Skip is watching Baker's Wife at this moment.

Maureen Silliman (BK's Last Starfighter co-star from last year) is in the show, so Bill Parry is in the audience today as well, as are RonniK and Mary Jay (who, by the way was the singing voice of the gargoyle Laverne in the Disney Hunchback II sequel that Skip worked on).

WHEW!

Before or after you went to the gym?

Good Afternoon dear friends!

I slept until 8:30am today. Quite a feat. We didn't go to bed until about 1am though. We went out last night. I left work after putting in a full day (and performing another save the department's ass trick) and we went to a friend's for dinner. We haven't seen Brett in months so it was very nice to catch up. He made cassoulet and mini quiches. There was also a wonderful hearty country bread and fresh butter. Mmm, mmm, mmm! We then had carrot cake for dessert because one of the other guests celebrated his birthday last night. During dinner we watch "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" I've only seen it a few times before. It was fun and Snoopy's turn at the piano is great.

After dinner and dessert we settled in for our almost Halloween Fright Night movie. We saw Straight-Jacket with Miss Joan Crawford. I had never seen it. I've heard about it but never watched it. What a hoot. Poor Joan. We had a very good time watching and visiting.

And how could I forget Stephen Spielberg's CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND (the original cut) which was almost a religious experience to me when I saw it)

Elvira Madigan
This Is Cinerama
Saturday Night & Sunday Morning
Death In Venice
Cinema Paradiso
Limelight (My introduction to the genius of Chaplin)

And of those mentioned by others:
Lawrence of Arabia
Close Encounters Of The Third Kind

I much prefer "The Knack" to "A Hard Day's Night".

I am not sure if I know from the TOD.

So I will just jump back onto the couch and finish up the Bollywood movie I began last night....DEH SHIVA BAR MOHE (2002), a very, very low budget, yet strangly entertaining, Punjabi film starring the popular pop singer Sukhjinder Shera along with Dara Singh, Deep Dhillon, and Sameep Kang.

I'd seen "Snow White" when I was quite young but it was "Lady & The Tramp" that really inroduced me to the joy of animated movies.

Mention of "Spirited Away" by DR François - and some time later by BK led me Animation on another level.

Of the Hitchcock films I think "Vertigo" was the one that I saw as being special.

Most of Us mention HITCHCOCK.

What about (in my mind) the Classic STRANGERS ON A TRAIN.

Take that Mr. Guy Haines !!

In any way He wishes

Saturday evening greetings!  Sorry to have been E&T all day, but I had to leave the house before 7am to drive to Delaware, OH, for a bored board meeting.  Just got home about half an hour ago.

Catherine? Hmm...It's actually Boo Boo Ann.

They are both doing fine today. They were very happy to see Adam arrive last night and enjoyed being with us in the livingroom as we watched Legally Blonde.  Callie really came to life around Adam, so it was good medicine for her.

They both seem pretty good today.  I think the antibiotics are really helping Callie.

Last week Adam went with me to see Callie's x-rays at the old vet. When I talked to him about it last night, he wasn't surprised at all and said he could easily see that the vet was more interested in making money off of the procedure than actually healing Callie.  I hope that isn't true, but was quite surprised that was his initial impression.

Roos only come out of the shelter of the trees and scrubland when it is cool. They spend most of the day sleeping in the shade where they can find it.
