Well, you've read the notes, the notes, were curious and got the better of the notes, and now it is time for you to post until the curious cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: DOXASTIC!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
Yesterday, I received in the mail from Amazon.co.uk the new cast recording of Cabaret (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0BLTKTM7J), starring Eddie Redmayne as The Emcee, Jessie Buckley as Sally Bowles, and Omari Douglas as Cliff.
-
Hopefully, I'll get to listen to it soonly.
-
Well, this is interesting...Repealing jaywalking laws to refocus on street design (https://t4america.org/2023/01/25/repealing-jaywalking-laws-to-refocus-on-street-design/).
Washington could be the next state to repeal jaywalking laws. While the repeal could address racial and social justice issues, the effort could also lead the conversation toward more just and safe street design.

Good morning, all!
-
It got quite chilly in the apartment for a change and that was very good. I had a dream I remember now in fragments, but it's one I've had several times: I've moved or I* am moving into a new apartment in a rather run-down building, where something spooky may occur.
-
This morning, I may attempt to do the laundry, but I may also procrastinate, depending on my mood. I would like to finish the first number of the ballet, and I have the Dear World number to work on as well. Decisions, decisions . . .
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Current "feels like" here is -17.
-
So I shan't go out jogging.
-
Not that I would, anyway - my knees don't tolerate it.
-
I've got the bee's knees.
-
Good morning.
-
The family was over yesterday. The best person in the world is Grandpa, and the rest of us let him look after Grandson. Grandpa is still tired.
-
Nice that you can have that family time, DR Laura.
-
Does Leonard make himself scarce when there's company?
-
Good morning from.Florida

We are leaving soon to meet the kids then go to a RenFaire
-
But first Wordle
-
DR vixmom - I hope you will be singing madrigals at the RenFaire.

Glad I don’t have to go out and sing at a Ren Faire this morning.

Good morning!

Wordle: 4/6

Florida vibes for The VIXES.
-
DR JANE I saw that woman conductor on television saying the same things in your article.
She seemed as pretentious and full of herself as the character - and just as unlikable.
-
I keep my house at 70 degrees.
And as I wrote here, my electric bill had been nearly $200 for December. My gas furnace is supposed to take over from the heat pump at 32 degrees.....but it seemed to me it would take an hour or two for the heat pump to raise the temperature even two degrees.
So I put the system on Emergency Heat which means if I want heat, the furnace comes on.
My electric bill for January was $68.00.
-
DR JOHN G at least the band was good.
-
Good news vibes for DR GEORGE.

I have learned that the cheeto sphere is the work of artist Sam Keller. Here is a piece about him and his other food art humor:

Well, it's official...I've been invited to come to the callback auditions for Sunday in the Park with George next Saturday!
-
...in spite of my screeching of the high notes! ;)
-
Well, congratulations DR George!
-
I'm sure being named George didn't hurt. :)
-
Do they want something from the show during the callback?
-
Good news DR GEORGE.
-
DR JOHN G why didn't you dance WHILE you played the bells. I would have saved time.
-
I am watching the Men's Free Skate of the U.S. Championships on NBC.
-
Dang! I always miss when the skating is on. Thank you, DR Jrand72.
-
Yes, saving time is always important.
-
There are many activities that can be done simultaneously.
-
Although not always to the advantage of each.
-
I think Johnny Weir just said the skater Jimmy Ma is a concert penis.
-
DR singdaw we're just going into the final five.......
-
Well, if you have to be a penis, you might as well be a concert penis.
-
Is the skater who previously landed the first quadruple quad in competition skating today?
-
Four.
-
DR George, congratulations on getting a callback!
-
Well, congratulations DR George!
Thanks, Singdaw!
-
Do they want something from the show during the callback?
Nothing prepared. They just said:
We'll do some movement and reading in the first part of the audition and work on some music in the second. Please wear clothes and shoes you feel comfortable in for movement.
-
Good news DR GEORGE.
Thanks, Jrand!

Callbacks are good.

Episode nine is done - we only did a few little things to it - the usual stuff. The song isn't quite to my liking yet - it's fine visually but because when we film these things where the singer is singing live to a track only they can hear, then all I'm hearing is the voice and I have no idea if piano and voice are together and in this case they're just not because the singer was rushing or off the beats and it drives me crazy. We can't change the vocal at all, but we CAN perhaps have the pianist create a new piano track so that they're always together. So, we'll get the vocal sounding good, then try this new piano track thing and hope it works.
-
That sounds like a bit of a headache.

I hope DR TCB will make an appearance tonight. We all worry about him.

I have been working on a project all evening.

Fun photo, DR Vixmom!
More, please. 😊
-
DR Vixmom, did you attend the one in Melbourne?
I know a few people who went last weekend, and they all had a wonderful time.
-
Good night, HHW.
Pleasant dreams. 😴
-
Is this going to be another night sans Rabbit Hole George?
-
We're not even close to page seven and page eight is waiting to make its entrance.
-
Raining again here.
-
Still have eighty pages to proof, but I think I'll do it when I get up so I have fresh eyeballs.
-
Callbacks are good.
I agree! :D
-
I think I do well enough with reading from scripts.
-
As for the music, I can sight read fairly well, and I'm familiar with the score enough to know that I won't embarrass myself.
-
I've gone to so many auditions with people who can't read music. ::)
-
Granted, they can eventually learn it, but it just takes longer than necessary.

That’s strange, I received your $200.00 bill.

Actually, mine was for two months.

I get my electric bill every month. I always thought that it was weird that some people get theirs every two months. What's up with that??

I can read some in the treble clef, but none in the bass clef.
-
Fortunately, most vocal solo lines are written in the treble clef, even for lower male voices. It's the ensemble singing where it's all written in the bass clef at the actual pitches.
-
The boys are here.
-
I am here.
-
Notes are written.
-
Page eight is waiting in the wings.
-
As am I.
-
Now is not the time to take a break, boys.
-
Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their postings.
-

Yes, I know. If I was auditioning for SUNDAY IN THE PARK, it would certainly be for a chorus part.
-
Now is not the time for a break.
-
TCB, why a chorus part. You could be Dot.
-

Gone with the wind.

Have we even gotten to 200 posts yet?

And?

Gratuitous Post #214!!
-
I set a hot dog and fire earlier
-
And?
And?
And?? Is there an echo in the house?
-
I set a hot dog and fire earlier
Where did you set them?
-
Or did you set the hot dog ON fire?
-
I made three hot dogs in the broiler, took two out, one looked like it needed a bit more heat so I left that one in and the next thing I know smoke is coming out from the top of the stove. I shut the broiler off instantly, pulled the on fire broiler pan out and doused it with water. The hot dog, of course, was not edible.
-
I can't remember the last time that happened. It happened way in the past on a different stove with a steak.
-

Darn...not too much worse than ruining a hot dog. :-\

It was heart pounding suspense.

New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
I think next time, I may try doing the hot dogs in a frying pan and see what that's like.
-
I might even do one right now since I only ate the two hot dogs and some chili.
-
I just might.
-
Who's gonna stop me?

Couldn’t you pretend you were cooking at a campfire?
-

I've done that and they can be very good, especially if you make little cuts along and around the hot dog.
-
That increases the surface area that cooks and adds flavor. :)
