Well, you've read the notes, the notes and I have gotten away from each other, and now it is time for you to post until the gotten away from each other cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: FESTOON!
-
Good morning to everyone. I hope you have a great day.
-
Good morning, all!
-
What a horrible, endle4ss night! I turned off the lights at 9:15 and slerpt really well until 10:00. After that, I was up every hour, plagued with insomnia and Stella and Thatch, who climbed all over me between 1:00 and 5:30, when the alarm rang.
-
I expect this to be a very lazy day.
-
Tuesday morning greetings! I read by flashlight until about 11 last night and our power came back on at 12:30am.
-
+Power outages should be forbidden by law.
-
I hope DR RON PULLIAM has his dehumidifier delivered today and that the Porch Man shows up.
-
DR GINNY thanks for posting that Tony Opening number - I also enjoyed it much more than what what'sherface did on CBS.
-
Well the show is cast......we have a few lines out on the couple of brothers we still need.....and I wouldn't mind a few more ladies in the ensemble....but the folks we have are good.
I will never understand why the musical director will always want the voice for a part - even if the person is completely wrong for the part physically.
I don't say he can't sing it - what I'm saying is - I don't want the audience to have to look at that all night.....
-
Although they got the name of the place wrong - the Sportsman's Lodge was once a happening place...

Good morning, all.
-
We leave for Casper later today.

Good morning, all.
-
I have liked the few - literally, only two, maybe three - carbonaras I've had. But I have no idea if any of those would be considered great ones.
-
Welcome back to the 21st century, DR Ginny.
-
Weekly test: NEGATIVE.
And that’s about all I can say for myself this morning.
-
Welcome back to the 21st century, DR Ginny.
Thanks, DR ChasSmith! My favorite bakery, my favorite flower shop, and several friends are still without power.
-
I hope DR RON PULLIAM has his dehumidifier delivered today and that the Porch Man shows up.
Thanks, Jack. However, I am almost resigned to the prospect of being notified the package is lost in the UPS morass.
As for the porch, the porch man (Joey) was physically unable to come over the weekend. I don't know what he does when it's super hot like it will be all week. We shall see.

I slept so very well last night. When I work up, I discovered my back was sore. And I blame myself for overdoing my evening exercises.
Getting out of bed is always a struggle because I am a major sleepyhead. But, I managed to roll out of bed without putting any unnecessary strain on my back muscles.
I need to work the kinks out.

The energy company back in San Antonio has been alerting me to the unprecedented demand for energy in the past few days. Nothing I can do about it from here. But I expect to hear of blackouts or rolling blackouts.
-
Everything is packed except the phone.

I cannot recall whether I have mentioned this here or not:
I have an Amazon Dot unit in my bedroom which I use to generae white noise for my sleep time. I began doing this when it became obvious that the yard by my bedroom was mating ground for local geese. They get noisy.
I use "rain sounds" and it works so nicely that I use it all the time, even when geese are not around.
-
I sure hope we don't have blackouts here in SC.
When it's hot, it's HOT.
Mainly, we are being warned about heat index issues and being reminded to stay indoors and cool, although there have been requests that we don't refrigerate our homes (i.e., set thermostats a bit higher than usual).
-
Find a movie theater with power.
-
Today is primary day here in SC.
Among the decisions to be made is who will run for governor.
I don't know squat about anyone other than those already in office, and they are all republicans.
I'll vote a blue streak just because.

It seemed more "Broadway" to me than the MTV thing we saw on CBS.

Tuesday morning greetings! I read by flashlight until about 11 last night and our power came back on at 12:30am.
Did all your lights go on and wake you or were you already awake.
-
In a couple of our houses the security alarm went off when the power came back on.
-
That was not a fun way to wake up during the night.
-
I hope DR RON PULLIAM has his dehumidifier delivered today and that the Porch Man shows up.

The big concern when traveling is knowing how long the power was out and if food in the freezer needs to be tossed.
-
One advantage of being a vegetarian is that most things in the freezer can be refrozen without doing us harm.

