Gradually, the lights are extinguished, until the service ends in total darkness.

My job [besides singing] is then to create a loud "bang" [signifying what, I've never been specifically told] by slamming a 10 pound book down on a hollow wooden floor in the darkness.  

The trick is to keep it from bouncing.     ;D

I am trying to rejoin the land of the living. On the mend, but my stomach is not at all sure about the idea of food. My jeans are getting quite loose.

OOH!!  I loved that part of the Holy Week services!  The church I went to as a child, they would drop 2X4s onto the marble(?) floors at the back of the church.  BOOM!!!!!!!

Anytime I feel discouraged listening to JS Bach will pick me up. Beethoven, too, but I'm absolutely a Bach lover. Both composers restore my faith in the human race--well, some of it.

If there ever was a Broadway Musical that would translate to the screen-This is the one. Just think-Reality in Technicolor-Fiction in Black and White. The story is interesting and the Score is Wonderful
