine.  I looked at the latest reality lineup in the new TV GUIDE and thought, shit.

Well, second rate stars have to make a living too, you know!

And when they drop to third-rate, you can interview them!  :-*

And I'd much rather read about their exploits in your interviews than watch a series of shows proving that the dumbing down of America has become the media's chief function, as proven by the ratio of watchers of AMERICAN YODEL to a public television event like BLEAK HOUSE or LIVE FROM LINCOLN CENTER.  It's one thing to miss a subscription channel likeShowtime or HBO because of financial concerns, but public tv is free.

Making up for all that lost time, huh?  DR JRand55, I'm now reading THE PARTY OF THE CENTURY, about Capote's black and while ball at the Plaza after IN VOLD BLOOD was published.  I think you'd be amused by it.

I remember the reports of the party when he was planning it, and thinking I would never get out of Indiana.....I guess I was right.  8)

Don't you have a think for collagen lips?  I refuse to believe those are real.

I don't have a think or a thing for them. I also have a very hard time believing those are real

After seeing CAPOTE, I'm considering reading IN COLD BLOOD again. It's been a long time since I read it.  My parents let me watch the movie when I was probably too young to watch it. We lived down a long driveway with no neighbors right nearby, I had nightmares for weeks.

Well, my secretary failed to call me to tell me that one of my clients wants to back out of a plea we need to enter in the morning. Oh, she sent an email, but I didn't check the office email until tonight. She knew I had my cell phone, but didn't call. My client's number is unlisted, so I had to go to the office about 7:45 to find his number and call him.

Perusing Amazon and dropping various and sundried things into my wishlist...I love when Amazon gives you recommendations! I always end up finding some nifty things that I would never have found before...anyone ever hear of Mindy Carson? Well, hot dog if she isn't one pleasant sounding singer!

...and into my wish list she goes...

Hello everyone, sorry for being E&T but this has been one hell of a week.

Lots of stressful stuff happening with my cases at my internship right now.  I'm not making the mistake of thinking these things are any reflection on my skills as a therapist, but boy are they stress inducing and a lot of work.  I feel emotionally exhausted.  But while challenging, I am getting a lot of valuable experience that will benefit me once I am in a full time position.