They might not taste great but they won't make us sick ;D

DR Jane, I’d gone to sleep about 11 and woke up when I heard Richard closing our bedroom windows. I don’t know if he was still up when the lights came back on. We’re just glad to have the AC functioning because it’s 91o with humidity that makes it feel like 103 :P

Bryan was sixteen before we had a home with air conditioning. He was two when we moved to the East Coast. I know too well what it feels like in that humidity without air.

The sun is still shining.
-
It is 61 degrees.
-
While I wish it was a little warmer I will not complain compared to those of you dealing with heat waves.
-
I’d take 61 in a heartbeat, DR Jane. Summer is my least favorite season.
-
I've seen Thatch behind my bed, but he's still in hiding. The crew's been gone for about two hours.

Everything is packed except the phone.
Wow, heading back towards home already?
We’re going from Cheyenne to Casper. Thankfully we aren’t going near Yellowstone.
-
It’s in the low 60s today with winds of more than 65 mph.
-
In other words, breezy for Wyoming.

I always remember flag day as it was my sister's birthday. It is hard to imagine she would have been 78 today.
-
I am sure she would have looked younger than I do ;D
-
Charlotte has a baby sister named Hannah Christine!
Congrats all around!! :D

And now, I'm off to be volunteer appreciated! ;)

Be back later.

Congratulations, Ginny!!

Thank you, DRs George, Jane, and Laura!
-
It is an exciting day.
-
The campaign is coming along - trying to get all these perks in. Thankfully, I could copy and paste some from the previous campaign, but I'm having to take lots of new photos and stuff, so I'll be doing this into the wee small hours of the morning. The video is done and it's uploading to me now - if it's good to go then I'll upload it to you tube. Need to take a small break and then it's back to the perks.
-
It is time for me to say......

'night
-
Before I leave....
-
I forgot to mention the river dropped an inch today.
-
We hope it continues to go down below flood level.
-
Walkers today told us that the path near Beaches is flooded, the area that tends to flood. It is a shame that the path was never raised in the area.

Thanks for this, Larry! I look forward to seeing this new version.

Another day shot to hell.
Oh, well.
I had a decent afternoon cleaning out cupboards in my bathroom. So much stuff has accumulated over the four years I have been here. I don't even remember why I bought some of it.
And some pharmaceuticals expire. Went through it all and scrapped the old stuff.
More tomorrow. My spirit is willing, but my get-up-and-do often flags.
-
In other words, breezy for Wyoming.
Did you have trouble driving?
I didn’t because I didn’t drive. But my friend Cecil found it occasionally hard.

I had yak for dinner. It was flavorful but chewy. Very chewy.
-
It was raised down the road.
-
The ranch isn’t open to the public. Otherwise, we’d go.

Jane, the winds were so strong that we saw a semi blow over in the oncoming lanes as we were headed to Casper. It was scary. The driver seemed to be okay.
-
We had driven past and I called 911. I got an answering machine: “If this is an emergency, please hang up and dial 911.”
Huh?
-
I stayed on the line and finally connected with a dispatcher who said he had received numerous calls already about the semi. So that was good.
-
I think that does it for me tonight.
-
Good night, all.
-
I forgot to mention the river dropped an inch today.
Whew!

Tonight at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts volunteer appreciation event, a whole bunch of us volunteers gathered to be appreciated. ;)

There were door prizes!

I won some local Dancing Goats (https://www.dancinggoats.com/) coffee.
-
I don't drink it, but I know people who do.
-
I also got a Dancing Goats mug and a pen and a pin and a couple of stickers.

They announced the next season!
-
They will actually have several musicals this season.
-
The last several seasons had one, maybe two Broadway-style musicals, but next season will have I think four.
-
One is a national tour of Legally Blonde.
-
I'm looking forward to that.
-
Another is a parody musical of the TV show Friends!
-
That looked fun...hopefully, it won't be stupid.
-
::)
-
;D
-
Another is Women of a Certain Age: The Musical (https://www.womenofacertainage.com/).
-
We were told that it was in the vein of Menopause The Musical (https://menopausethemusical.com/), which has sold out EVERY time that it's come to the WCPA!
-
And I forget what the other musical(s) could be.
-
No TCB again?
-
What in tarnation IS going on?
-
This is a very low number of postings.
-
New notes are up.
-
And I don't care who knows it.
