Good morning, all! I slept in, and now I have a full day of activity around the apartment: tidying, vacuuming, dusting. and a lot more things I really hate to do (but no lugging furniture, I hope!), plus more work on the EILEEN notes. Beyond that I have nada, zilch, to report.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Healing Vibes to DR cillaliz! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So, I did it last night. I really, really did it. Having taken a one and a half hour intermission to clear my brain after VILLAGE OF THE GIANTS, I settled into A FISTFUL OF DOLLARS and watched my first ever spaghetti, straight through, transfixed. This is a not bad achievement -- if I say so myself (and I believe I just did) -- for someone who rather ignored westerns all his life, up till just a couple of years ago. Loved it, and at 3:00 in the morning I was still taking in a few of the extras on the Blu-ray. Tonight the second film, no two ways about it, except that I shall start at a more decent hour.
And the word of the day is: ARMAMENTARIUM!
Smoke on your pipe and put that in.

Have to say how strange it is that you can "talk" with people you never expected to on Facebook. I swapped a few comments with Jason Carter who played "Marcus Cole" on Babylon 5 this morning. Never thought that would happen.

Which age was he talking about?

Good morning to ArnoldMBrockman!
I loved the Kiev pictures from DR DOUG R!!! Interesting and lovely.
I'm going to have to call the plumbers in. I've got water dripping into the kitchen from the bathroom above.

This is not turning out to be your month, Doug. Maybe you should get Jrand to tell you where Uranus is located at the moment.
It's now official (announced on Facebook) - our niece, Rev. Amy, and her husband Ken are expecting their 3rd child in December!
I'm being lazy. I still haven't gone and done the laundry. I'm just sitting on my butt like so much fish. Guess I'll get said butt in gear and get going.......

Best wishes to one and all!
I've spent the last month or so looking into back braces. I've worn one before. Although they are cumbersome (well, that one was), it did help. There are some new technologies available. I'm now trying out the Serola sacroiliac belt. My osteopath said it's what they recommend to their patients, but it doesn't help everyone. I must say it's very, very comfortable. It's worn around your hips, comes in several sizes, and is VERY adjustable. It remains to be seen how much it helps me. My back problems are not typical and are more difficult to address.
Dr Serola has a website that explains the belt.

When I first read that there was going to be a stage version of THE EXORCIST starring Richard Chamberlain and Brook Shields opening at the Geffen in L.A in July; I was horrified. However when I read that it was being directed by John Doyle; well I can't even put words to it.

Still in pain? Still not able to walk?
OK, can't find any confirmation, but I'd be remiss if I didn;t mention it here and it turned out to be true -
Is there any truth to the crazy rumor that Liza Minnelli and Tony Danza are engaged?
Wait -- Yes I did.

We had lots of fun at my nephew's graduation last night.
Today we trawled at Cheapos, a local used CD and record store. It's not as good as it was in the old days but we still had fun. Anthony is looking for a copy of the Partridge Family Bulletin Board to complete his collection Partridge Family LPs. He had it eons ago when he was a youth but over the years it went missing.
We returned to the Best Western Plus (it's a nice place). Anthony went to the Exercise Room, I napped and then we went to the pool and the sauna.
Anthony is now napping and will rise soon for his afternoon ablutions. We will then head over to my brother's house for the official Graduation and 18th Birthday party for Joe (my nephew).
We have no plans for tomorrow, other than me printing out our boarding passes for the Monday flight home.
Bye for now.
I loved the Kiev pictures from DR DOUG R!!! Interesting and lovely.
DR ELMORE the gift doesn't have to be tasteful.....I gave taste up for Lent.....and never looked back.
Congrats to DR JANE & KEITH and of course to BRYAN!!! Such good things....all in one day!
DR CILLA LIZ - I guess after her experience....the DR can stand for Doctor.....self diagnosis is a convenient talent
Good morning, all! I slept in, and now I have a full day of activity around the apartment: tidying, vacuuming, dusting. and a lot more things I really hate to do (but no lugging furniture, I hope!), plus more work on the EILEEN notes. Beyond that I have nada, zilch, to report.
DR JRand61, I look forward to more info on the "theatre events."
DR Ben, I hope the events in MN are going well!
Kudos to the Lassners, but, Nursie, the first reference to Bryan as "my son, the doctor" will get you a kick in the pants or a pie in the face. What re his plans now?
DR vixmom, good news on your mother!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Healing Vibes to DR cillaliz! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I believe the surveyors determined that the addition could not be built on the house. But I think they might be able to build a separate "wash house" that is detached. Or something like that.

Danise, how is the house coming along?
Mostly because it hasn't been built yet. :)I'm being lazy. I still haven't gone and done the laundry. I'm just sitting on my butt like so much fish. Guess I'll get said butt in gear and get going.......
I must have missed something, Danise. Why aren't you able to use your new washer/dryer in your new laundry room?
