Probably the true crime case I followed the closest was the Ted Bundy case, and not just because he went to my high school.  The murders of young women with long-hair, parted in the middle, terrorized Western Washington throughout all of 1974 long before Ted Bundy's name ever became associated with the crime.  By that time, Ted has been arrested in Utah  on suspicion of burglary.  He was later charged with attempted kidnapping of the only woman known to have escaped from Ted.  Eventually, Ted was connected to all of the disappearances in Washington, plus others in Utah and Colorado and finally in Florida (he escaped twice), as well as being suspected in dozen of other missing women's cases.

In a eerie footnote, back in the early Sixties a little eight year old girl disaapeared from her home here in Tacoma.  At first it was thought to be a possible custody battle between her parents, but eventually became one of Tacoma's most high-profile unsolved kidnappings.  Only years later did we find out that at the time of the kidnapping, fourteen year old Ted Bundy was the family's paperboy, and knew the little girl very well.

Back from an impromptu dinner - I had a honey walnut salad - very light.  Earlier I'd had Pad Thai and a salad, so I think I'm fine.

I'm really tired, I spent most of the night last night waking up every 5 minutes thinking that the bat scratching on the wall was about to make it into my bedroom.  Yes, I have discovered I have a REAL bat phobia.  From a distance they are fine, but I seem to be terrified of them in my house.  Thus, the batman adventures, no matter what the cost, shall be worth it.   I can sit in a little room and have no fear of humans who have done some terrible things, but a little bat who means me no harm scares the bejesus out of me....go figure that one

:o Talk about overkill!

Oh, boy! I'll say! Even I find that extravagant for a television.

Watched the first disc in the fifth season set of WILL & GRACE. These episodes introduced Harry Connick, Jr. as Grace's eventual husband. The third episode on the first disc is the episode Debra Messing submitted the year she won her Best Actress Emmy.

HOUSE had a couple of interesting cases to open its third season. And a very tearful (at least my eyes were filled with tears) conclusion, too.

LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT reaired its season finale tonight, a very creepy triangle story with Glenn  Headley as a stepmother to end all stepmothers.

And I watched the season premiere of NIP/TUCK tonight. Never been able to get into the show. Tonight, it was effortless getting into it, and it was VERY addictive.

BIG BROTHER SPOILERS

OK, Janelle has gone way up in my opinion, but you have to give Erika credit for helping her see the light and just in time.  And, this time they didn't let Janelle get away with anything, she really did let go with one hand

Mike Boogie has got to go. What an idiot.

ACtually, those little critters keep leaving half-chewed varmints on the deck... a little snack for Miz Pen, in case I get hungry...

Today in the mail, I received the DVDs "Adam & Steve" and "Third Man Out."  I'm glad I got these...almost all of my videos and DVDs are packed up in storage and I'm going to need something to watch when there's nothing on TV that I want to watch.  I also have Kevin Spirtas' DVD and a couple from the library, a 2004 live production of the opera "Gianni Schicchi," and "(Before American Idol ...) The Original Amateur Hour."  This DVD includes two complete episodes, just as they originally aired with commercials, even!
