Thanks to everyone for the good job vibes.  Hopefully I will have news sometime this week about an interview and will certainly keep you posted.

HANS CHRISTIAN ANDERSON/THE COURT JESTER - while I didn't "get it away from" MR BK....I am happy to say I was awarded one of the CD's as a sparkling prize quite some time ago.  AND Danny Kaye fans would do well to find it on EBAY or maybe Amazon.com shops if it is available.  It is indeed sparkling!

Those Hong Kong Musicals looks fascinating.  Perhaps MBARNUM will buy some and pass along the VCD's to some needy bald people.

Thanks DR JANE.  I love that Doris Day photo, too.  ;D

So to celebrate a new page, instead of dancing....here is Miss Day at the 1989 Golden Globe Ceremony where she was presented with the Cecil B. DeMille Award.    :-*

Nice photo, but it looks like she's wearing the inside of a coffin!

All I have is Decca 8479, Danny Kaye sings from Hans, with side 2 being Tubby the Tuba and some other stuff. This would be the LP with Jane Wyman. The Hans material is actually gorgeously sung and arranged, thanks to the great Gordon Jenkins.

And now, though I am not sleepy, I must to sleep be going.

Well hopefully she did fire her stylist after she saw the photos.

Doris was never impressed with the costume designers at Warners and she was even more upset at the makeup department....she called them "embalmers."

The Lovely Wife and I watched THE INCREDIBLES tonight which was a very winning and fun film.

Last night we watched BEING JULIA and, despite likeing many of the performers, I was disappointed.  It just sort of laid there and was flat.  And the whole thing seemed much ado about nothing.  I thought being Julia was actually being rather shallow and silly.  Why she becomes involved with the drip she becomes involved with was beyond me.

And there did not really seem to be much of a love-letter to the theatre or the acting profession as I hoped it might be...certainly not a THOSE LIPS, THOSE EYES, or SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE, or ALL ABOUT EVE or LES ENFANT DU PARADIS or even THE PRODUCERS...

The Decca Hans with Jane Wyman is the one we reissued.  The actual soundtrack has never been legally available.

I basically felt the same about Being Julia, which I wrote about a week ago.  Good performances and some nice scenes.

All packed - just need to put my dopp kit in my carry-on after I take care of my morning ablutions in the morning.

Yeah!  Nice weather in Indy!  I was checking weather.com for the forecasts for Dallas and Indy... Looks like I won't need to wear a jacket tomorrow.  :)

...Now I just need to figure out if I will need to reset my watch once I get there.  Company Management posted a notice on the Call Board regarding the no-DST zone and how we would not need to worry about the time change; and the wording was somewhat convoluted.  Someone pencilled in "Is this a test for MENSA?" at the top.  ;)

-Ssshhh... it looked suspiciously like the conductor's handwriting... Ssshhh... ;)

I guess we'll find out what time it is when we land.

And, yes, through Dallas.  We'll be on American... So, if you want to set up the banners at the airport and/or hold up that piece of paper with my name on it... ;)

I'll tell you exactly why the latter half of Being Julia doesn't work after we roll over to tomorrow.  Not enough time now.
