Dear Wife Joy's been baking...
an apple tart
Looks just like the picture in Bon Appetit magazine!

We just took a walk through the woods, lit only by the full moon.  It reflected in the stream.  Last night, we watched the moon disappear, and then come back in that odd way it did.

Trivia: Predicting an eclipse is an essential plot point in what musical?

I have been participating on this site for about a year and a half now.  My brother, who has been ridiculously errant and truant from HHW, is the one who sent me here.  My gain and his loss.

Amongst my favorite moments on this site are those when we've played "Worst Cast Scenario."  Some of the suggestions made by Dear Readers have been absolutely hysterical.

DR TFO:  I adore Anna Russell.  Her take on Wagner's Ring is one of the best, if not the best, comic routines ever done.  (In my humble opinion, of course.)

Oh, I think I've been around HHW since its inception.
I can't recall any low points, but the high points are indeed high!

Of course, knowing this site (and the kindly BK) aided in my writing about THE FIRST NUDIE MUSICAL online and in the pages of Scarlet Street.
http://www.dvdlaunch.com/firstnudiemusicalse.html
I also got to converse with BK in the form of an unseemly interview:
http://www.dvdlaunch.com/firstnudiemusicalinterview.html

I've got packages from Oz, Great Britain, France, Washington, New York, Arizona, New Jersey, California. . .et al. .

Sparkling friendships have been ignited.
Sparkling chats have been had both online and offline.

HHW is the oasis of the internet - - a calming yet exciting place where one's hunger and thirst for knowledge (unlike and unseemly) can be sated with good companions.

Happy Anniversary to HHW!  I am, like Danise, a relative newbie but I have really enjoyed reading everyone's posts and getting to know people.  I found this site through reading some Unseemly Interviews and wanting to know what Hainsies/Kimlets were, and it went from there.  (I would love to read an interview with Mary Bond Davis - she is so nice!)

Here's to many more anniversaries and parties.

In the midst of all of this sparkle and bootie-shaking, I'm having a small moment of melancholy....my very own adopted junior broadway baby hasn't appeared on here yet to set his cutie-bootie into motion.

Where for art thou Jason??   ???  :-\

Greetings All and Happy Second Anniversary!

I'm back from my Andrea Bocelli/Elton John weekend concerts.  Phew, a smashing time was had by all!

Now to catch up on all the postings.  Oy and I have less than an hour before all the chit chat commences.

DR TD--OK.  I'll chill and roll with the flow.  Still, you're scaring me.

DR MG--I'm so excited I don't think I can eat.  Nevertheless, the caterer is here and all the footmen are getting dressed for the big soiree.  I think I will need to go and help them get ready.

And, indeed, WITH (where in the hell, in internet lingo) is DR Jason?  The chutzpah of the lad to be errant and truant on such a grand occasion.

Home from the movies and finally caught up on the posts.  Our anniversary is filled with wonderful stories.  I think everyone is fun, nice and supportive.  I guess that’s what keeps me coming back.  Of course the fact I laugh and smile a lot when I’m here doesn’t hurt.

Yes Jennifer, we do have dollar stores-some better than others

Ann, you poor thing-to be sick in a parking lot.  Wishes for a speedy recovery and may that never happen to you again!

Ron Pullman, since you have an interest in Jesuit’s you should read “The Sparrow”.

I will never deny being one of the Chosen People, but looking over my posts of today, oy, I don't know from where I was coming.  (Get it?  A particularly yiddisheh construction that sentence was--just like this one.)

So, while we're on the subject.  Do you Dear Readers know the difference between Gentiles and Jews?

Gentiles leave and never say goodbye.  Jews say goodbye and never leave.

 ;)

Didn't Laura II come on (or was it Maya) and tell us that Swishy's father found out about her internet sneaking and said he would not look the other way. Then one or the other came on to say Swishy got a B in algebra and was hoping to be back on HHW in a few days. Or am I dreaming this all? :

Yup, Jennifer, that first part was from me. :) Like Maya said, Sarah is getting a B and should be back on the 12th, when reports cards are issued. I spent 3 hours on the phone with her on Thursday night, and we had a great time just catching up. She misses everyone here, but she should be back soon. She started training at work on Thursday (answering phones), and they wanted her to learn how to wait on tables the next day! She also had an All-County concert yesterday. She called me while I was out, and I called her back, but I missed her, so hopefully she'll be allowed on chat tonight! Oh, she's actually the reason I came to HHW. She contacted bk after reading Juliana's Journal, and the rest is history!

Happy Anniversary - AGAIN!!  Put "Once Upon a Matress" to bed this afternoon (no groaning!) ready to get "Jerry's Girls" on it's feet this eve and this week.  I also agreed to MD "Lucky Stiff" next summer at this small theatre in Pacifica, Ca  where I just played Matress.  Can't wait, will be the second time doing "Lucky Stiff"

I think I stumbled about HHW last August (2002) while surfing the 'net, I think the link was on that page that has all the Theatre related news at one place, can't remember.  Anyhow, I'm glad I did.

Have a great chat.   :D

I am listening to the Broadway Radio and there is a song called "Just Arrived" and it sounds like a rip off of Bruce's own The Lights and the Smiles from First Nudie Musical
